The golden bit is just a little add on and i like that blizzard has done something like this with a small add on that means absolutely nothing, besides that, this card is actually a decent card, i could see this being run in highlander priest, exodia mage, evolve shaman, secret mage, ETC. this card isn't good for gold, it's good because it gives you that second copy,
Well, yeah, this card is pure cheese. The gold just makes it sharp cheddar cheese. It will be delicious. Especially with some Youthful Brewmaster beer. Cannot wait to Emperor T her and Ragnaros to fuck shit up in wild. ;)
Quest rogue?
manic soulcaster is not that great though - a better compare would be shadowcaster which saw a good amount of play in its day. This seems like a different take on that - you can do similar shenanigans. No cost reduction, but full stats. This comes in at a much lower mana cost so while you cant do the shenanigans of lowering a card's cost, you do have easy access to duplicate legendaries (think reno, keleseth, kazakus, brann, lich king, tirion, leeroy (OMG Leeroy shadowstep leeroy, gorgonzola leeroy)

You're mixing your myths, Blizz. Midas had the golden touch, not the gorgons!
