This card I feel is going to be a sleeper hit. It might possibly miss the mark completely because it is a legendary, making the chances of drawing this card by turn 6 not that high. All the effects that have thinned the deck have mostly been rather strong. Cards like Mad Scientist, Mysterious Challenger, Patches the Pirate, Finja, the Flying Star all saw a lot of play. While these cards do rely on you to dilute your deck (in some cases), they all heavily outweighed this for when they happen. If we get a minion version of Shadow Visions for minions, this card will be busted with it.
As for what types of decks this can be played in, I can see this being played in any form of midrange, where you use your cheap cards to claim the board but then drop Hemet, Jungle Hunter and pretty much always draw into a "big" (in terms of midrange) drops. However, I easily think this can be used in paladin. If you look at it's class cards, none of the early drops are "must have". They all help but it would still be better to draw a 5-6-7-8 drop instead of a 1-3 drop. Also, another person mentioned an aggro pally deck with Hemet, Jungle Hunter, Holy Wrath and Molten Giant to get an almost guaranteed lethal (if Hemet, Jungle Hunter is drawn).
All together, this card has potential, if the meta slows down a bit, this card will probably see play, whether that deck is good or not depends on the other cards printed.

The examples of deck thinning that you mentioned are nothing like hemet. Mad scientist was good because for 2 mana, you would draw and play a card, mysterious challenger was good because of the huge amount of tempo you got when you played it on curve, the deck thinning is a side effect, since you never wanted to draw the secrets in the early game anyway. Patches is just free value, thinning as nothing to do with it, and same for finja.
Thats a good point but I still think Hemet, Jungle Hunter is good because having less cards in your deck tends to be better (unless in a fatigue matchup, which then you are screwed). As for Patches the Pirate and Finja, the Flying Star, only part of their power comes from having the effects go off. Less cards overall in your deck leads to better odds at drawing the cards you want. However, it is not possible to see how much these effects change your draws. As for Mysterious Challenger and Mad Scientist, the secrets probably pushed the cards over the top, but the deck thinning is still there.
Not to be the stereotypical magic player who goes onto hearthpwn and says "All of you know nothing about game design, blah blah blah", but having a smaller deck tends to do much better in magic as it gives you a higher chance to draw into your good cards. However, this may not carry over to hearthstone and as you said, none of the things I mentioned have an effect as large as Hemet, Jungle Hunter. Maybe it'll be good, maybe not, we'll just have to see for the expansion to come out to see how it performs.

Sure, the 1 time out of 100 at rank 20 you get the perfect hand RNG to make it work.
I don't understand why some people think this card is bad. Its actually really powerful in the right deck.
The voting results show that a lot of people fail to grasp just how insane this battlecry can be when used in the right type of deck. But hey, half of us are on this site because we like to build new decks; the other half are mere netdeckers who struggle to see the application of cards until they watch someone on Twitch perform well with it. It's definitely more of an arena card than something that works in constructed, but it's an auto-include in ramp druid because drawing innervate when you need to continue a chain of big minion pressure kills you. This is one of the most interesting build-around cards they've made and I can't wait to try it out.

Play Hemet after getting Queen Carnassa in your hand, to dispose of the other 1-3 drops. Play Carnassa next turn and fill your board every turn with 3/2's. Free win if you enemy can't manage to board clear you every turn.
A Brewmaster in your hand could also be quite helpfull with Carnassa.
That's still pretty finicky, I doubt it will be regular in the high tier Hunter decks. The risk of it being at the bottom of the deck is too high, and you can't keep it in the opening hand, with the quest already filling up a spot. It's a good idea, but I doubt it's viable
i can see this thing working with Yshaarj, killing your weak stuff after turn 9 so you reduce the amount of low cost minions you can draw from his effect. Still, on paper looks super bad IMO, it doesnt do anything on the board when dropped and his stat line are not great.
Wow, love the effect, mid range/aggro? won't have bad top decks now.
It's not a shaman card, we might see new mid range decks from other classes because of this, also maelstrom portal is hardly a good card late game.
It'd be interesting if deathrattles activated from beyond the grave, though from the wording I don't think they will :T
Hmm... it could, we have to make sure, Fel Reaver reads "remove" this card reads "Destroy". But I agree, it would be insane.

This can work in some kind of mid-range and control decks. In late game when you having a top deck war with your opponent you can make sure that you will not draw sh1t cards when you play this. Can work in some decks.
