Honestly, [card]Gadgetzan Ferryman[/card] seems like it could have use with this deck actually and not be worthless.
OMFG Angry Chicken META
I think this is much more powerful than people realize. This quest makes Shadowcaster into something really awesome, the 1/1s created by it will turn into 1 mana 5/5s. But I think this has more potential in making plenty of cheap garbage cards you would never put into your deck very viable because of their effects.
Garbage cards like Stonetusk Boar and Young Dragonhawk suddenly become a nightmare, the already good Argent Squire becomes a must include, of course nobody can forget Southsea Deckhand. The amazing thing is could activate this quest
on turn oneedit: before turn 5 if you wanted to (and lucky enough), on average the quest gets activated on turn34 with the right deck. All that you have to do then is pad your deck with lots of cheap card draw and you already have a great deck. In my opinion this is the best quest that we've seen so far.
That would be one way to do it. But I suppose quests are most likely to be completed beyond turn 6 or 7 (statistically). But swarming your board with cheap 55s just seams to me less powerful than the imp portal.
The difference is that those 2 free imps are only 3/2 vanilla stats with no text, the rogue quest has more potential for combo decks. Plus, the warlock quest pretty much demands you to play discardlock, that kind of deck is really inconsistent and thus the quest would take you way longer to complete than the rogue one.
Lmao, show me how to complete the quest on turn one. Do you even know that quest cost you one card?
Oh yeah, forgot that once you complete the quest you get a 5 mana spell that you have to play. Nevermind what I said above then. Rogues on average will activate it on turn 5 is my guess now.
and youw ere damn right man, in fact only the Warrior, mage and rogue quests are the ones seeing play, i was lucky to open the former two, had toc raft the later, been ahving tons of fun ;)
This rogue quest is probably the least powerful quest. I mean, if you play this card you are supposed to play a bunch of small minions bounced back and forth, and in later game they are all gonna become 55s. But late game 55s aren't that powerful. One way that can make it work is that you fill your deck with small minion with drawing effects, but you lose all the synergies on board.
On wild: Southsea Deckhand + Patches the Pirate, Gang Up Patches the Pirate, Southsea Deckhand = 30 damage combo of 3 cards assuming you draw both Southseas before the Patches (Otherwise you'll use Patches first and end up with only 25 damage). You can make the combo easier with Shadowsteps/Brewmasters but you'll likely use them to complete the quest.
In this case, your patches should not be summoned before and you should complete the quest before you combo. This would be an extreme case. Of course streamers are gonna try out this card. But in standard ladder, my personal opinion is that this card is not as powerful as the rewards from other quests and probably would see less play.
I agree, without Gang Up is has no real chance to enter the meta
Exactly what Lazy Deckbuilders said
i say it entered the meta and took it by a storm, it might not end up as powerful as it's now but it's basically the gateway deck for a meta now, now every dekc builder has to ask himself "can my deck beat quest rogue?" before laddering up with it
D you still think it's the weakest quest? kappa :D
This might work if you get the perfect opening i.e Turn 1 quest tinyfin, tinyfin, shadowstep, shadowstep, tinyfin, tinyfin. Turn 2 topdeck prep and play the quest, making the tinyfins 5/5. Otherwise this doesn't look that great.
How does it suggest that?
The first thing he says is play the quest? The second play the quest means the core.
I don't think he meant tracking the quest. You get the quest in your opening regardless. But hes saying if you can get 2 tiny fin and 2 shadowstep. You complete the quest in turn 2 and play it immediately with prep.
This explains why they make Conceal go to wild kappa
