There are at least 10 direct spells to deal with such minions. But my original point is, why the HELL would you play chogall and shadowflame on it? 1) you need 2 cards in your hand, 2) which total cost is 11, 3) to only deal 7 dmg to enemy board, triggering all deathrattle effects, popping bubbles and not killing big targets, 4) and you get dmg to your face and waste your entire turn.
If you are that desperate on turn 7, then you lost already. So again, i would rather play twisting nether, which clears all, doesnt hurt my face, is only 1 card and dont have to sacrifice a body
So many wrong things in your comment...
If you play a Reno deck you play both twisting nether and shadowflame.
You said the combo with shadowflame costs 11, don't you understand the battlecry of this guy ?
You're talking about deathrattles, tell me how many sticky minions are left in standard. Ok, harvest golem and Cairne Bloodhoof.
7 damage to the enemy board isn't enough ? I don't know what decks you're facing but it's clearly enough 90% of the time.
And what is that about being desperate if you cast that on turn 7 ? At least it's one turn before twisting nether, and you can cast shadowflame on another minion if you want. Plus if you play Reno you can comeback after cleaning the board.
I don't think Cho'Gall is a good card but your arguments against it were really lame.
@Rencol ZOMG, paying 7 mana and 8 life for Twisting Nether is sooo much better than 8 mana, unbelievable value!
Seriously though, currently the only spells worth casting with Cho'gall are Siphon Soul and Shadowflame. We'll have to wait and see if something else comes with this set.
This will be so funny if Warlock also get a "Fobidden" card XD
What about DOOM!?
You will have 10 mana left OMG!
Not as good as being Legendary , maybe an Epic ? , just one in deck maybeee u draw it is not good with this battlecry,
Then the Twisting Nether kills Cho'gall, you use an extra card to take 8 damage and save 1 mana... not value.

This card is crazy.
Really upset about this card >:( No Demon legendary to synergise with other Demons, doesn't look like Demon Warlock can be a thing in Standard...
I want my Turtle back. :-/
There would be a new warlock spell that summons 2 boom bots.
Ooookkk I read every comment so far and apparently no1 noticed that chogal reduced weight and got a six pack compared to heroes of the storm chogall cmon people!!
Heroes of the storm doesnt use the Cho'gall from Bastion of twilight which this card is hes not only got a 6 pack but random eyeballs and back spikes.
The old gods have their rewards for those being loyal to them c'thun rewarded them for almost resurrecting him (they actually got corrupted but still)
Shame they don't interact with C'Thun, considering their lore, but a nice effect nonetheless.
I think this card might be rly strong depending on how much heals there will be. Healbot will obv disappear, but there is still reno and some new heals. 7 mana might be little on expensive side, but this card might see competitive play even if not immediately, but also i future there are coming spells. I took quick peak in collection and there are not so many 5mana+ warlock spells apart from boardclears which will make it die itself so maybe not that good after all. With siphon soul its still pretty solid though.
Silly combo (Literally silly, don't do this)
Turn 9: Arch-Thief Rafaam
Turn 10: Cho'gall + Powerful Artifact + Molten Giant + Molten Giant + Sunfury Protector
Much more likely this card's gonna be used for tempo play. turn 7 combo with Siphon Soul or Shadowflame for removal.
Disgusting in Wild when you Unstable Portal into it and get Pyroblast but that's not happening.
The lack of a space between "Battlecry:" and the word "The" is kinda... disturbing.
Thanks man, I can't unsee it now
So if you Brann him... Then do you get the effect twice? or do you get double the damage?
