This is gonna be fun with Rafaam's artifacts!
Dark bargain as well. Imagine these are you two cards in hand. Get a 7/7 and destroy two minions for some health? Yes please.
I have a feeling you don't understand too much about opinions, or what mad is ...or the internet.
So Warlock has a high class problem of having too many cards in hand - this give a lot of flexibility if you have the health, YOu can drop on turn seven a decent stat minion and play a spell, any spell regardless of mana cost.
I think that your opinion is precisely what is at issue. Feel free to dust the card when you get it - I think that that will generally be considered a dumb move by those in the know. And if you think that this is implying that you are dumb or not in the know, just realize that that is just my opinion :-)
If i don't pull chogall i will be crafting it. Just my 2 cents :)
Everyone surprised or upset by the relatively week power of this card compared to say Dr. Boom currently live in the mindset that massively powerful minions reside in the 7 drop slot and upwards thanks to the fact that in almost all cases Dr. Boom is in your deck. Quite clearly we can see that the Hearthstone team are trying to shift that power further up the cost bracket towards the 10 mana slot by giving you further power in cards the more mana you invest in them:
It can be a mediocre 7/7 as people are saying but it certainly has the potential to make a big impact. Playing two Spreading Madness for 10 mana AND leaving a 7/7 behind? Sure it's a little RNG but if you have no board and your opponent does.
Besides all of that, it totally fits the flavour of Warlock.
Should have read "the next spell you cast cost health instead of mana" and it would have been good. The restriction "this turn" makes it significantly weaker.
Why?
Yes...but the idea that a 7 drop should be something so impactful on the board/game state is a large part of what is wrong with HS right now and all credit to the designers for powering down 7 drops.
Turn 7 shouldn't be 'oh I have this thing in my hand so I'll play it'...that's linear and boring, predictable, uninteresting play. Forcing you to actually make decisions.
People need to stop clutching to the idea that anything like Dr. Boom is good for the game.
If you can play a 7 drop with maly already on the board you've already won the game.
Pretty good.
Renounce the darknes-chogull
It has been confirmed that you cannot lethal yourself with Cho'Gall, and it doesn't pay mana instead of the health, it just disallows the spell.

While this isn't a big deal whatsoever, this is to note, anti-synergistic with Mal'Ganis.
So, if I have 5 Health and i cast Siphon Soul, Do i die?
No, you just won't be able to cast it.
^ Why did I get a downvote for stating a fact?
I love this place.
I just had an awful thought. The high mana kill everything cards like Twisting Nether and DOOM! might be the only high mana cards Warlock gets, because if they got something like Pyroblast or Lay on Hands they could blow their opponent away (actually Lay on Hands would just be funny to lose 8 health, then get it back and gain 3 cards). As much as I love this guy, I have a feeling Brode might have wrote himself into a corner with it, just like Big Game Hunter and they're going to be more cautious with Warlock spells in the future and we might just not see many spells over 6 mana.
I still love him, drop him and Siphon Soul for a big threat and remove anything for nearly no cost.
Warlocks have never really been about massive direct spell damage. Flavor wise they're already written out of the likes of Pyroblast in Warlock. Remember how they made Soulfire 1 mana because of that sort of stuff back in the day? I don't think the Hearthstone team will be too upset about writing themselves out of such ridiculousness.
Because the designers aren't thick.
