I would definitely keep an eye on this card, traditionally, alternate casting costs in CCG's are a gateway for brokenness.
Lorewalker Cho 2.0. Just kidding, this will be good if not fantastic in Renolock
Pretty much any spell is worth it turn 7, I think. With the exit of our dear friend Dr. Boom, turn 7 is open for just about every class. Being able to get a 7/7 and what is basically a free spell is incredibly valuable. Even playing Chogall + Mortal Coil could be worth it. It's a huge tempo play no matter what. Even with 1 cost spells, the alternative on turn 7 is to play a 6 cost minion with the 1 cost spell. Most of the time, for every health you spend with this card, you're getting at least +1/+1 worth of value out of it just from the body. Not to mention how it can help you get cheap Molten Giants
he would be good if he summon two Boom-Imps instead (warning: Boom-Imps may explode)
Cho'Skill
So if the warlock forbidden spell (speculating) has no mana to drain will it drain your all life ?:D
Forbidden spell will always cost 0, no matter if you have mana to drain or not.
but the spell will remove all the mana left
No, because the spell's cost is 0, and spending all your mana is part of its effect. So you would pay 0 health, and then all your mana.
How will this work with Brann Bronzebeard? Will it give you two free spells, or will it make the next one deal double it's cost to you?
There should be some clarificiation, but since it says "next spell" my guess is that Brann fizzles. But it certainly would be cool if it worked.
Neither of those things. It will make the next spell cost 0, and cost that amount of health instead. It will do that twice, which is the same as once.
Probably the closest thing currently is Echoing Ooze, which effectively puts a hidden buff on the ooze until the end of the turn when it is triggered. Putting the same "buff" on it twice is the same as once, which is why brann + ooze only gets you one extra ooze.
In both cases there is really no need for it to be a battlecry, but Blizz has done a consistent job of not introducing new mechanics into the game, so the only "1 time when you play the card" effect they have is called "battlecry." (And I guess so Nerub'ar Weblord can interact with them?)
Battlecry is a very important distinction, as it only triggers when played from the hand. It also signifies a single action, as you've mentioned. That's why Deathlord is good in some decks
Another thing to keep in mind with it being a battlecry and not a passive effect is that it will not trigger when summoned by another card like Confessor Paletress.
Yes, I think people know what battle cry is. But that's only an "important distinction" because Blizz wants it to be. There could be more than 4 key-words, but they decided that the average player wouldn't enjoy a more difficult game. Hearthstone is designed for a 3rd grade reading level, so they just lump it into "battlecry".
the only issue is this most of warlock board clears destroys or damages their own minions too such as doom or twisting nether or hellfire if the board clears of warlock were more positive this card would be pretty good for example this card would be perfect with flamestrike
Man Cho'Gall should have been a card controled by both players :P
Now all we need is a spell that summons two 1/1 boom bots (WARNING: bots may explode)
I really like this card. If I undenstand Battlecry correctly, you can summon Cho'Gall at turn 7 and cast a spell, that cost for example 5 mana. Losing health is, especially in Warlock class, more efficient than mana.
How will this work with whatever Forbidden card Warlock gets? Will it "cost" the 3 mana remaining as health? Or will it be 0 "cost"?
Currently based on the wording, it will cost either 3 or up to 30. Here's hoping to the former.
