400 more dust =)
Of course there are better cards. When you rely on board presence (which is how it should be) you're paying quite a lot to damage the opponents board by damaging your own. Baron Geddon was so good in Control Warrior because they could mitigate the damage to themselves via Armor Up but also because he was just another threat. In some cases he would be activating some minions that survived but not for more than a turn.
Great way to help get out Molten Giants.
it's sad that it says "this turn"
Man, for the master of the twilight hammer, they made hi pretty bad. I mean ya he matches the class team and it's great and all but he's just a 7/7 golem. The problem i see here is that the warlock already has enough cards that hurt him, to top it off he doesn't have that make high cost spells which would be efficient in such a situation aside from maybe soul siphon. The other problem is it says the next spell you cast this turn, it can't be used to set up a combo to say with malygos or so forth, since you will have to play a 7 cost minion to get it. The only way i think this can be relatively viable would be to have some new mid range spells from this new expansion made to work with it specifically.
Very happy to see they are releasing more class cards that are congruent with class theme.
Why it is not a demon?
As demon he would be much better, so he is near "dust it!", i think.
Noone needs an ogre!
We need more Marines. (a..., sorry demons)
;-)
So far the best I can come up with for this card is 1) Arch-Thief Rafaam gives you lantern of power on an earlier turn + arcane golem for 14 point burst (new combo?). 2) a discover type deck + Nefarian gives you other spells. 3) Cho'gall lets you use one of warlock's op removals and get a 7/7 on the board for momentum. Pretty much seems like it has to be a slow reno-lock card to me, or even slower like Day 9's fatigue warlock :P
I was just thinking how broken he could be in other classes. DIdnt think of neferian-ing other class cards! Maybe Ill find some use for Cho'Gall after all :) Dont think SYphon Soul nor Shadow flame with him is too impressive, but it can function as some neat flexibility. Dragon lock with Neferian and Cho'Gall lets go!
As mage i Pyroblast myself in unwinable situations, as warlock i will Cho'Gall + DOOM!
Unfortunately, won't work. You can't lethal yourself with Cho'Gall's effect.

This. I see many interesting combos with the card. I think before ppl write it off as worthless, they explore what you can do. A 7 mana 4 hp cost 7 dmg flamestrike on turn 7 is pretty devastating.
wasn't he supposed to be fat?
It looks like he spend all te time in a gym to get this good shape :)
His model in WoW is more like this, but the one in heroes of the storm, he is very fat
He's like that in WoW. I think the Hots version of him is a younger, less corrupted version of Cho'Gall.
