The moment you realize not everyone is going to play standard mode
The moment you realize Faceless Shambler only copies the stats
I knew that but I refuse to accept it.
R.I.P Unstable Portal
There is not much to say that has not already been said, it is way two slow. You don't typically win the game by just putting down vanilla big stated cards, you want cards with "unfair" effects.
yeah, a counter to c'thun!
one turn too late :(((
Avianna, Innervate, this, faceless manipulator... Just one possibility!
People are so concerned about the 30/30 and ignoring the 9/9 with soft taunt...
A natural mistake.
Can't wait to see it in golden!
Your post created a nice qusetion in my head.
1 9/9 is golden, another isn't. Which Ancient One will appear?
That is for RNG-esus to decide, obviously ;-)
I have thought a bit, and came to a conclusion that 1st played 9/9 will decide, because it will trigger 1st (and 2nd played 9/9 won't even trigger, as it will be destroyed)
What are the chances you get two of these in arena?
true, I suppose it's on par with a war golem.
The only thing this card has going for it is that it's at the end of turn, which means that the 30/30 won't have summoning sickness. I also like how you don't need two of these in your deck/collection (it's an epic after all) so you just run faceless for the second, which is four mana less. I don't see this ever working... consistently... outside of Druid though. Keep in mind that conceal will give the Blood minions stealth, so you can use it on the first to guarantee it sticks, but the Ancient One won't get stealth after the merge so using conceal on two of them does nothing, and that's when Polymorph/Hex/SW:D/Hunter's Mark/Keeper of Ulduman/Mulch/Assassinate/Siphon Soul/Execute(Shield Slam for 30 not unheard of either) happens. See, no need to bring up BGH since his fate is unknown.
Let's just look how can all classes deal with 30/30 if you manage to get it on board (which is very unlikely, I believe)
All classes: Big Game Hunter - Ye, tell me that it is gonna be nerfed, c'mon. Were there any hints from blizz that it's waitnig nerf? NO. So, you should still count it as it is now. And if there will be many decks with these guys, believe me, there will be 2 "beasts in my sight" in all decks.
Druid: hm, the only class with no wide-used direct removals. Probably Mulch and Naturalize, but anyway, they can have BGH
Hunter: Freezing Trap (makes it garbage in hand), Hunter's Mark + any damage, maybe even Deadly Shot
Mage: Polymorph, ideal target. (rarely: Vaporize)
Paladin: Equality, Aldor Peacekeeper (rarely Humility), in Wild - Coghammer will stop it from 2 attacks
Priest: do I really need to write all Priest answers to that?
Rogue: Sap, Assassinate
Shaman: Hex, Feral Spirit for temproray stopping 30/30 to hit your face while searching for hex, also that taunt totem
Warlock: Siphon Soul, maybe Corruption if you have something to hide your face
Warrior: Execute, Shield Slam (ye, they sometimes have 30+ armor), lucky Brawl
In conclusion: it's a lot easier to get rid of 30/30 than to create it.
On the first day of the tournament Ben Brode said big game hunter is getting nerfed. Get your facts straight
