Clarifications
- If your board is full, Varian puts drawn minions into your hand. If Chromaggus is on board, you'd get a copy of the minion. (Source)
- Minions will be played onto the board if your hand is full. (Source)
- Like all minions summoned to the board, minions brought on by Varian don't activate their battlecries. (Source)
Tested it after I got it from a pack on a Non-Ranked match. Now it is time to rank me up.
The dream is real boys
Did you play brawl next turn? kappa.
Just got 1x Ragnaros the Firelord and 2 x Sludge Belcher from using this card. Instant Ragequit. Warriors gonna dominate this meta!
So much more badass than his son, from what we've seen so far the best card out of TGT. What the fuck were Blizzard smoking and where can I get some?
I made that comment before the Secret Pally deck surfaced
Craft him, you'll get a full dust refund if they nerf him. He's just a fantastic card
Basically it means you'll get all 1600 Dust back if they nerf him
actually if they nerf him, it will be some about week or longer period, when you can dust him for 1600 dust instead of 400. It happened with Leeroy Jenkins nerf in the past
The expected result is to draw a combination of weapons, spells, and average minions. Against CW mirror match, it leads to fatigue faster. Drawing spells and weapons is good because then you won't over extend into brawl.
The chance of it drawing one or more good minions when there are 12 cards left in your deck is only about 20%, other times you can expect it to drop BGH, cruel task or acolyte which is bad.
I duno, I've laddered to legend with CW and something just feels off about playing this card as of yet.
Varian Balanced.
Varian Win
More like Fairian Win. XD
Okay, I got this from a pack and I'm so happy I didn't have to craft it... now if I only had Grommash and Alextraza, I could actually play control warrior.
:/ i know what you mean. I got this from a pack and i'd love to play control warrior, to bad all the important cards in the deck are legendaries
Will the enemy be able to see the cards drawn that go into the player's hand instead?
I don't believe that's how it works. It's probably more like the gnome that draws a card - if it's a spell it goes to hand without revealing, but if it's a minion it flips and rather than being turned into a chicken, just goes into play.
The tweet that says 'Minions will be played onto the board if your hand is full'
Does that mean if your hand is NOT FULL, that the minion will not be played?
Ok, need to do some testing though, cause those clarifications don't make perfect sense
I craft Varian and he definitely summons minions on the board, even if your hand isn't full, as expected. Silly tweet.
