Spymistress and Master of Disguise (or maybe she is actually a male tauren disguised, who knows lol)
These are blood elves not night elves
Spymistress is a night elf unless her hair is dyed, blood elves dont naturally have green hair but night elves do
She has blue eyes, though. Night Elves don't have blue eyes. Her ears are also angled wrong for a Night Elf.
Her skin tone is a Night Elf skin tone, though. So... yeah I dunno. I think she's supposed to be a Night Elf, but it's also the Outland expansion which is pretty blood elf-themed.
Oh my bad guys, yeah they look like blood elfs idk why i thought night elfs.
Lab Recruiter Shifty Sophomore Elven Minstrel Shadow Sculptor SI:7 Assassin are the 4. I was surprised how few there were though. Good catch
Nerf incomming to Rogue next expansion :)
Not really. The only thing you had some control over was whether you got a combination of Nagrand Slam and Survival of the Fittest, or instead 4 x Libram of Hope, based if on if you had played Incanter's Flow before Deck of Lunacy, and depending on how many copies of Flamestrike's or Mask of C'Thun's were still in your deck.
I don't know if you remember what it was like playing that deck, but you often had completely dead draws of cards like Commencement or Guardian Animals. It was a highroll deck, however, on average the high-end rolls made up for the rolls that resulted in spells that had little benefit. But it turns out that mana cheating, as a whole, is very powerful.
And if you look at the standard 8 and 9 mana cost minions, they are pretty powerful as a whole. Sure, you may low roll with cards like High Exarch Yrel, but as an average you will have an advantage and it probably turns out that playing Coilfang Warlord for 6 mana is pretty strong. Edit High Exarch Yrel probably wouldn't even be a low roll, since based on the description of the rogue card you wouldn't end up with any neutral minions
Again, I don't think it will be strong, especially in the current meta where you are often dead by turn 7. But I am not willing to completely dismiss it until we get a chance to experiment with it. Perhaps we may end up with cards like Witchwood Piper or Call to Adventure that may make finding this card more reliable, and it turns out that the tempo gain is hard for mid-range or control decks to manage? We just don't know yet.
i am disappointed. I play hell a lot of rogue and shaman, because I love to play burst dmg, otk and combo decks and when I saw the new hero cards I was like "man! That looks like KOTFT! Best meta ever! Most fun ever! NICE!" But this card? it does not fit any of the revealed cards nor it fits any current archetype in standard, like death rattle, shuffle or SI:7/quest. I know for wild it could be nice and deck of lunacy was absolutely bonkers (it's kinda similar), but I could have been a way better rogue legendary.
How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man?
This feels like Rogue’s version of Renounce Darkness. Definitely a meme. Replace your hand is one thing, but your deck? Why would you want to transform minions in your deck which are likely the minions that give synergy with cards from other classes? There’s very few spell synergies with “cards from other class” so I don’t see how this fits anywhere. Maybe you pull out Tess with Taelan Fordring first? And then hope your new minions don’t suck? I love playing meme decks, but I like meme decks that at least have a stupid but fun game plan, like bad otks or deathrattle crap. This just feels like Crit fishing to win by getting lucky minions, which doesn’t feel like a fun game plan. Mad when you lose due to being unlucky, and opponent is mad when you win cuz you got lucky, and when you get lucky I doubt it will really feel as satisfying as a lucky draw into a card you already have in your deck
It changes cards in your hand, so pulling Tess first wouldn't matter.
The point is really just to have discounted minions. And the cheaper you get, the more powerful they are. Combine that with the huge amounts of card draw Rogue has that are spell-based, and it's honestly not that weak.
I don't know what the deck looks like before, though. Maybe stealth rogue or something? I'm trying to think of something that runs a lot of minions that doesn't care if they all turn into discounted class minions.
I really feel like this should be an Epic. Since its just random minions and not like Legendaries or minions of the same rarity, you could get some garbage at a higher rate.
There's actually... very, very few class minions (and most of them are pretty expensive) that aren't strong with a 2 mana discount. There's Antonidas, Ysiel, Willow, Leoroxx, Grey Sage Parrot, Sheldras, Clumsy Courier, Cowardly Grunt... a couple of others.
But *most* minions are either great or pretty overstated, and even these are just... fair. Not duds, just fair. (And with this sort of effect you'll want *lots* of card draw to maximize your odds.)
First I was like - Hey, finally a card for my wild tess rogue... Then I read the card more carefully...
We need good reasons (in form of spells) to play minions from other classes for this card to see play.
Wasted legendary for fancy combos that very few people will use. I am so disappointed. At least the hero card seems good. Do you remember Lilian Voss? Good, people were also happy about her. We had indeed a meta where nobody was playing it. She is better than Lilian but she is still garbage.
An interesting arena card, particularly given the current Arena meta with decks made up of mostly crap neutrals
Meme card for fun decks.... it reminds me of Lilian Voss ...
It is similar but it is way better than Lily. Random class minions that cost 2 less are quite good cards on average. Random spells are crap
wow..how sad...THEY KEEP pushing and giving support to this dumb archtype.........
but guess what....RNG IS NOT FUN! it sucks...........
rng is a coin flip and it almost always is against you.
You can get tons of weak lame cards and the effect was not worth it.
Meme decks are NOT competitive...
and they WILL NEVER BE.
everyone is so eager to win..at all costs....that they will never ever rely on LUCK/RNG.
just look at the most dominant decks......almost zero have RNG on it.
rng is ok, but THIs kind of RNG is stupid..........
GOOD rng...DISCOVER EFFECTS.
Bad rng..THIS EFFECT.
just use it against your friends to have a good laught, never in ladder.
