Crikey! Never been downvoted so much.
I wonder if these lovely downvoters were salty at the thought of going up against the deck? I will admit, it didn't take much to think up the deck (made so much sense), however, at the time, I hadn't seen anything similar on Hearthpwn. Hope it did help folks that struggle with the deck-building side of Hearthstone secure their pack.
Academic Espionage looks great here
This needs to be a new 3rd game-mode. With either monthly or quarterly rotations between 4 different sets in the game. It's a really fun experience with deck building restrictions and seeing cards that see less play shine (EMP operative).
finally a good brawl
How is it a good brawl? 99% of people dont have older cards
I would also like to see some mode where we can have different sets each seasons, but looking on this brawl, I just don't want to participate for more than getting free pack. Maybe the main problem is that it is a brawl. What I wonder is will this be more interesting if it is a bit more competitive and not like a brawl, but like ranked.
Please, make a mode with monthly set-rotation as third option (standard, wild, this). Would be awesome.
I also think a third option other than the standard and wild of now would be really great. Like a format of different years like year of Mammoth or others etc. I am sure some older players would like to play as previous standards and return to game.
But they'll probably just force people to buy new packs and never return the old metas as an option.
And allow us to buy packs from each one of these expansions during that window, even if they rotated out. That will give players trying to build up their collection something to look forward to each month.
You can buy packs from all the old expansions on Blizzard.net already, and they currently have a special available offering 10 packs from each of four cycled expansions for $24.99 US. They just don't offer them on the mobile app unfortunately.
Yes... I'm aware of being able to buy them for money at a really bad price (without any discounts or ability to use Amazon coins) but that's not at all what I was talking about. The post was about being able to buy them via gold in in-game store, same way as with current expansions.
witchwood? i can smell odd even cancer
Wow. This brawl really sucks for players with a very limited card pool. You can't even use the Basic set.
I don't even have that many cards from the 2 Standard expansions. I feel this is a push towards the Wild Bundle right?
I just won with a priest using witchwood / boomsday only.
That'd make the game far less accessible for new players that don't wish to spend a lot of money. Knowing some cards you get will never rotate out is a little reassuring.
If something is played too much or is imbalanced, it's moved to the Hall of Fame, that's what they declared it to begin with.
It is very wrong. Actualy best cards in classic are banned or nerfed so new player get bunch of crap instead of good cards. New players can get cards from new sets and it will be same as they get classic set. And did you just said that players who play 2 years are new?
I dare you to find where I said players playing for 2 years are new. Although, if you're totally F2P (like me), 2 years are nothing. I'm still missing a few basic cards even though I've been playing since the closed beta.
Lets review a few cards, shall we?
Argent Squire and SI:7 Agent, played in Odd Rogue. Flametongue Totem, Knife Juggler and Al'Akir, the Windlord in even Shaman. Alexstrasza and Ysera that always have at least a couple of viable decks running either, Stormwind Champion and lately even Frostwolf Warlord in Odd Paladin, Ironbeak Owl in every deck that wants a cheap silence...
No, you must be right, no deck would suffer from rotating the basic set.
What an awesome brawl! I mean, this one is just "play mechs and win" but the idea is awesome, make this it's own mode!
My first game,I played against a mech Paladin with an auto-complete priest and won, so "play mechs and win" isn't entirely true.
But yeah, some of the GvG ones are totally OP with the new Boomsday magnetic ones.
Here's an easy instant win deck:
