Days of the Frozen Throne Has Begun - Earn 600 Gold, Free Happy Ghoul, Death Knight Tavern Brawl
The recently announced "Days of the Frozen Throne" event is now live in the Americas with the release of the new Tavern Brawl.
- There are two quests available that reward you with 300 gold each.
- Logging in during the event gives you one golden Happy Ghoul.
- You can purchase 30 Knights of the Frozen Throne packs for $19.99 USD through the Bundle Up Bundle.
- This is double the packs you'd get normally for that price.
- The event lasts until September 23.
The Tavern Brawl - Duel of the Death Knights
The DKs have all come out to celebrate Days of the Frozen Throne. Choose a class and you'll get a random deck and start out as a Death Knight.
- This is a brand new brawl!
- You'll pick your class and be given a premade deck containing loads of Frozen Throne cards.
- Your hero starts off as the Death Knight of your chosen class.
- Winning the brawl gets you a Classic Pack! What a missed opportunity.
Don't forget who your Death Knights are!
FYI, the second quest that spawns after you finish the first 300g requires you to brawl. That's what @FireBurn is referring to
And on that note, when has brawl ever been fun anyway? There's only been 1 or 2 worth playing more than for the pack
Last week's brawl was pretty decent: I tried a bunch of decks and played several matches with Burgle Rogue. A lot of people played Mage there too, but those decks could be countered without too much trouble.
you get 300g for winning 5 brawls and no one is sure if that quest will be around by the time next week's brawl rolls around soOOoo
I didn't realise this, so thanks for that. By the way, not to complain or anything, but could someone add this note to the main article so that others will know as they read the article. It's just a suggestion that's all.
After playing a while, here is how i picture the meta:
Tier 1: Godly
Mage: Stupidly powerful hero power which summons endless dudes and doesn't let your opponent play 1 health things, and has it's battlecry activated on top of that
Warlock: Very efficient removal and heal heropower
Tier 2: Viable
Hunter: Very strong heropower if survives till the lategame but OH BOY does mage feed on hunters
Priest: The pings are surprisingly useful
Tier 3: Hard mode
Druid: Heropower is strictly worse that that of warlock
Warrior: I'm surprised how useful the heropower is in this brawl. Is not useful enough though
Tier 4: Unplayable
Rouge: The extra card never helps against the endless pings and water elementals
Shaman: Warlock and Priest woun't let you keep a single minion to evolve, and if they do, the payback is minimal
Paladin: Why get a 2 mana 2/2, when you can get a 2 mana 3/6 that heals, freezes, deals 1 damage, and doesnt let your opponents play 1 health minions? I haven't seen a single paladin while playing the brawl
was playing against a shaman and got 4 2/2 :O
I feel that is because you might have queued against a new player who doesnt know how the card works. Otherwise, you got very, very lucky.
I'm shivering, am I afraid?
Zombeasts are pretty cool in this brawl. Slow but cool.
Sigh, 30 packs 1 legendary (50/50 chance Thrall or Rogue minion... Of course got the second), 2 golden epics, 4 regular epics (already had 2), 2 golden rare, 3 golden common. I mean, average is still 100 per pack but it kind of sucks, was hoping to get both legendary missing
The average is only 20, my dude. Also expecting to get 2 legendarys from 30 packs is crazy, besides you got a really good pull.
Thanks! Saved me a post
Another week and another horrible brawl. Except this time they tie an event to it and make you have to play this garbage brawl more times than any human should have to subject themselves to.
Salvation lies within.
If you want 5 wins, just play Warrior kappa
Warlock and Mage both laugh at that idea. Warrior is an easy slow roll.
I think Ican apply at Blizzard for play tester. They seem to have nobody for the job. Stupidest brawl ever. Now everyone has to go through that ordeal...
This brawl proves just how stupidly over-powered the Mage DK is.
He means the dragon you get for free as the extra legendary added to it. I think you can get duplicates I'm not 100% sure tho
Just curious - if I only had one empty slot in my quest log and therefore only got one 300g quest, will I get another 300g one after I finish this one or tomorrow or not at all? (Thanks for help!)
