P4dge posted a message on Devolving missles bugged?Posted in: Card DiscussionI totally agree, I was not bothered to make a post about it because you have a lot nerds coming around claiming to be RNG. But yes my missiles always hits the same target.
'always hits the same target'. No they don't. At worst you're lying to try to make your point and at best you're being lazy and exaggerating. Maybe the reason you're clearly so frustrated with people calling bs on things you say is because you spout bs. If you're argument is valid you don't need to exaggerate, lie or make hyperbolic claims to back it up. If they literally always hit the same target, from a decent sample size then just upload the replays on here and the evidence speaks for itself. You won't need to make snide insults at anyone who won't believe you because you've... You know... Actually bothered to provide some evidence?
It might be weighted to favour hitting the target it initially hit on the follow up missiles, I wouldn't absolutely dismiss that. It might not. If people bothered evidencing these things then we might be able to actually discuss it.
But you lot never do. Just a lot of confirmation bias, counting the misses and not the hits. It's very clear that you don't actually want to know, you just want some validation from online strangers that you're right to feel the way you do. Get some evidence together and let's all take a look together.
Some things in life must be a real struggle if this is how you rationalise things, it's a way to be very gullible and believe a lot of nonsense.
Funnt though how many cards Blizzard supposedly rigs to be unfair when that actually makes zero sense. Imprisoned Felmaw is just one example off the top of my head that you lot will insist is 'rigged' to always hit face. Along with also rigging your games to make you play against a deck that counters yours, rigging your decks so you draw badly, rigging your opponents deck so they draw well and the list goes on and on.
They are doing a really poor job of hiding all this rigged stuff in their game because you lot are right on their case about it and yet amazingly haven't been pulled up for it because if it's all true, it's pretty scandalous. Maybe gaming publications and journalists are all paid off by Blizzard so they don't report on it! Maybe Blizzard controls the elections as well?! Will only let people into office that will help them in pulling the wool over the eyes of the gaming community.

JoBo posted a message on Aggro Totem Shaman - Need help pleasePosted in: General Deck BuildingI've always seen Cryostasis in even lists but was never sure what its there for how do you use it?
also does anyone know the interaction between Zentimo and Totemic Reflection? (does it copy the totems and give them buffs or does it buff and then copy?) (if its the first does that mean that mean you can generate a 7 minion board if you have 3 totems on turn 6 and then wack em with the zentimo reflection?)
also here's my list that i cooked up and had success with yesterday:

Crawver posted a message on New Expansions in dungeon run style adventure modePosted in: General DiscussionQuote from warcraftofworld >>luke blad i canna understard a ward your sayin
At this point I have to ask if this is a satire account. Blad hasn't been in common use since the mid to late 2000s, and I swear with every post you make your spelling and syntax gets more and more bizarre. And I think this has to be the peak, when you're trying to criticise someone else for in-coherency. If it is satire, then bravo I guess, though I would have thought the joke would be wearing thin by this point.

I mean, pretty sure Twilight Guardian is still core to any dragon centric raza priest, its still a good card

I mean, I play wild ladder. And to me, neither Priest nor Mage need nerfs.
With the nerf to the mage quest, quest mage gets rolled by aggro and reno mage has serious issues completing the quest, so those decks have been balanced.
Secret mage is an evergreen wild deck that has enough tempo to beat out many of the other aggro decks, but I consistently destroy it with Cubelock, and I feel like a lot of its power comes from rolling the meme/unoptimized decks that wild is full of. Secret mage is strong, but not exactly a huge offender. If it got nerfed I wouldn't be sad, but it really doesn't need it.
For priest, I assume you're referring to Raza priest. Raza priest is T1 and is very strong. However, it isn't particularly oppressive, and it's also a unique deck in the wild meta. Raza priest is the only removal based control deck (excepting Odd Warrior) in the meta. Its healthy for the meta for there to be a removal based control deck.
Cubelock is another strong control deck (depending on how it is teched) but Cubelock is a minion based control deck, which plays fundamentally differently from removal based control. Most of the other decks in the meta are variations of aggro, and Raza priest provides some variety.
Rez priest is trash since the barnes nerf, so no problems there.
Anyway, wild is wild. Part of the fun comes from playing the powerful stuff we remember from past expansions. The meta is well balanced at this moment, no nerfs are needed.
1
Well cubelock is pretty meta, but right now it is the best deck in the meta, and should get you to legend fastest.
The sheer amount of aggro that has shown up recently has pushed down the deck with the highest power level (quest mage), so this is the time to pull out the control.
As it stands, cubelock is the best control deck. And in this meta, leave those doomguards at home, you don't need them against odd DH or secret mage. Run Unstable Felbolt instead.
I should note that my experience is of the meta in NA. I can't speak to any of the other regions.

Yes he made a mistake, I'm sure you understood what card he was talking about.
In response to the OP:
Yes the power level of wild is extremely high. I personally enjoy wild because I like to play both cubelock (which you mentioned) and even shaman (which you did not). If you don't enjoy playing any of the 'meta decks' and aren't having fun losing with off meta decks, perhaps try to find some middle ground. However, it is also possible that you would enjoy one or several of these meta decks if you tried playing them. As I said, cubelock and even shaman are right up my alley, but I never have any fun playing secret mage.
My advice is to find a good deck to play that you enjoy. Libram paladin simply doesn't cut it. The pure power level difference between libram paladin and say quest mage is immense, and you simply won't win many games playing a bad deck against good ones.

Now I don't really want to get into a fight about this, but you certainly could be a little nicer, and you haven't been fully intellectually honest either.
You using Ad Hominem by accusing the OP (and those who agree with them) of being entitled. While this does not discredit your belief that the system is working as intended, it is still a logical fallacy.
I feel a little hypocritical here (I'm accusing you of attacking people unjustly, which is Ad Hom on my part), but I do believe that I am justified in pointing this out. It is not my intent to change your belief, but to draw attention to the fallacious arguments that are currently in play.
2
To be honest it really depends what you want. I like winning, but I don't care too much about ladder. As long as I am playing a deck that I enjoy with a positive winrate, I am happy.
I am a f2p player, started playing in Gadgetzan, but took a year and a half off at the end of boomsday. This is my second expansion back.
Because I currently have a pretty small standard collection, I turned to wild. There were several wild decks that were very cheap for me (secret mage, even shaman, cubelock). Secret mage just because it only has one legendary (which I have already), even shaman because it is also very cheap and I already had Genn, and Cubelock because I had played the standard version in Kobolds so there weren't very many cards to craft to play the wild list.
I played Cubelock and even shaman to legend (first time yay!) without spending more than like 5k dust total for both of those decks.
I don't have Vessina or The Storm Bringer, and even shaman is viable without them. Just add extra 4 mana 7/7s or the 4 mana 5/7 dragon instead. Tempostorm has the deck at 7.8k dust, and without these two legendaries it will only cost you 4.2k dust, which should be manageable. The bulk of that comes from Genn Greymane two Splitting Axe and two Sea Giant, which are 3.2k dust. Genn is probably one of the safest crafts you could ever have, and although I'm pretty sure even shaman is the only deck packing Sea Giant right now it has in the past had a place in zoo, and I wouldn't be surprised if it pops up in other decks over the years. Splitting Axe is key in standard totem shaman (also a good, cheap deck) so it's a pretty safe craft.
Anyway, my advice to you is to craft either even shaman or secret mage and play wild. I personally dislike secret mage, and really enjoy even shaman, so the choice was obvious there.
These decks are competitive, and you should be able to get better at the game while having a positive winrate and climbing through the wild ladder.
Also as a bonus low ranked wild is typically filled with meme decks and people completing quests, so it shouldn't be too hard for a newcomer such as yourself (if you got a free deck you can't have had your account for long, I'm assuming you haven't played in the past)
Spell druid is also really cheap in standard, so you could try that too.

What I'm assuming has happened is you pressed the 'craft' button, and all of the uncraftable cards disappeared.
This means all the basic cards, including backstab.

Although the praise is appreciated, I am not the Stanley Kubrick of satire, nor a Tarantino of meta analysis. My deepest loyalties lie with Hobbes, although it unquestionable to me that none the less supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses.
These can appear to be contradictory notions; Hobbes argued it is better to accept the flaws of the system (in this case, Hearthstone), than to live without it at all and risk tasting a solitary, poor, nasty brutish and short life. However, I also fully stand by the idea that the power to design the game derives from none other than the player base, and as such it is the players who have ultimate control. These two ideas can be reconciled with the recognition that the players can exercise their control their control without rioting against blizzard; rather, they must work with it.
With distaste I look upon the Lockean idealists who flee to Legends of Runeterra, for they shall find disappointment, and, unable to quell their pride, shall find themselves without a game at all, at which point Hobbes' prophecy shall be complete.
I deal not in satire, or sarcasm, although I do enjoy wit. I deal in philosophy, I live by Aristotle, and I will not exaggerate a virtuous act to the point where it becomes full of vice.

As this title suggests, everything I'm about to discuss is based upon both my perception about how the game 'should' be played, as well as how I want to play it.
Lets dive right in
I consider myself a 'shaman main.' Shaman is certainly the class I like the most, and the class I always want to do well in the meta. However, I certainly do not exclusively play shaman, and there are several other classes I enjoy and have played a lot of.
I love theorycrafting, and, as someone who loves shaman, always try to make shaman decks work in the new meta. This latest reveal season has been very disappointing to me in this respect. Although I love the power levels of Marshspawn and Serpentshrine Portal, it seems clear that shaman is in for some bad times. As Trump said, 'sad shaman days.'
This got me thinking. I want shaman to be good, but there are also specific shaman archetypes I want to play. I want to be playing midrange shaman.
I define a 'midrange deck' as a deck that basically follows these basic principles: it is willing to give up tempo on turns 1 and 2, it then uses strong tempo swings on turns 3, 4, and perhaps even 5, then seeks to win the game with proactive cards played on turns 5, 6, 7 and 8. The goal is to win on turns 8, 9, or 10.
To create a strong midrange deck, these gaps must be filled. Although Serpentshrine Portal fits perfectly the requirement of a turn 3 tempo swing, shaman is lacking ANY strong 'game winning' cards that define the midrange archetype. This expansion, demon hunter has been given most of these. Priestess of Fury (besides being absolutely broken) is a perfect midrange card. It comes down on turn 7 and will win the game if it sticks. Coilfang Warlord is another great midrange tool, as is Imprisoned Antaen.
Because of the play style I want, I am being pushed to classes other than my beloved shaman. If a unicorn shaman exists, I will most certainly play it, no matter the type of deck. But this expansion I predict I will be playing a lot of demon hunter (and maybe ramp druid).
However, as I said, Serpentshrine Portal is a great place to start for shaman. In the following expansions, I want to see more cards for shaman in the line of jades, Ragnaros, or even Thunder Bluff Valiant.
Evolve shaman used to be another true midrange deck, trying to win with a turn 6 Doppelgangster and Evolve. This archetype received two cards (admittedly, relatively weak ones), so maybe ever the next couple of expansions evolve shaman will return.
Mostly I'm just disappointed that it looks like shaman isn't going to work out this expansion
