Has it been clarified by Blizzard or some other reputable source how this card will be affected by a coin?

Sigh, I've always disliked how Paladin lacks a consistent draw card, and most of the neutral options only cycle cards. I actually did used to run a very slow Paladin that ran Acolytes. The plan was to damage it with Pyromancers which had synergy with Equality, and also have the Acolyte swing into minions that I weakened with Aldor. Unfortunately, the meta isn't that slow anymore. I do wonder if that could make a comeback with dragons, but I doubt it. :/

I'm assuming Guardian would be too slow? Yeah, my thoughts exactly. How do you think I feel, being a Rogue player and seeing Blizzard release so many five cost cards that would work for it? ;^; On the subject of Harrison, would an Ooze be a good replacement for Juggler? I know Juggler with Muster is a good combo, but being able to destroy weapons is really nice. One thing I like about the Ooze over Harrison is that I can break a Hunter's weapon early without having to wait until turn five. It also has the bonus of accomplishing the same thing as the Juggler, in that you can play a minion with three attack to contest the Priest's Cleric.

I find I have the same problem fitting in Argus as I did with the Healbot. Both the four and five mana slots are full enough as is, and it's really hard to see which of them, if any that you can afford to drop. The lack of BGH targets is the big reason I want to swap Alex for Ysera.

I see. I guess if I want to play a slower Dragon deck Paladin may not be the right class. Either that, or completely rework the deck to compensate. :/

If I were to replace Alexstrasza with Ysera and wanted more healing to compensate, what would be the card to replace with an Antique Healbot? I assume it should be one of the other five cost cards, but they're all so important to the deck that I'm not sure. Do you think Tuskarr Jouster or Guardian of Kings would work better with their superior stats?

Do you think there's any wiggle room to be able to play both Alexstrasza and Ysera without dropping any of the other late game cards already in here? Or would that make the deck too slow?

Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (15) Ability (15)

As much as I like my deck, I'm sure there are plenty of improvements that can be made. While I have my own ideas for improvement, I thought I might as well ask for some help here as well.

Zombie Chow Very good turn one play, helps control the board against aggro, and incredible value. I really don't think I can replace this one. Definitely one of the more important ones in the deck.

Frostbolt Early removal with the bonus of freeze. Again, another irreplaceable card.

Unstable Portal This is a very fun card to play. This card alone has carried me through some games. I don't think anyone would argue the high potential of this card. That said, it is very inconsistent. This is one of the cards that I think may be worth replacing. But I'm not sure if one or both should be.

Mad Scientist An early minion that plays my Secrets for free? Yes please! I have two problems with this card though. If I have my Secrets in my hand, or I've played them all, this becomes a very bad card. Not only that, I've had Mad Scientist pull out one of my Duplicates early on, before I was able play something that was worth duplicating. Fortunately, I no longer use Mana Wyrm, so that mitigates this problem. I thought about replacing one the Scientists with a Kirin Tor Mage.

Arcane Intellect What deck doesn't need card draw? I used to use two Acolyte of Pain and two Unstable Ghouls, and they performed quite well. But they did take up four slots in my deck, so I thought I'd try out Arcane Intellect to give myself more room. That said, I do miss Unstable Ghoul's AoE sometimes.

Counterspell Often times my opponents can play around this card, which is why I only use a single copy now. That said, it has saved me on multiple occasions, and it combos very with Loatheb.

Duplicate At first, I really didn't like this card because Mad Scientist would pull this card out too early, resulting in me getting Zombie Chows or Mana Wyrms. But now I've learned to play around this card better, and am really liking the results. I suppose one of these could be replaced with a Mirror Entity.

Lil' Exorcist I think this is a really good card in the meta. It's really fun to play a 4/5 Taunt for three mana against Hunter and Zoo. The reason I don't run two of these is simply because I didn't have room for a second when I was adding it. I might be able to make some room now, I can just remove it altogether if I stop seeing so much early game Deathrattle.

Fireball Same with Frostbolt; really great removal and is also good for burst damage. Pretty much need two of these.

Polymorph I see a lot of people running only one of these, I can understand why. It's not often that Polymorph is better removal than a Fireball. Only against pesky Deathrattles and really huge minions would you use this against. Other times it just feels like dead weight in the hand. But I think there are just too many of the pesky Deathrattles and huge minions to be running only one of these. When I tried only using one, I always felt that I had to use it very sparingly; waiting for cards like Tirion Fordring or a Giant. But that meant using my minions to trade (usually inefficiently), which I don't even have many of. I guess replacing one with some form of Silence is an option, like Ironbeak Owl, or a Big Game Hunter.

Water Elemental This card is so good! I have actually kept a Warrior frozen from turn three, all the way to the end. Hit me with your axe now, Garrosh! Not replacing these cards. I could add Snowchugger, but I already have enough two cost cards at the moment.

Antique Healbot So much healing! Now I don't need to use two Earthen Ring Farseer, and they gave me more options. Speaking of options, having this card lets me use Alexstraza more offensively without always thinking, "I might need to use this as healing later."

Loatheb A lot of people really like this card, and it's easy to see why. Its ability alone can win a game, but it's stats aren't terrible either. More often than not, I've had opponents use up very overpriced removal, or trade two of their weaker minions into this one card. It's especially hilarious to see them use up all their mana on a single spell, only to have it stopped by Counterspell.

Sludge Belcher It's a sticky minion with Taunt, and a good stat total. What's not to like about it? I also think this card is good bait for removal and Silence, which helps my other late game cards. I have considered replacing one of these to make room for other cards.

Sylvanas Windrunner Another card that I think irreplaceable. If you have it, you should probably use it. The ability to take your opponent's minion is scary and often causes them to trade their entire board into it just to prevent the ability from doing anything.

The Black Knight Oh hi, Ancient of War! Oh, you thought it would be a good idea to use Sunfury Protector or Defender of Argus on your Giants? Too bad! That said, because I use two Polymorph, this may not be necessary. Definitely up for replacement. Perhaps Cairne Bloodhoof

Flamestrike Oh look, it's the card that everyone is afraid of when playing against Mage! Because I'm playing a slower deck, I think I can play two of these instead of just one. It does suck when I get it in my opening hand, but that can be said about every expensive card.

Ragnaros the Firelord A huge threat that always makes a big boom. Yes, it's not the most consistent of cards, but it's still really powerful, and if your opponent can't deal with it immediately, they're pretty much done. I have considered replacing this with another late game card, like Ysera, since Big Game Hunter can't hit that.

Alexstrasza Need to heal after being pummeled by aggro? Need to cut your opponent's life in half because you were controlling the board the whole game? Well this is the perfect card! This is a card that can start a huge comeback and is really hard to find a card that can fill its role. Pyroblast can be used in a similar offensive way, but lacks the option of healing and putting a huge 8/8 body on the board.

So there's my card analysis. I'll get around to listing other cards I have that can be used as replacements later if people actually post in here.

Went and bought the 60 pack bundle, so in total opened 63.

Got 12 Epics, of varying qualities, and 3 Legendaries; none of which I want. (GazloweBlingtron 3000, and Flame Leviathan)

Overall, really disappointed. Also tried to buy an Arena, but never actually got it. Still got charged for it, so that's nice...

    *Sigh*
