igniteice posted a message on Reasons Purify is actually one of the most underrated cardsPosted in: Card DiscussionHere are a few reasons you may want to include a Purify in your deck, or why Purify is useful as a card in general:
- Your enemy can get it from Nefarian.
- If you're playing against a Rogue, they can get it from Undercity Huckster, Swashburglar, or Burgle. Even if they play a follow-up Ethereal Peddler, they still have to silence one of their own minions to get the card draw for 0.
- Your enemy Priest can get it from Thoughtsteal, Mind Vision, or Shifting Shade
- You can play Shadowfiend and Purify it to draw a card and reduce its costs by 0.
- You can play Priest of the Feast and Purify it to draw a card and heal yourself for 3, but no more (you wouldn't want to overheal yourself like some cheap Warrior, would you?)
- Overdrawing with too many Northshire Clerics on the board? Purify it to stop from overdrawing, and draw a card while you're at it.
- Accidentally gained +1 Attack and Taunt on your Wyrmrest Agent? Purify it and dig for more dragons.
- Play Lorewalker Cho and Purify it to give your opponent a copy of Purify but prevent them from giving it back to you.
- Drop a Herald Volazj or Barnes and silence Herald Volazj or Barnes on the following turn because the 1/1 died to your opponent's Searing Totem, Silver Hand Recruit, Shapeshift, Fireblast, Dagger Mastery and you weren't running the inferior Silence because it doesn't draw a card.
- Your Priest enemy can get multiple Purify cards in many Tavern brawls that feature random decks.
- Thoughtsteal your Rogue opponent's Thistle Tea and draw into three copies of Purify. Now you can draw 3 more cards for only 6 more mana.
- If you're playing in the Wild format, your opponent can Loatheb to prevent you from playing Purify and making a huge mistake that could have cost you the game.
- Did your Vol'jin swap too much health from your opponent's minion? Go ahead and Purify it back to 2 where it should be.
- One time card interactions with Eydis Darkbane and Fjola Lightbane!
- Finally make use of Nat, the Darkfisher.
- Burn your opponents Counterspell.
- Give your Paladin opponent an additional card from Divine Favor because you don't even have any minions to play Purify on even if you wanted to.
- Hard counter to Corruption being cast on your Northshire Cleric. Not only does your Northshire Cleric live, but you get to draw a card, AND you don't have to worry about overdrawing from healing your minions too much.
User ntribution (great minds think alike)
- Getting a little ahead of yourself with Nexus-Champion Saraad? Don't put just any random spell in your hand. Purify the engine of temptation and put one of your own cards into your hand. (Thanks l4chsnacken)
- Want to feel the raw power of two Purifys at once? Play Djinni of Zephyrs first and maybe you'll understand why Priest is so overpowered, people are afraid to tournament with it. (Thanks BambeenOO)
- Playing Shifting Shade for those value stats and realize getting an extra card from your opponent's deck might burden you into having too many choices to make? Just Purify the deathrattleaway and tap into the power of your own deck! (Thanks Mihaylo_zg)

Pixywing posted a message on How do you people get so many legendaries?Posted in: General DiscussionYou get 40 gold a day by quests with rerolls this leads to an average of 47.7 gold per day.
The average player gets 3.63 wins per day thus generating 12.1 gold per day.
You get 1 pack per week from brawl which is a free 100 gold per week.
So just doing this for 1 year should get you 27027 gold or 270 packs which has a minimum of 6 Legendaries due to the pity rule and most likely 7 all without spending any money and only playing an average amount.
Keep in mind this doesn't even include all the dust you are getting from ranked every season.
(All I do is log on re-roll quests and then log out and then only play once I have three quests. This gets the most gold per time played.)

ProtPally posted a message on The combo people don't see comingPosted in: PaladinNat, the Darkfisher + Divine Favor
I run this in my Divine Shield Aggro. Nat is low cost so it fits in the deck and it has enough health to survive to make use of it's effect. No one sees this combo coming or if they do, they don't take it seriously enough until you're able to get real draw power out of it.

kcregina posted a message on You have already won 100 gold for the day?Posted in: General DiscussionAnd if you've played enough Hearthstone in one day to win 30 games then I believe the traditional response (and let me say this in the nicest possible way) is "Get a life!".

ElephantsGuideMe posted a message on For those of you who will be playing Standard...Posted in: General DiscussionI'm definitely keeping all my cards. It's not like I don't need dust, but they're always nice to have if I want to try a new, fun deck in Wild.

FortyDust posted a message on Druid Combo is alive and well ... in WarriorPosted in: General DiscussionGrotesque Dragonhawk + Charge = a two-card combo that deals 14 damage immediately. Sound familiar?
Gets even worse with additional enablers like Emperor Thaurissan, Inner Rage, etc.
I find it very strange that they went to all the trouble of nerfing one overplayed combo while re-introducing the exact same problem in the very same patch.

Your 'starter deck' is the complete basic card collection you have when you start the game and it's quite a big set of cards relative to the total amount of cards. At least in comparrison to other card games, where you start with nothing. So i disagree with the need of your mentioned starter decks. You will just have to make do with the cards you begin with and the random cards you get from packs and arena rewards.
tl;dr not really neccesary.

Sometimes Inner Rage is such a dead card, because it needs something to work with. And i didn't really know what else to take out, i'm trying around all sorts of things now. I love Azure drake too much to take it out.

I really enjoyed this deck, i'm playing around with some variations at the moment and it's working really well for me on the ladder. I subbed one inner rage for a cairne, because of all the priests.

I just like how Tirion Fordring comes into play. With the epic music and stuff and he is just a total game winner if he's not silenced. Second place is Al'Akir the Windlord for his entrance! Winds obey my command!

I look forward to seeing your progress and will try to give you my thoughts on it. Good luck.

Everyone enjoys the game in their own way, what do you care?
