posted a message on Pls. Blizzard make RENO JACKSON part of the basic/classic set!

I think Blizzrd needs to balance better the Meta and make room for the rest of the playing archetypes, for example, I'm a Priest fan, but not a Dragon (WTF that's not Priest) Priest fan. It is supposed that Priest is control, and the only decent control with Priest comes with......RENO?,,,,,Hell no.

There's variations of Spell Priest and Thief Priest, and two types of OTK priests if you have the right cards.  None use Reno and dragons have a minor role in these decks, if they're in at all.

Unless priests get some decent replaces for Entomb and non-dragon Discover cards, Spell and Thief will become dragon decks in the next rotation. Enjoy while you can.

Reno wasn't a thing for priests before; he's just been thrown in because of Kazakus and/or Raza the Chained, and now because of pirates, he's become a lifesaver. That's if you can make it to the sixth turn and have a way to clear board or weapon ASAP.

Now if there could be a replacement for Brann Bronzebeard in a Kazakus deck ...

posted a message on [Rotation 2017] List of cards lost by archetype and class

I don't think Dragon Priest is DOOMED. It loses early game cards and taunts and relies more on the late-game greedy cards. A Wrathion here, a Second-Rate Bruiser there, a Bloodmage Thalnos with Holy Smite combo for the Blackwing Corruptor, use the Netherspites to summon a few dragons to make a Drakanoid Operative or two click, and then parlay a Deathwing, Dragonlord that could follow up with Ysera, vanilla Deathwing or Nozdormu (annoyance of all mobile Hearthstone players, slow-animation card plays, Gadgetzan Auctioneer users and combo players like Miracle Rogues). Or just N'zoth to resummon the dragonlord.

I doubt the next adventure will give much help to dragon decks; it's more likely priests with dragons may have to wait for the bigger card release in the summer. So the question is can you put quality fill and stay alive to drop the heavyweights, if you have them.

Rez priest is doomed though with one of its cornerstone spells eliminated. Spell priest loses a lot from a good AOE in Excavated Evil. My thief priest deck loses Nefarian. Purify decks and OTK priests lose a few of the unicorn summoning cards. And all priests lose HUGE with the retirement of Entomb. That card to me is the biggest loss for priest.

posted a message on The next expansion

Judging by Hearthstone's trends over the years ... the next expansion should be an adventure in April. Past adventures have supplied 30-45 cards for $20-25 or 2800+ gold.

The next pack set will come in summer months.

Unless you're totally unwilling to fork over cash for the adventure, you got time to collect dust, missing cards from the classic, Gadgetzan and Old Gods sets and most importantly, see what the hell will be attractive to create in the summer when the next pack expansion comes without having to destroy your current cards.

And who knows, maybe Wild play will be "In" at the end of the year.

posted a message on Small-Time Buccaneer

    Hearthstone Trivia:

    - The glow in the Small-Time Buccaneer's lantern is from uranium. Which also explains why Patches looks like a goddamn mutant and that this card is cancer.

    - Originally the card was a legendary named Dr. One - Small-Time Proctologist, but Blizzard thought that was too honest with the incoming reaming and that something was needed to make pirates useful aside from a few decks carrying Southsea Squidface, Swashburglar and Bloodsail Raider. Honestly, aside from these cards did you ever see pirates being played the past six months before Gadgetzan?

    - Was actually used by a few Rank 20 Randuin Wrynn priests on ladder, as they hoped to draw cosmic RNG lolz by throwing down Medivh, the Guardian, STB and Patches the Pirate on a 9-mana turn in a Prince Malchezaar deck. Take that, Pirate users!

posted a message on Ysera golden, What should i do?

If doing dailies and the tavern brawl once a week minimum, you should score enough dust before the next adventure (March or April) to craft N'zoth, if not some extra for whatever must-have card in June-August when the next pack expansion drops. Be patient.

    If you play dragons, KEEP.

    If you play control, KEEP.

If you want a big-mana card that's on par with Ragnaros for causing game-changing mayhem, KEEP. And with Entomb cycling out of Priest decks in a few months, you'll have one of the biggest threats for a priest player to face -- a sticky 4-attack card immune to dragonfire potions.

If you want a gold card that spawns more gold cards, KEEP.

The only reason you would dust this card is if you are an aggro scumbag needing Patches player, or Brode decides to swing the axe at the classic deck and retire it to wild, and for some reason you don't like playing wild.

BTW, I just crafted N'zoth two months ago. I've probably used it a handful of times. I will say N'zoth is an effing nightmare in wild play decks.

posted a message on Hozen Healer

Came up useful in the Jan. 18 2017 tavern brawl (Spellbook Duel), keeping a stealthed Stranglethorn Tiger up at high health through a Dragonfire Potion blast for my OTK priest buffing it, and waiting for Inner Fire to turn up.

    Opponent conceded after the heal.

BTW, the interaction with this card and the Northshire Cleric is delayed; took several seconds to register.

posted a message on Need help on Mage and Priest

I think Kripp used Elise in spell priest and possibly purify. Both can be easily updated for Gadgetzan, and I've gotten a few wins with my own spell variant lately.

Elise doesn't work as well on mage unless you're prone to be down to useless or underpowered spells. I have used Prince Mal in a N'zoth deck for more minions instead (usually helps, but there's the occasional Millhouse or Lorewalker Cho sent in).

posted a message on Remove Dirty Rat from the game

For every bloke that gets lucky with a Dirty Rat/Reno combo, there's another who draws out a Loot Hoarder or Deathwing, Dragonlord with a hand of dragons waiting.

    That rogue was NOT prepared.

posted a message on Legendary to craft -- Nexus Champ Saraad or ...

I'm really tempted to make Nexus-Champion Saraad, as I play several versions of priest decks and he'd fit (esp. in shadow), but I also know that things are going to change by April and the card will be wild play only.

Came back to Hearthstone last summer, with only some classic and Naxx cards at the time. After slogging through wild and collecting packs (dragons, Gadgetzan and Old Gods packs were kind to me with legendaries, got 2 of 3 crime bosses from Gadgetzan) to buff up my priest, pally, druid and mage decks, I now need to figure out what to craft to keep things interesting. I figure a few can get crafted by the time the adventure drops.

Went through the list of missing legendaries and came up with this ranking list, and want to hear from others what should be crafted. I’ll be collecting classic packs for the next month (I'm missing a lot of cards there), so hopefully one or more of the targets below get picked up as I gather more dust.

Top 10 Most Wanted Legendary List Ranking:

    1. Ysera

    2. Bloodmage Thalnos

    3. Don Han'Cho

    4. Tirion Fordring

    5. Nexus-Champion Saraad -- falls in rank due to upcoming Wild-only play

    6. Ragnaros the Firelord

    7. Fandral Staghelm

     8. Alexstrasza

    9. Auctionmaster Beardo

    10. Prophet Velen

posted a message on Worth dusting Wild to improve Standard collection?

If you play priest: Lightbomb and any debuffs (silences, etc.).

Have an Eater of Secrets ready (I know, Old Gods card). Secret pallies and hunters abound.

N'zoth decks can be a pain to deal with too. And get ready for sludge belchers and deathlords blocking your way from killing Kel'Thuzad.

Haven't played much wild since Gadgetzan came out (I did the reverse: I just came back to Hearthstone since leaving a bit after the Naxx release -- I spent the last few months trying to get cards so I could play standard) but games tend to be slightly slower unless you get a mech deck user.
