The problem comes either from your skills or your luck.Dude have you ever played the MU?! You don't get turn a 1 drop and they do and you're screwed.... It's not a good MU.... It's 50/50 at best but I'd be more inclined to say that Zoo is slightly favored.... -

IMO, I think Demonwrath, Hellfire, and Shadowflame are enough for AoE removal against most decks, if you pay attention to lining up your Shadowflame with your opponent's threats.
As a Renolock, you'll outvalue pretty much every other deck except possibly Control/Fatigue warrior and maybe a smart Echo Mage player, in which case Twisting Nether costs too much mana to use effectively (unless you run 2 Molten Giants or something).

While I do think Unstable Portal is extraordinarily RNG-ish, I think cards like Arcane Missiles, Flamecannon, and Avenging Wrath (which I know is a paladin card) are actually well-made. It's mostly because it rewards you for having board control and synergizes with your hero power.
For example, you can use Arcane Missiles to soften a minion so that you can trade a Mad Scientist in, or clear your opponent's small minions to set up a Flamecannon. And for the paladin case, if you have 2-3 Silver Hand Recruits up, then those can clean up after Avenging Wrath and finish the minions that the card missed.
And I agree with the sentiment that the coin can really make or break Tempo Mage, which is really unfortunate, since it's one of my favorite decks to play (when I have the coin).

Awesome guide! I'm always glad to see someone pay a good deal of attention to matchups.

If Transform was a keyword in Hearthstone proper (I know it's a keyword on this website), I think it would make sense to change the wording, probably just to highlight the "buff", like in Druid of the Saber. Maybe it's cause I've played HS for along time, but "Transform to gain..." makes perfect sense to me. I prefer that over Druid of the Flame actually, since it's easier to compare +3 health vs +3 attack than 2/5 vs 5/2. I mean, think about a case other than card games, say cell phone plans. You'd rather know what the benefits of each plan are, rather than 2 whole, detailed plans and trying to find the differences.
However, transform isn't a HS keyword. While it's understandable in the context of Polymorph, it might actually hinder parseability like Brode mentioned in the video, because first-time players now have to think what it means to "transform" to gain +2 health & taunt or charge, when the transform honestly doesn't matter 95% of the time.
Honestly, I'm rather ambivalent about the issue. I definitely understand the PoV insisting on consistency, but there are already many issues that new players have to face when playing against cards like Ysera and Arch-Thief Rafaam (where the card(s) given are unknown to the player playing against the card) that throwing one more in the mix doesn't sound as bad as making one more basic card hard to play. But in the end, I think Brode's justified in making Druid of the Claw easier to play and a bit harder/inconsistent to play against.

Howdy! To make a deck like you see above, you just need two steps:
1. Create a deck using our deckbuilder page. You can find it in the top banner, or go to this link: http://www.hearthpwn.com/deckbuilder/mage
2. Once you add the cards, give it a name, and a deck type, you'll get to your deck page. You'll see this in the page:
Then type what you see above and you'll get:

Wow, I'm really impressed with the level of detail, and especially with all the General Tips. Great job!

Oh man, I've been waiting for a weapon-less Rogue deck. I seem to always make the wrong choice about whether to keep/buff/hit with my weapon which have been costing me games.
I'm definitely looking forward to trying this out!
Also a question about Brann Bronzebeard. How should I play him? Basically, I'm wondering if I can:
I realize the true, real answer will probably be rather complex, but an answer that works like 80% would be great as well.

Neat analysis! I actually agree with your valuation on Brann Bronzebeard. TBH I don't see him as much more than a 3rd Antique Healbot, or maybe a turn 3 must-remove when facing an aggro deck.
I suppose I disagree a bit with Ethereal Conjurer in tempo mage though. The fact that you're guaranteed a spell and that you can pick whether you get a high-mana or low-mana spell (to some degree) makes this better than Azure Drake in tempo mage IMO. Sure, 3 health might be weak, but since tempo mage contains many "must-remove" minions, I think Ethereal Conjurer might find a spot in tempo mage with its scary 6 atk stat.
I can't say the above for sure since I haven't had the chance to try it out in tempo mage, but I think there's potential for the mage's only 5-cost minion.

This deck might get a lot better really quickly due to the Warsong nerf:
