LOKShadow posted a message on [Legend] LOKShadow Aggressive OTK WarriorPosted in: [Legend] LOKShadow Aggressive OTK WarriorUnfortunately you're going to need way more than 10 games to learn the deck. If you don't want to spend the time and effort, I would suggest aggro shaman. I hear you can learn that deck in a few games.

zarmutek posted a message on Group therapy! Need to blow off steam? Mega salty? Here is the place!Posted in: General DiscussionQuote from KizaruTengu8 >>So I played against Jungle Moonkin Druid at high legend..I was playing Totem Shaman.
He was pretty behind and only Swipe saves him...he topdecks it.
He plays Yogg Saron which gives him a Burgle.
Then I rebuild my board and havve a Valiant with some totems, he plays Fandral, Wraths Totem Golem, draws Nourish, which gets him Mulch...
I get ahead again and bring him to 5 with a Doomhammer...he plays Moonkin, draws desperately to find the second Swipe, with 4 mana he uses Far Sight got from Burgle, uses Swipe and clears my Board...
I attack with Doomhammer and bring him to one, with me at 15 life, he has just a Moonkin.
He plays Nourish, draws another Moonkin, attacks me for 4 bringing me down to 11, Innervates a LAVA SHOCK got from the Burgle and uses the second Moonfire to kill me exactly...
I'm done for today, really...
Shaman is the class I hate the most, reading this was therapeutic. This forum works wonders. -

mk572 posted a message on Should I craft Freeze Mage?Posted in: MageI think we're all missing the deeper implications of the question. Yes, Freeze Mage is a competitive deck that has been around for a long time, but what does that mean? Is it really worth to play Hearthstone? Why are we here? Is it our purpose in live to click on the digital representation of tangible pieces of paper, dragging red arrows until something explodes?
Yes, Freeze Mage can freeze the opponent's board, but can it freeze time? Can Ice Block shut in our inner fears? Can a Blizzard blow away the realization that we spend our time and money grinding virtual goods that will never leave the server?
You ask if Freeze Mage is fun, but I ask, is it happiness?
Freeze Mage is the ultimate nihilist: Play the game to not play the game. It's not enough to just remove everything the opponent plays, you do it in the most ice-cold way possible while screaming about his impending doom. And when you say "I bring life and death", it becomes clear that the intention was never to bring anything but death.

Maximal_HS posted a message on Handlock vs Secret PallyPosted in: WarlockHere how I do it usually and I have like 75% winrate against secret palas.
You need 2 hellfires in the deck for best mulligan.
Mulligan for Molten Giant, Hellfire, Darkbomb, Voidcaller, Drake, Mortal Coil, sometimes you can leave Jarraxxus even if you dont have voidcaller, its most likey gonna come in the next 4 turns. Jaraxxus is the killer in this matchup.
Turn 1 pass
Turn 2 Darkbomb his juggler or secret keeper, if you have darkbomb, else tap.
Turn 3 if you have coin drop voidcaller, if you have a demon, else drop drake. No coin - tap and mortal coil his 1/1. That way you recycle a card.
Turn 4 drop voidcaller, drake or giant if possible, dont hellfire.
Turn 5 is usually the turnaround turn. this turn you can hellfire into molten most of the time, because opponent dealt enough damage. Ideally you have a voidcaller on this turn, you hellfire, killing his shredder, trade voidcaller into whatever came out of the shredder and bring your demon in, drop a molten at the same time. So basically opponent left with no minions maybe apart from shielded minibot or 1/1s from creeper. Which is rare. You can remove divine shield on turn 3 with mortal coil if you already have good cards. So usually opponent is gonna drop mysterious challenger on turn 6, and its gonna get bghed or killed by molten. From there you are winning.
Dont be afraid to tap in this matchup, you need to get specific cards to win in this matchup and dont healbot when not needed, apply pressure, establish more board control.

noxdivina posted a message on Midrange Druid vs Secret Paladin; Good matchup?Posted in: DruidIt's an OK matchup, but I don't think it's that strong for the Druid. Aggro Druid is stronger, mainly because with Midrange Druid the Paladin can often out-value your board, force silences on Blessing of Kings and Avenge to clear the way for Tirion, and Noble Sacrifice counters combo.
Basically first make sure to proc individual secrets ASAP - because secrets are far scarier when combined (i.e. try to proc the Noble Sacrifice so he can't combo with Avenge - Hero Power is good for it, try to proc Avenge and Redemption favorably). Keeper of the Grove can be MVP, but you only have 2 of them. Beware of Tirion Fordring, as I mentioned you will often want to save a Keeper for him because druid really has no good answer besides it.
Don't be afraid to use trees to answer Mysterious Challenger if you don't have BGH. Also, realize that you don't need to necessarily attack into Dr. 6 when he is played. If there's no board and you have a taunt, it may in fact be correct just to wait a turn without attacking.
Try to keep the Paladin's board clear at all times because they will greatly increase the threat of Dr. 6 - this includes (at least, in my opinion) keeping Swipe in the opening hand. DO expect a Turn 3 Muster for Battle and DO expect that you WILL lose if you don't Swipe it.
Don't play bears into Redemption.
Realize that, even though the meta is weaker for them than a few weeks ago due to LoE, if the Paladin has a perfect draw, you'll still likely lose no matter how well you play,.

So this matchup is very common, and one that I feel I am unfavored (apart from when I run miracle rouge).
I have been using warrior variations (dragon, midrange pirate) and paladin variations (murloc OTK and midrange pally).
I usually go for the trades, trading to get rid of their beasts and trying to keep board contro. But trading almost feels like it is in their favour. they can use cheap spells to remove minions, whilst putting down sticky minions like infested wolf and highmane. Then they follow up with insane burst and the 8 mana call of the doctor.
Is it right to trade for their highmane and other minions? Should I be more aggressive in my approach to the matchup? Is it usually just a case of 'if they get their doctor 8 off it's basically GG'?
If there are any guides on this matchup please let me know. Cheers

There's a thread for posts like this...
the fact that you are sitting in rank 16 has nothing at all to do with Miracle rouge, and everything to do with how you are playing the deck.
Want to become better? watch pro's play the deck, and before they make plays ask yourself what you would do in that situation. I have gotten legend two seasons in a row using miracle rouge. (once on a winstreak from rank 3 to legend), and the meta has not shifted in such a crazy state to negate that achievement. Keep trying mate.

I'm pretty sure Ben Brode didn't mean creating a reno priest when he made those comments.. thinning out a control priest so much so just to include Reno? when half of priest's cards heal the hero? I don't even need to try this deck to know it would get destroyed by aggro, let alone midrange.
