Can we just agree that ''Remove'' is like the most disgusting mechanic ever? 

Why does it even exist? How do you even counter that?

Hello guys. Today I looked at some cards on wild and they made me go...bruh. I remember playing this.

I know a lot of people here who are very old users and propably had the same thing happen to them before. Which made me wonder something. I wondered what their favourite expansions were.

So, let me start then. My favourite Hearthstone expansion ever is...,Whispers of The Old Gods. 

To this day, its still the most fun ive ever had playing this game. And I think it is the expansion that set a lot of the basis of cards for certain classes. For example, Shaman got Evolve which is still being used in new cards and the legendary 4 MANA 7/7  Warrior got damaged synergy cards, rogue and priest got copy from enemy cards, Paladin got Steward of Darkshire and Stand Against Darkness which is support for both silver hand recruits and low cost minions and divine shield, Mage finally got Shatter and adding random to spells to hand with Cabalist's Tome , Hunter got heavy Deathrattle cards which I think was when Deathrattle Hunter actually became a thing,  Druid got Fandral Staghelm for choose one synergies, Warlock got decent Zoo support with cards like Possesed Villager and Darkshire Councilman, and dont forget Renounce Darkness . All classes got the 4 Old Gods, with everyone getting C'Thun. The fact that everyone got C'Thun, I dunno. I found it nice how every class had a way of getting C'Thun big by their own ways. Rogue by killing a minion and using its stats, Warlock by killing its own minions, Priest by healing, Mage by playing spells etc. 

Number two is Knights of The Frozen Throne because...ummm... Bloodreaver Gul'dan . It is also because of this expansion, that this account really even exists to be honest. I made it because I was hyped. And damn did the hype pay off. I think this was the first time in Hearthstone history where EVERYONE talked about Warlock. To this day, I dont think Warlock has ever seen a peak like that. And lets not forget, that this expansion was when the best card in the history of Hearthstone EVER was printed... Skulking Geist . This card is so good, I even made a comment about it 4 years ago. Before Geist, Jade Idol decks would terrorize players.  I truly hate no card in this entire game more than Jade Idol . If you played against a Jade Idol Druid back in the day, BOY you know what im talking about. 

Number three is... Rise of Shadows. To be honest, I dont know if this expansion was that good, but this was definitely the time I played Hearthstone the most, in my entire life. I would listen to synthwave/lofi/simpsonwave/vaporwave compilations and play Hearthstone. And to be honest I really enjoyed it.  Also WAIT A MINUTE, I just checked the cards. Bro, Rise of Shadows was when Plot Twist was added. Ahhhh... Plot twist portal Warlock. It was also when bomb warrior became a thing...Oh well. And also when Archivist Elysiana was added. 

Honorable Mention: United in Stormwind. I dont really have a lot of to say about this expansion. However, the fact is, United in Stormwind is the Hearthstone expansion in which the SECOND BEST HEARTHSTONE CARD EVER was printed. Elwynn Boar . I swear this card was like the only reason I played this game last year. I only played my Elwynn Boar deck. Heck, I even shared it in this site.

1. Whispers of The Old Gods
2. Knights of The Frozen Throne
3. Rise of Shadows.

I am really curious to see what others have to say about this.  Another subject I am curious about is which card people think is better, Elwynn Boar or Skulking Geist ? As you can notice, the best 2 Hearthstone cards ever printed. That is out of the question. But am I perhaps wrong in naming Geist as the the best when Elwynn Boar is so strong? Only way to decide is to see what the public thinks. If you are interested in sharing your opinion, please vote on the poll.

I guess Death Knight will get nerfed again. Jesus Christ...

I know spells for warrior is something we havent really seen before, but you know what, im actually digging this damaged-fire spell synergy for warrior.  There can be good cards if we get a expansion with dragons.

At least the warlock legendaries dont contain discard. 

Im excited to see how Devourer of Souls will turn out.

Wow. This is such a massive improvement over what we got with March of the Lich King. So glad they listened to feedback.

Is it me or new Mage cards are boring ?

 UNLIMITED...POWAH!

Seems like only the already strong classes get strong cards

Another win-condition for Demon Hunter. Another insane-value card.

How many more Druid aoe minion buffs do we need? HOW MANY?

4. Blessing of the Ancients
5. Drum Circle

8. Azsharan Gardens
9. Herald of Nature
10. Branching Paths

And thats not even ALL of them...Why not add a draw card to support mill Druid? When done correctly, Dew Process Druid works perfectly. Or maybe add even more cards for choose one or just do something NEW. Something original. Something that doesnt revolve around killing your opponent on turn 6. STOP WITH THE DAMN BUFF CARDS.

 

 The answer is simply that every card they design is for standard, and its applications in wild are what they are.

Most of what is listed here is not in standard, hence more board buffs.

This is kind of akin to saying "ugh, why does mage need ANOTHER card that discovers spells, or priest needs ANOTHER AoE clear."

Standard.

Cultivation will protagonise a lot of nasty finishers if the trent archetype finish to be good.

8 mana Elise pog

So priest's themes of the expansion are "random RNG minions go" and "let's try bottomfeeder druid in priest". I don't see the new class cards doing much outside of the titan in control games, and the two generic discover-a-card minions.

Funny enough, I think pit stop is probably almost best in a deck with 3 or less mechs, to consistently draw Voltron Prime on curve. And sparkbots possibly go in there as well, because giving your titan windfury has been confirmed to let them use two abilities a turn, so it becomes a wildly better turn 7. 

I wonder if there are people actually excited to play mech decks..
