To many games where I know I have lost by turn 5 becuase they hit jack pots on all the spells they draw for free with the spell that draws cards and gives you mana back if its a spell drawn. Just got out of a game where on turn 5 the guy went from an empty board to 7 3/4's and killing both my creatures. Having all that happen makes me not want to play anymore games. It doesn't happen every time but it's also not a rare thing for player to get 3 turns of value in one turn.

Something like Crypt Keeper could be easy to get down with all the armor you get from your hero power, or if that feels too dependent on the hero power cards, something like Metrognome is a great draw tool for how many 1 cost cards are in this deck. Rowdy Fan or Incorporeal Corporal are good options too if you want to maximize damage.

Personally, I don't like Lingering Zombie in this deck because it drastically reduces your odds of resurrecting Free Spirit and Groovy Cat with Unending Swarm. Other than that, this list looks great!

Did anyone read my follow up post? My problem with Mage is not based on its recent design or the fact the I think Deck of Lunacy is even a good card. I just think that playing against it is insanely boring for your opponent because there is about 0 counterplay to anything that they do. And this is not some thing that is "just happening" with this one card. For like, the past 4 years 50% of all mage cards literally just have the word "random" thrown in ad nauseam for whatever reason. I'm just saying that I hate mage because I'm sick of having to deal with massive highrolls and lowrolls deciding a game in its entirety on top of the already heavy amount of draw RNG that is inherent in card games. I like the class in theory, but why is it that Blizzard can't design a mage deck the doesn't have the word random written on all of the cards? I realize that is kind of an overstatement but it really feels that way and I'm sick of it. My problem with DoL is certainly not that it's good but that it's popular, and that I have to sit through these really stupid games where my opponent's deck is either utterly garbage or insanely strong, and the entire game could just end any turn because they topdeck a good card. But this is nothing new and it's how Blizzard seems to want Mage to be for some reason, and I hate it.

I played like 60 games from diamond 10+ and I never saw this card once, there are so many other cards that are much stronger than Venomous Scorpid in this set, I actually don't think it will see play in very many strong decks. No spell mage doesn't play minions, it's too slow for secret paladin, it doesn't really fit into miracle rogue, and control warlock has about 5 cards that they would rather play than it, but maybe it's a one of in that deck. I really think this card is balanced.

Every time I play against mage its just a massive clown fiesta. 90% of their cards are completely random but for some reason it always works in their favor (at least against me). I've queued into 3 different mages who just played deck of lunacy on 2 trying to get past diamond 10 and every single time they get completely perfect spells and they always just completely destroy me. This is not really fun and it feels really stupid to lose against this deck, I just kinda want to go back to the time where not every single mage card did something random.

Aren't Lightforged Crusader and Lightforged Zealot rotating? I think they are from Descent of Dragons and I'm not sure if that deck is really that good enough withot them.

I actually think that this will be enough of a problem for Blizzard to change it. When I first saw the animation I was actually kinda shocked at how painfully slow it is. I mean, it does say cast your hero power at all enemies but I thought that it was going to do it all at once and not actually be just like if you literally had to drag your mouse from your hero power to every single enemy individually.
What is it with all these slow animations anyway? I thought Guess the Weight was bad enough.
