Great deck. Im just curious about Eaglehorn Bow. I like to run more secrets than bows, so sometimes I just cut the Bows completly. (Im not that good with hunter though.) But you you think the weapon in itself is alright, and the secret part is just a neat bonus?

Respawning an extra taunt can be super powerful. (you N'zoth, they remove tirion and then you die. If you respawn another taunt it makes this alot harder for your opponent) His the second best deathrattle taunt. For your curve he is one of the best 7 drops in standard. The only 7 mana dragon and  only 7 mana deathrattle minion.

Id say his important, but I havent crafted him myself, yet.

Nice. Chillmaw is crawling up my crafting list. Other contenders are Hogger, doom of elwynn, Shifter Zerus and Onyxia; but out of these I think Chillmaw is the most competitive one atm

So silence got nerfed (owl + keeper), is Chillmaw worth crafting now? Definitely fits dragon pala as well, and can be respawned via N'Zoth, the Corruptor! :)

I wanted to make a deck with N'Zoth, the Corruptor and Chillmaw. Respawning a taunt can be really powerful, but there aren't many good deathrattle taunts in standard (aside from tirion). I never mananged to create a good deck though, but this looks promising!

How much is Humility doing? I never really likednor saw much value in that card.

My thoughts on the revisions (Revision: 8):

Psych-o-Tron keeps impressing me the more I play it. Double forbidden healing has been really handy to me though, so dont think the Earthen Ring would be enough. Now that you took him out as well Im afraid for my health :S Yet its often better to remove than to heal, I guess.

Like the Kodo, best neutral 5 drop in the game imo. But I can see how 2 could get clunky.

Never liked humility, but its probably better than I give it credit for. I like how you ditched the Twilight Summoners, at least running a second one is way too slow. Vs slow control it could be nice to Elise out the extra carddraw for fatigue as well as Ooze vs non-weapon classes. However, I think at least one MCT is great to have vs zoo, divine pala and shaman. It can also be good vs opposing N'zoth perhaps?

Would personally go -1 humility - Elise for +1 MCT and 2nd forbidden healing.

Great in wild with implosion, darkbomb, bane of doom, mal gahnis and healbot. Bane of doom can summon voidterror, mal gahnis (and mistress of pain), making the average outcome alot better than it is in standard, Whithout the first two spells and with bane of doom summoning weaker demons in standard, I dont see this guy fitting in untill a new expansion with better warlock spells.

If you run neferian this guy becomes better though, as other classes have generally better spells than warlock. Chogall would be OP as a neutral minion, but luckily his not that broken.

Even though this list may seam long this is everything you can do to get rith of him. This list basicly sums up how to get rith of any big minion, with the exception of directed spells. In other words I think Soggoth is solid as he is hard to remove, UNLESS you have a big board that can trade into him. So to stop this guy you need excactly:

The Black Knight - you need him in the deck, in your hand, AND you need to not have used him on something else.
Doomsayer - if you dont have a way of dealing with him.
Destroy own Sylvanas - This counters ANY minion though, and can be randomly counterd by having other minions on the board.
Deathwing - (But he counters anything but Sylvanas)
A very big C'thun - Cant really be stopped by much either.
Abusive Sargent + BGH - really?
Spellbreaker or other silence - But that doesnt really deal with the 5/9 body

    Class removal:
Freezing Trap - Counterd by Soggoth not attacking.
Deadly Shot - Can be randomly counterd by having other minions on the board. (Who plays Deadly Shot anyway?
Brawl - Can be counterd by having no other minions on the board.
Enter the coliseum - Can be counterd by having no other minions on the board. (who plays Enter the Coliseum anyway?
Equality + random or AoE damage - Counters anything
Set his attack to 1 + Stampeding Kodo- Only relevant vs control paladin
Keeper of uldaman + 3 damage
Vanish or Kidnapper - But only postpones the problem, same with freeze AoE and random target freeze powers.
Twisting Nether (or Doom!) - to remove one card? Fine by me
Giant + Abusive Sargant + shadowflame - to remove one card? Fine by me :P
Multiple AoEs - still fine by me.

    New entries:

S - Soggoth the Slitherer (Up from B-tier). Really hard to remove. Grants alot of value more often than not.)
A - Bog Creeper; - "Good stats per mana, more health than manacost"; actually lost to this guy the other day haha, I initiallythough he was good but then I changed my mind. But I agree that he actually is pritty solid when it comes to a big taunt card.
C - Faceless Shambler - great in some cases, but you cant just throw him down when you need him and expect him to protect you if you dont have another big minion to copy stats from. Some of the value I see in a taunt, is that you can slam them down to immidiatly stopp aggression, whithout having a need for board presence already.
D - Bilefin Tidehunter - "Decent stats, but low health taunt isn't desired", probably great in zoo/aggro pala type of decks with multiple small value minions that need protection.
D - Squirming Tentacle; Current biggest neutral 3-mana taunt. Still thinks he is pritty weak though. A cheap way to protect your other good minions more so than to protect yourself imo. Maybe in priest or shaman where yu can heal it up again? Or in a deck with alot of smaller valueble minions? If you need taunt and a 3-drop this is your guy.

I was just thinking how broken he could be in other classes. DIdnt think of neferian-ing  other class cards! Maybe Ill find some use for Cho'Gall after all :) Dont think SYphon Soul nor Shadow flame with him is too impressive, but it can function as some neat flexibility. Dragon lock with Neferian and Cho'Gall lets go!

    Original Post:
I want to have an overview to what the best taunt options are. I made a tier list based on what taunts I think are good with the reasons stated in parenthesis behind each tier. Are there some taunts that I under or over value? Do you agree with the list? Please let me know, and more importantly, tell me WHY you think so!

S - Twin Emperor Vek'lor; Twilight Guardian; Chillmaw; Master JousterCyclopian Horror (Insane stats, but only when conditions are met)
A - Sen'jin Shieldmasta; (Good stats per mana, more health than manacost)
B - Sunwalker; Psych-o-Tron; Soggoth the Slitherer (Low stats per mana, but still hard to remove)
C - Dread CorsairCrazed Worshipper; Infested Tauren (Low stats, but has synergy with weapons/C'thun/N'Zoth)
D - Evil Heckler; Hogger (Decent stats, but low health taunt isn't desired)
E - Shieldbearer and the rest of the taunts that "never" see play as they are too unimpactfull.

Honeroble mentions (Awesome indirect taunts) - Golden Monkey; Hogger, Doom of Elwynn; Defender of Argus; Sunfury Protector)

Grom is better for this deck. But for most decks Ragnaros is often a natural fit. I always craft good neutrals over class specific cards so I can play more decks.
