Ok, then continue playing this deck that requires no skill at all and is basically more cancerous than face hunter.

IIIIII'm gonna have to say that's a bold statement there Sire Salty. Let me just say that I do not think aggro decks are cancer, I prefer mid-range and control before you go freakin out that im a no skill s'MOrc, difference is I understand the purpose of these aggro decks and why they are in place, however your comments are interesting and humurous so I felt the need to retort:

Now, you are going to sit here and tell me that a deck, not even older than two weeks in playtime....is more cancerous than the insanely hated Huntard all of a sudden after how many seasons of him retaining that title? Cooome on lol. This is where self-proclaimed "anti-aggro" players piss me off because you have been bitching about Hunters for God knows how long, now there is a completely different aggro, class, and play-style brand new to the meta, it smokes you a couple times and its suddenly "nope thats it, most cancer in the world. So much cancer, I need kemo. More cancer than Huntard" like get over it lol.

There will always be aggro decks, and yes they will piss everyone in the game off at some point, but so will control and mid-range. This game is a grind, once a month we give up our hard earned ranks to start near the bottom of the ladder and repeat. Most people do not want to have the 45 minute grueling matches all the way back up to rank 4, its exhausting. Aggro decks like this or facetard are in place so they can quickly get back to where they were. Also, if you are a top 5 rank before and leading into legend, you should easily know thar aggro decks basicaly become non existent at those ranks. Its just a quick way to get back to your rightful spot, and then there are the noobs who will not have enough dust to craft a legend for a very long time. Cheap cards to maximize their skill and the few cards they own in a face to death style is the easiest and best way for noobs to learn the game. It is a necassary evil. Learn to live with it because it is not going anywhere no matter how much you biitch about it.

How is Acidmaw bad? Combined with UTH and you can kill everything that takes 1 pt of damage.

Let everyone know how many games you get that perfect 10 cost combo to drop in your favor bud.

Why Justicar Trueheart? I like the concept and see it's used by many, but a 6/3 6 drop is hard for me to love I don't care what its ability is.

While I would tend to agree. It's not the case and as it stands, they're terrible. The only exception would be crush in an arena deck.

so the expansion has been out for about 24 hours and just thought I'd get everyone's thoughts thus far on what, so far (I know it's early still) their favorite legend seems to be from the new expansion? What about the worst? Are you surprised by your decision or not really? Mine so far would be Varian Wrynn, and it's not surprising. Worst would be Icehowl. I just don't like a 10/10 drop as it stands unless you like BGH food in your deck, and one that can't even attack the hero? Garbage. Just wanted to hear everyone else's thoughts.

I agree with 4 out of 5 of these choices. Bolvar Fordragon, when used correctly, ends up being a fantastic legend. His play is slightly similar to that of an Edwin VanCleef. I'd say either one of the other two Hunter legendaries (ahem....excuse me "three" I forgot Acidmaw is a "solo" piece) would make a very satisfactory replacement.

I got one from the 50 pack preorder. Skelton knight. Haven't bought any others but I'll let you know. As it stands I'm pretty disappointed for what I got out of 50 packs when compared to a typical drop rate of 50 packs for me. I assume Blizz tinkered with the drop rate.

EDIT: Bought Seven more and ended up with one more. It feels like Blizz lowered the drop rate on the pre-order probably for balancing purposes, if I was to guess. Could be wrong and just had not that great RNG.

It's bad advice because you can't substitute Thalnos for something that looks similar when both Kobold and Loot Hoarder are way lower in power level than the rest of the deck. Thalnos is irreplaceable but yes, you can play the deck without him. If you want to replace Thalnos, play good cards that work well in the deck but don't necessarily fill exactly the same role. Shredder and Teacher are both excellent choices and this particular list is already way too light on 4drops anyway.

As for the second half, are you really arguing that Teacher is a bad card in rogue? One of the strongest plays in this deck is turn 4 Teacher Prep Evis, or Teacher Prep Sap, or Teacher Backstab even. Especially consider that Control Warrior is your worst matchup and Teacher demands a Brawl on its own (or at least a Revenge + Shield Slam).

Never once argued mate. As I stated before, to each their own. I personally have rarely played teacher and gone "man that was worth it" just is not a card I'm a big fan of. For someone with your play style, it may work splendidly and good for you. I don't knock anyone for the cards they find success with, it's what makes each match a challenge and each player's style unique. My only point was I don't see how you can call it a "bad replacement". I've watched a Paladin literally run through a tournament with Scarlet Purifier, every useless secret pally players wish were discontinued and replaced with anything else, and Bolvar Fordragon. Bolvar is a fun card, but rarely can he be utilized before the match ends and if he is, he's dealt with instantly and Purifier was much regarded as a card on the level of Magma Rider and Angry Chicken in the class specific card list. Nobody used him and to this day he's rarely used. I feel the secrets need no further explanation.

So I learned that no card is a bad card if properly used by the mind behind the deck. If I was arguing though, I would curiously ask what sense Kobald is "lower in power levels" compared to the rest of the deck makes or even means for that matter? First off I didn't know Hearthstone began a power level system rating for cards, so you are sharing something new with myself and many others, I'm sure. Next question is that you would play Thalnos in this deck if you had him, yes? Is he not a turn 2 1/1 drop? I get it he has a card draw deathrattle but you're going to tell me that's the one ability that raises his "power level" so significantly that he is allowed to be overlooked and make it in the deck?? Come on now, that's silly and makes absolutely no sense. However, I'm not. Just food for thought.

This is really bad advice, those are both awful cards. Play another Shredder or Barber or a Teacher or even a Shiv over both of those.

It's actually really good advise if you are set on playing this deck without Thalnos. The key advise OP and countless others have made very clear is, like most legendaries in a deck no card can replace it. That's why it's a legendary. Kobald Geomancer is often substituted for Thalnos for the less fortunate trying to run rogue without Thalnos. Same cost, also adds the +1 damage to spells and it's a 2/2 over a 1/1 just doesn't have the card draw death rattle, but with Sprint and Fan of Knives there are certainly other opportunities to utilize card draw in your match. He also makes a good point on that without, it makes little sense to run Fan of Knives because it's pretty weak on its own. Loot Hoarder is another I've hard used in substituting. That one I would call a terrible substitute, but other Rogue fans out there really build their game off of card draw so that's not a bad sub for them and their play style.

I'm just confused how that was bad advise? Barber isn't bad but do you really need another with all the bonus damage weapon cards in here already? I'll give you Shredder bcz it's a great card, except keep in mind now you're taking an early game threat and moving it back to turn 4 and personally, even though it's apparently sacrilege amongst rogue players, I think violet teacher is not that good at all. Sure the 3/5 body is ok, but it's a turn four drop requiring a spell to activate it's useless ability, a 1/1 disciple. Mages are just having a real fun time literally shooting fish in a barrel with their hero power until they are bored and azure dragon followed by flame cannon end the violets useless run on board, and Paladins love to make their recruits hug it out with her little students. Shiv is good, but again without the early +1 spell ability, that's another one I think turns somewhat useless. Now to each their own, what works for some, certainly does not for others and vice versa, that's the beauty of HS is there really isn't a whole lot of bad advise you can give or receive, you just absorb it all and formulate your own ideas of what works.

I think it's a great deck. I don't really understand why salty people have to come in to these decks posted and rant and rave about "screw the proof. This deck sucks" etc etc. these are made with what was successful to the individual and certain players with certain play styles will find it equally effective, others won't. Those that don't, find one that does and move on. People take time from their day to give us these decks and play for hours perfecting it, then type up a guide upon posting bcz you people demand it be done or you won't vote up. Like chill. If you're so all knowing go build your own. People work hard on these so players who actually enjoy the game and don't take it like its a damn life or death match can also enjoy these decks and try something new or break through maybe an area of creating their own deck class that had them stuck, or just to try it as is and have some fun with it. People are ridiculous. No respect whatsoever.

Ok, now that my little rant is over lol. This deck is a lot of fun, I haven't had a massive win streak or anything (four I think was my be Ist) but if played right will certainly give your opponent frustration and have him scrambling around trying to deal with your board. I think it's a better suited deck for higher up in the ladder as you will face more control and mid style decks than the rush/aggro plague early on. It can still give aggro some frustrations though. For example, Mountain Giant opening hand is awesome. Literally I spend 3 turns Hero Powering and eating the little damage I'm going to get in those turns ( which sets up for molten giant later just perfectly btw) and on turn 4 I just drop an 8/8 mountain giant and most of the time watch my opponent scramble trying to understand what's happening and deal with what I just did. Granted, occasionally I hit a BGH on that turn but next is turn 5 and my hand is full so I have plenty of choices to recover from it while he's stuck with having to play BGH on turn 4. Lol it's definitely entertaining. It is a deck that requires patience and knowing how to combo cards to maximize their potential with what you have in hand. A lot of cards have different combo variations like Ancient Watcher. Just pay attention to what your hand holds and maximize each cards use and you will get value from this deck. Love it and thanks man. Hope others can try and enjoy it as much as I did.

Neither are you. As a top deck of the week thus far I'd say your opinion is, well, widely considered to be useless as was the comment which can be concluded as absolutely unnecessary. Go be salty somewhere else and leave the space you wasted on that comment for people who enjoy the deck and are interested in learning about it or praising the creators hard work. Troll.

Whaaat??? Loatheb needs no logic, in a crucial moment at the point of the match where your opponent will literally either finish you or at least swing the momentum enough in their favor that conceding would be the only manageable option (especially against Mages, Druids, and Rogues), Loatheb if timed right completely throws off any chance of that combo happening thus leaving said opponent who was just a few moments ago snickering at the finishing combo he was about to pull off to then suddenly pulling his hair out. He is useful in any deck, plus a 5/5 body to go along with the ability is a solid bonus. Poor question my friend. Js.

posted a message on get the preorder or you're screwed.

    Man, to the OP:

Looks like your plan to start an uproar by having the community side with you in hopes that Blizzard would read it all and take off that silly little $50 deal because you either

    a) are a self proclaimed FTP that actually is just really broke or lives with Mom, therefore saying you're FTP sounds more legit, but you can't save gold for anything or better yet:

    b) you can't win any gold bcz you are that terrible of a player, so you are mad at the game for all the people with good cards while you are stuck looking online for strategy guides on how to beat the inn keeper. Meanwhile, everyone else is raking it in from arena or daily quests with little to no problem. See, we beat the inn keeper the first hour we played bcz the "suggest a card" button in your deck builder is not the guideline to making a deck and if you have to press it, especially several times, chances are you suck. Try being creative, I hear it works?

    c) Maybe you are decent, just a little slow on the draw, you are just bitter bcz you finally crafted Dr. Boom and here comes the next expansion again. A & B play a factor in this or you spend gold like a Kardashian and I am sad to know your financial situation in the real world.

    d)All of the above

Stop complaining. It's a game. This game is generously offered to us to play it at no charge, unheard of for a giant company that is held in such high esteem, like Blizzard. They even give people that do not want to spend the money in their support for all the hard work they put in, the same opportunities the people that pay get. Sure, maybe not as quickly, or maybe they do not get a card back or something a little extra, but keep in mind they are paying their hard earned cash to support their efforts in development. Getting butt hurt over that is childish and selfish. I have spent money on the game simply because I love it and I see the result of the hard working development team along with the long hours they put in so that we have the opportunity to enjoy this game at no extra cost to us. I want to keep the development going as well as compensate them, because I am not sure if you live in the same world as the rest of us, but it is far from free to live or eat in it. So what if someone who paid gets every new Legend in the expansion out of those 50 packs, the meta is just shifting, everything is new, that person has no earthly idea how to properly utilize those legends yet. Essentially, if you are a halfway decent player, you should STILL HAVE the advantage. For a few weeks might I add, which is plenty of time for you to get some packs of your own. This is a silly post, people pay for cards all the time and half of them have never even breached rank 10 or higher, because they are not a good player or do not understand how to utilize the cards they paid for.

Even so, again I remind you, it is a game, these guys work hard to bring it to you free of charge. Being butt hurt over asking for a little support and in return them rewarding the gesture of appreciation is a little ridiculous. Get over it and have fun, you could even try *gasp* being excited over the new content!! OMG!! WHAAAT?!?  Everyone else is. Don't be emo, enjoy the game like all of us are.

Dude, thank you so much for this deck, I finally found a Mage deck to fit my play style. I am a mid-range player through and through, I love playing as Mage but hadn't really found a good mid range style on here or experimenting on my own, that really fit. Tempo was as close as I could get, but still a bit to close to aggro IMO. I tried this and instantly fell in love lol, I have won my last eight straight and just lost my first game to handlock, but it was still pretty close ( both down to 8 hp and I had pyroblast but we just got to turn 8 and he dropped Rag). Thank you for this and great work, love it!
