posted a message on Savage roar needs a nerf

Current issue with druid is that they can replenish the board way to easy , and all this time you MUST trade and keep the board as clear as possible because they can always go wider and/or soul of the forest to make it very sticky and hard to remove. Very rarely you can afford to rush them, even when you are ahead on HP and minions (almost never). You are not safe even behind 1-2 taunts, as they can Roar or swipe or wrath and face trade + one minion and then kill you with the rest.

Their biggest weakness was always card draw , but with the addition of twin spells, Archamge Vargoth, Stalladris this was mitigated by alot.

Because they end the game relatively fast, and with multiple ways to replenish the board, this means that most classes won't have the tools to deal with board after board and the classes that do have the tools might not draw them fast enough as the games will end before you reach half of your deck. It's always a gamble when using board wipes as well, they might have double roar, or roar and buff or other shenanigans that will OTK you from 30.

Even if you managed to get to turn 8 without losing too much life, you are still not safe, as he now has access to 4 .... 4, board fills, and at this point he has the roar in hand, so any board left alive can kill you.

In total, on average depending on what variant he plays there are 20 cards that he can use to create a wide board. That is way to much, and based on how he uses Vargoth and Stalladris he can create more. There are 6 buff cards + 2 roars, again these can be increased by clever usage of Vargoth/Stalladris

    Elysiana, for sure.

On control mirrors, it's a coin flip of who gets better cards, most of the time.

Against aggro/midrange, even if the aggressive player baits stuff as best as he can, there we go, 10-15 more cards. Discovered on top of that, instead of being random like Academic Espionage. Oh, and contrary to Espionage, you can Banker, Brewmaster and etc Elysiana and do it YET AGAIN. If you manage to play her with an Elekk already in play, it's even worse.

So much for "now resources management will matter".

I think she'll end up nerfed to shuffle less copies or discover less cards or even get a jump to 10 mana cost to avoid bounces/copies except for Shadowstep.

I have bias obviously since this was my vote. It just shouldnt have been printed. Bomb Warrior is stupid and Archivist is a very dumb and weak "counter" to bombs so if that was their thinking, they shouldn't development card games.

What would kill bomb warrior is a way to expel spells in your deck. Bulking Giest -Battlecry Remove all spells 5 and less from your (both would be too broken for minion heavy decks) deck

In 107 votes going to make a new post with top percentage winners. 500 is a good enough sample.

Hmm, are the bombs in the deck really treated like spells? I know you can "discard" them with Elysiana and Rafaam and with hunter's Tracking, but i was playing a Mage and i thought that Book of specters will discard them, it didn't and damage went to face from any bomb draw by the book.

I guess the user is running 2 oozes and Harrison Jones.

Harrison, thanks, i almost forgot about him.  Love hate relationship with him, due to his high cost and card draw, which in some match-ups is suicide (had a lock dropping Jaraxxus, no way in hell was i about to draw 7 with 8 cards in hand and Elysiana still in my deck, vs a Rafaam morphed deck)

People were just complaining about warrior day 1 because everyone tries control first day of rotation and bomb warrior is a fairly strong counter to the day one control decks. Token druid and miracle rogue are the real tier s decks. I think druid will probably end up being most problematic but it could easily be rogue because of the combo will leroy and the new weapon. Those two cards let you do 20 damage from hand.

Hmm no, bomb warrior does not counter control decks, in any form, it's actually the other way around. But you are correct about token and miracle being S tier.

Em yes it does.  It's the best control deck by a long long way.  Nothing comes close to it.

Name 1 control deck that reliably counters bomb warrior that isn't total trash against everything else.

Even my control shudderwock shaman with Elysianna, lots of removal, 3 weapon removals, heals and value can't beat it.

    It's just a broken deck.

You seem to not know the difference between control and bomb warrior. I know some people call the mix of control and bomb, control bomb, but it's not really a control deck at that point, it's more like a midrange, tempo. The number of cards you sacrifice for the bomb package severely weakens the control part.

Decks that reliably control the bomb?? Mech hunter, token druid, pure control warrior (i play this, and when i see bomb warrior i just know i'm going to win), control shaman.

PS: i'm really sorry if you can't beat a bomb warrior with a control shaman running Elysiana and 3 weapon removals (why 3 weapon removals?? and which is the 3rd, shudderwock? )

posted a message on What deck hard counters control warrior

hard counter - Mech Hunter, Mechachtun Hunter and Warrior, Mech Paladin

bad matchup - miracle rogue, token druid, khadgar dragon mage - these can be a hard counter depending on the draws, you need perfect draw.

Been playing for 3+ years. This is the worst meta there was since I started.

    But sure, "fun".

Please go back to Pirate warrior, Kingsbane rogue, Raza priest, reno lock, undertaker hunter, Odd paladin, tunnel shaman(or whatever name it had)

There are 5 classes above 50% , all within 4%, with only Priest being extremely underpowered (as usual on the first expansion after rotation, due to his bad non expansion cards)

posted a message on this meta is already setted ?

It's pointless to discuss it, assuming equal greed with Elysiana and bankers, then it's all up to RNG, what mechs and how often are discovered by the warrior and what spells Hagatha will create. Also the ultimate RNG in Elysiana.

posted a message on So which decks counters bomb warrior?

Thief rogue doesn't win against Bomb warriors reliably, most decks now have weapon removal tech, so your blade is almost useless. You might win a game or two depending on how bad the warrior draws (or how good the rogue draws), but you will get spanked by almost all the other classes that are teched with weapon hate.

Warlock with Rafaam is not that good also, sure you might transform the bombs into legendaries, but once Boom is down, you need super rluck with your cards to outvalue him, if you don't kill him fast, he will push into fatigue with maybe Elysiana.

    What kills bomb warriors?

Heal Lucenbark druid, almost 100%, his bombs are actually helping you.  Just play the version with melon for guaranteed draw.

Token druid - warrior needs a ton of removal, and not any kind of removal, but warpath. The deathrattle summon treants is the real danger, and once you clear a board, the druid has 10 cards that can recreate it. Token druid will also give you the biggest chance against the other classes as well

Mech hunter, again mech and deathrattle are the perfect counters to warriors in general.

posted a message on Hakkar Concede Priest

Beating Kingbane rogues with their own weapon is quite special, happened to me once when i was able to get Kingsbane from the Oracle and then poison and Greenskin from Glimmerroot and Cloning Device.

Your pictures look interesting, i would suggest not to lose time in casual mode, win or lose is better to go ranked. Also the play quality is a little bit better than casual from my experience.

posted a message on Kingsbane cant be rotated out soon enough.

Kingsbane is not the problem, Raiding Party is. For 3 mana it draws 2 cards, combo it and it draw 3. That is huge value for one card, and the fact that it's effects are tribal make it even more over the top. It thins your deck by 2 each time, it draws almost all of you combo, gives you another card to draw Kingsbane (having in total 4) and also has a chance to draw Captain Greenskin allowing you to waste charges of the weapon more freely. Add to this Doomerang and Leeching Poison and it allows the rogue to not care about trading with the face even on big minions. And guess what? the fast draw is not even punished by fatigue due to Valeera the Hollow.

This card should have been printed in the next expansion when Kingsbane rotates.

posted a message on Mass Hysteria vs Psychic Scream

Both cards are good as they are best used in different scenarios. One quick example from the top of my head, you wouldn't want to Psychic Scream a board against Kingsbane rogue.

It's good to make a deck with both, and depending on what you are facing you can use a 2:1 ratio (if you don't want to waste 4 cards, or maybe one of each if your deck has other ways of dealing with the board)

posted a message on Hakkar Concede Priest

I would remove Griftah mainly due to the randomness of it and it not bringing enough value (in case you want to play with for Princess Talanji ). I would put in it's place one Skulging Geist to disrupt some combo decks, is also good against rogues to some extend, just be sure to drop it early, before Hakkar if you want to win the game with him.

Devour Mind is also not good, a better pick would be Cloning Device - although dead in spell hunter matchups. Only one Eternal Servitude is also not so good, you have a big pool of minions so the value of it goes down a lot. Zerek's is also situational and does not fit well, or atleast I'm not seeing the value.

I'm not seing the deck doing very well on ladder though, mainly because you have next to no card draw and no way to deal with any of the usual decks you find there. If you really want to play priest stick to the MB, OTK topsy variants. If you want to play Hakkar, there is already one good deck which includes it. Your deck has no real win condition, and the board you create with Princess is very easy to deal with by almost all other decks.

posted a message on How do you punish Hunters? Lets find solution and fix meta

I've been playing a Steal/Dragon/MB priest, my win rate vs hunters depends heavily on how fast i reach my MB combo, how good their draw is and how lucky they are with Rexxar (Infinite value with heal/armour beasts is difficult to beat).

The match-up is not easy as the Hunter can fill the board over and over with Spellstones, Animal companions and Call of the Wild. Those are 6 waves you need to take care, and at 4 Attack, not easy to deal with as priest (even more so Misha, with 4 health). And then you have the final fill with Zul'jin. I'm relying hard on the combo Duskbreaker + Seance, and Mass Hysteria to deal with them until i get my combo.

The problem with my deck is draw (which i have none, except discoveries) and two dead cards against Spell hunter - Cloning Device. On the flip side, stealing Zul'jin is amazing with all the spells in the deck, especially Mind Blast

Against hunters i have 63% winrate. Any suggestion is welcomed.

PS: I do not have Quest nor Archbishop, and i know that would make the deck better. I'm also thinking to drop Princess Talanji and Firetree Witchdoctor as their utility is situational at best, maybe tech into secret removal.

    Quote from Maximal18 >>

    Overrated (1-50):

Immortal Prelate (21) - Situational greedy card in a class with weak card draw, horrible 2nd drop, can be easily silenced.

I would not dismiss the card so easily, the fact that requires a silence already makes it a good card as it means that you just made your opponent waste one, possibly protecting another valuable asset in the future.  The cost is pretty low, the stats are ok as well. The fact that it shuffles back into your deck while keeping the buffs is amazing. You could pair it with Da Undatakah and just one Spikeridged Steed for huge bonuses (basically meaning infinite value).

Having this alongside with Lynessa Sunsorrow means 3 threats that must be silenced.
