maybe if you could run this in multiples, as a one-of its a very inconsistent combo.

Twitchy posted a message on Sergeant SallyPosted in: Sergeant SallyThat argument doesn't really make sense since many Warlock Decks run Power Overwhelming anyway, so it's not like you it's useless unless you draw Sergeant Sally...The argument that it's not good because you can only play 1 of it is kinda busted anyway. By that logic nobody would play Fandral or Brann either since they also require a combo and you can only play 1 of them. -

thazud posted a message on Are the deathrattle minions too weak?Posted in: PriestI don't get why you're trying so hard to convince people this deck will fail. Team 5, who has actually playtested it, says it's quite good, so it seems to me there's nothing to worry about. To me, it's very obviously a playable archetype
I certainly never said the quest was the win condition. Add whatever win condition you like -- unless it's some convoluted OTK thing, it will be easier with the quest than without, I'm pretty sure.
I am not trying to convince anyone that the deck will fail. On the contrary I am trying to understand how the deck will be good because I cannot see it. I love Priest and hated when Priest was trash tier before MSoG and I am worried that it will happen again. I just wanted a discussion about the subject and hoped some people could ease my mind.Besides Team5 have been wrong before. :-) -

Livesage posted a message on No Point in Arena?Posted in: The ArenaTheoretically your win rate should not be affected. Even if the quality of cards in the pool has dropped, that affects everyone, not just you. Maybe your problem is that you haven't changed the way you draft cards, and are still trying to build the same kind of decks you built pre-Standard Arena.

papakeno posted a message on Should old expansion cards be disenchanted?Posted in: Card DiscussionI needed a hell of a lot of dust for this expansion so I just dusted all the legendaries, golden cards and whatnot from wild since so far I havent played 1 game of wild and I got around 30k dust so it was worth it for me :D

PixelHorse posted a message on Should old expansion cards be disenchanted?Posted in: Card DiscussionYeah well, I'd trade 4 old/bad games for a brand new one, the main idea is that one new legendary card may help you win some games while the old ones, well, you may never even play them.

I've personally found a lot of success with Potion of Polymorph instead of Mana Bind. Best case scenario Mana Bind nets you a burn spell, but is really unreliable. Just need to be careful to play Potion of Polymorph AFTER Mirror Entity, unless sheep are your thing. Very good for stuffing Hunter Turn 6 Savannah Highmane, or the big 8/8 quest reward minions.
Copying quest reward spells sounds great in theory, but delaying them with Counterspell is better, and if you really need the 5/5s, or Imps by the the time it's relevant, you're probably already in a bad spot. And if you get Time Warp, you're already dead.

I like combo decks in theory (Especially Malygosbased ones), but in Hearthstone 75% of the time a "Combo" deck is just an OTK deck that relies on you having decent draw for your combo pieces. If you get a decent draw your opponent just goes and makes a sandwich while you kill them all at once, while if you don't you just... Flop over and die pathetically. Neither of those two things is much fun for someone.

Probably. Depends how much you want to play that deck, but you do get a lot of Legendaries you could disenchant when it rotates out anyway.
Edit: Obviously if you're a Wild player it'd be worthwhile.

Honestly, I personally really like the Kazakus and goon decks, and I'm not half as tilted by the Jade decks as I thought I'd be. I'm taking it as a win.
7/10 so far. Will see when the meta settles.

I ended up in a game vs. a Reno Priest and we both ended up into fatigue (Shocker), he gets Genzo, the Shark out of the Golden Monkey. He's five turns deep into fatigue and I'm two deep.
So when he plays Genzo, the Shark and we both have less than 3 cards, so I sit here thinking "Oh wow, that's an awkward way to tie", except when he attacks he first draws 3 cards (bringing him into negative HP), then I draw 3 cards (Still in positive HP). He dies, I win. But the card reads "Until they have three cards"; so by the text we both should have drawn ourselves to death and had a draw, but he really just draws at most 3 cards. Interesting interaction.
The fact that it makes you draw first, and won't draw infinitely kind of sucks for the thought of it in Mill decks... Although I don't play those so at least I won't have to deal with it.
HSreplay link for the curious.

This is the part where those of us who wanted people to hold off until the cards were revealed sit down, isn't it?

With Kabal Courier and Kabal Chemist, this card could easily be just as noteworthy for Mage and Warlock.
