I counter aggro with Face Hunter.

You think I'm joking, but I'm absolutely serious.

Seems legit, aggro has no heals and almost no taunts AND my pally deck has a good matchup against Face Hunter. So go for it :P

I'm saying so much because there's so much to say about what Hunter can do.  If you already knew about the unseen hunter archetypes, then congratulations, I would like to give you an award for being very smart.

I have seen them and played them, the main problem with ALL of them the inconsistent card drawing. That's an even bigger problem as the hero power has no board effect, so as far as any form of board presence is concerned, you're playing without it. Also, any non-aggro, playable niche is done better by another class. It just doesn't have the tools for anything, but heavy aggression. Even the Hunter's Mark - Wild Pyromancer combo isn't enough to justify a control hunter.

I'm sorry if I sounded harsh earlier, but I've heard this argument too many times.

If you have a viable non aggro hunter deck to show off, I'd like to see it.

Here you go.  It has a pretty high winrate against everything but Zoo.

    Beastmaster - Midrange Hunter
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (16) Ability (12) Weapon (2)

Hmm, looks pretty solid, what would you think about subbing in 2 Mad Scientists for a Dire Wolf Alpha and Tracking?

Hunter is quite like Warlock.  They don't really fit into the definitions of most archetypes because of how exotic they are, and so they have rough equivalents of classic archetypes which play very differently.

Instead of aggro, Warlocks have Zoo, which uses an aggro-style deck to play a control game.  Hunters have face hunter, which is a ridiculously fast variant of classic aggro.

Instead of midrange, Warlocks have Demonlock, which plays a tempo game until it gets the big beefcakes out and you get rekt.  Hunters have Beast Hunter, which consistently buffs its minions, creating big threats which eventually overwhelm the opponent.  Granted, Beast Hunter doesn't quite have the tools it needs, and so is scraping the bottom of the barrel at this point.

Instead of control, Warlocks have Handlock, which doesn't really need explaining, whereas Hunters have a Combo build which plays like control, but keeps mild pressure on the opponent's health with their hero power.  Combo Hunter is pretty rare, but is remarkable in that it plays control, and at the drop of a hat extends its reach and kills you in 2 turns.

Hunter is already a non-aggro class.  The real problem with Hunter is that its other archetypes are obscure and rarely used, so people just aren't familiar with the options the class has.

Face decks are still aggro. How can you type SO MUCH, but say nothing. It really baffles me.

If BGH didn't exist alot of the 7+ minions couldn't exist from a balance perspective.

And if BGH didn't exist this board would be full of salt complaining about how this 7+ minion or that 7+ minion was a "I win" button.

and if there was no one damage source, I could run Magma Rager causing much QQ. and if there was no way to deal face damage directly I would run Majordomo Executus and everyone would rage, but the point of this thread is to question the problems that the game HAS, not what it might have under the circumstances of "what if"s.

Control hunter: Huh, that was a pretty cool game

Midrange hunter: Well, that was annoying

Aggro hunter: oh my god, this guy...

    Face hunter: ...fuck you...

    Huffer?

    Edit:

Unclean: refers to him being a pig

Undefeated: refers to him being a hunter win condition... I guess

    -Killjoy, Party Animal-

    -----------And me-----------

Three of a like kind, killjoy is Leok, because it is usually the one you don't want to get, party animal is Misha cuz bears? That leaves Huffer. If that is correct, I pass my turn, because I have no riddle prepared.

I would pick one based on which class you mainly play. Like if you love druid, none of those are major priorities for that class.

I didn't post in order of preference, just the order in which the appear in the HS search menu.

BTW, which ones would you recommend for druid?

posted a message on Help With Legendary Choice

I almost have enough dust to craft a legendary and need some choosing.

I have Cenarius, Bolvar Fordragon, Lord Jaraxxus, Grommash Hellscream, Old Murk-Eye, Sylvanas Windrunner, The Black Knight, Dr. Boom, Sneed's Old Shredder, all of Nazzramas and enough gold for Black Rock Mountain.

I am playing Druid, Paladin, Rouge, Warlock and hoping Shaman will be a thing again, the cards I'm thinking about crafting are:

Tirion Fordring, Neptulon, Al'Akir the Windlord, Mal'GanisRagnaros the Firelord and Ysera.

posted a message on Lengendary Cards, better off without em?

I don't know, against aggro, most of the 7-8+ mana legendaries are dead cards. Also, if you can't deal with a Ragnaros, a Force Tank MAX won't be any easier to survive. In any case, that is why you run either hard removal or a deck that can finish the game before all the orange jeweled fatties come out.
