I have a very soft spot for Black and White, a mess of a game filled with glitches, but something that blew my mind as a child. The first proper 3D god game, in which you can take multiple routes to solving quests, you have a creature of your choice (tiger, cow or ape) that starts small and becomes big as a mountain, and it can be taught to be a force of good, or a very scary sight. You can be good or evil, and your temple and creature have looks influenced by this. Spells, interesting stories and a battle of survivial against a powerful god and his allies made it a very thrilling an exciting game. It was for sure a ground breaking concept and I would sink a lot of hours in it on a daily basis. Love the game, I wish they remastered it with higher quality textures, bug fixes and an enhanced story, but that's unlikely to happen. The studio that made it does not exist anymore, and the lead, Peter Molyneux has had a recent history of failing to deliver on his most recent games. I still hope though.

Something about FF9 just clicked at the time it came out. I was a teenager and just absolutely loved it. Spent 200hrs on my first playthrough so I could 100% it.
Another game I loved from way back when was Dungeon Keeper on PC. Just something about it was awesome and I wish there was a remastered version.

Damn, dude, Dungeon Keeper... Never played the game, but when I was a kid I used to really enjoy reading stuff about it on the magazines. :)
for me Red alert, but Starcraft2 was the best during wings of liberty with 6 starting workers when the game was flexible, well then blizzard destroyed their own game and the most of the community left, what remains now is the shadow of starcraft 2 , but real people will say Starcraft broodwar is the best RTS of all time
I'll be surprised if many of you know it but my favourite game of all time is Alundra, an action-adventure game that came out for the PS1 in 1998. Truly an incredibly underrated gem.
A big "western" fan, so RDR2 easily.
