I know the aggro Shaman hate on the forums has died down a little but I still want to make this post. For the longest time I've been a fan of Shaman even though when I first started playing warlock was my favirote class, but Thrall slowly crept in to my heart.. I tell you this so that I can also tell you that I've been through it all with Shaman; all the jokes and mockery, for the longest time no one has taken the class seriously. When I first began playing this game I was a super casual (now I'm just a casual) I would play it like 3 hours a week or something, it took me a while to discover Twicth tv and the joys of twitch chat... I don't really watch twitch much anymore but when I did every time I saw a Player trying to play my favirote class he would lose and then go on a rant about how shit shaman is and how blizzard needs to fix the poop class. The chat always had their jokes and stuff, and always made fun of the fact it was never in any tournaments along with Rogue and Priest, a few people even said that the best way for Blizzard to fix the class was to just delete it from the game :(....
lol ok enough of that lets get to the next reason. We all know the relationship between Shaman and the now infamous Paladin, this class Paladin supposedly crushes Shaman and has been doing so for a while now. To me it's always felt kind of like a rivalry and I have hated Paladin for a very long time. The creation of secret paladin didn't phase me at all because I have hated the class before Mysterious Challenger came to be. I always felt like the class was created solely to beat Shaman and that many of the cards they've aquired should have been for Shaman. Before Mysterious Challenger the paladin class was obviously not as popular as it is now, I still hated the class of course but I rarely ran in to it on ladder. Now, Paladins are all you see some days, Secrets, aggro, OTK, Midrange and other stuff. There was a point in time where I faced so many Paladins that I would concede as soon as I queued in to one, the sight of them just became sickening; I literally felt a bit queezy whenever I matched in to one. But all that was a while back lol, I don't get so emotional over this game like I used to.
So those first two paragraphs are pretty much why I play aggro Shaman guys. I play it for revenge >:)! Every single victory I get makes me feel so good because I know the person behind the screen is raging. Like I said, I don't watch Twitch as much as I used to but whenever I tune in now, instead of the usually jokes & mockery you see hatred & salt toward Shaman >:) yummy!! Of course I mentioned my feels against paladin because it turns out the aggro shaman is pretty good against secret paladin and a lot of times an easy win. I know that many of the people who play aggro Shaman are just face hunters and don't really care for the class, they are just playing it because Hunter is pretty poop in this meta, but that being said I am happy with the influx of Shaman on the ladder. I personally don't really care about the type of decks people play, whether it be brainless aggro or ResidentSleeper control; I feel the ladder needs to be balanced and that not one deck type or class should rule it at any point in time, so I'm glad the ladder is not overrun by hunters anymore but I'm not happy with the paladin situation.
(Random paragraph). I also want to add that I have looked at a lot of Secret Paladin complain posts and I have seen the usual and expected "just play a deck that's good against it", the usual deck the person suggests is like control priest or something and even then it's usually still a win or lose game when you use a counter, it's not guaranteed victory. Something a lot of people should realize is that some people do not really mean to complain about a deck because it's OP or anything, in fact with out even realizing it, they are just complain about the deck because they see it so often on ladder. So suggesting a counter will not do much because the fact is that the person just does not want to play against the stuff over and over. Thank goodness LoE has come out though, I must admit that it has added much diversity to the game (Gj Blizzard).
So yeah, the reason I play this brainless deck sometime is because revenge tastes sweet. Honestly it is disappointing that this is the only truly comppetive shaman archetype, I am definitely not happy about that. I want to see midrange shaman and control shaman rise too, but of course this will never happen because of the simple lack of an at least decent board clear and the fact they keep giving us crap cards each expansion... Rumbling elemental, really???
TL;DR I play aggro shaman because it's good against the paladin meta and because I enjoy seeing people rage over it.
you should seek a doctor my man. getting this upset about a game to start a revenge rampage can't be a sing of a healthy person. do you really think players care that much if the loose to a fucking face shaman. yea they will get tilted a bit but not any closer to how mad you got.
So you play the game to make other people angry rather than to have fun and actually think about what you are doing? Why don't you just go punch people in real life then? It makes people pretty mad which is all you seem to care about. And if you want a viable ladder shaman deck why not try inventing something rather than only mindlessly net decking. It's okay to net deck but far too many people who play this game only net deck.
Well I make my own decks, go ahead an check them out. I play the deck to make people angry, specifically paladin players. I have fun with this game from playing the deck but it certainly is not the only one I play. By the way, I would never punch someone I'm a nice guy!
''So those first two paragraphs are pretty much why I play aggro Shaman guys. I play it for revenge >:)! Every single victory I get makes me feel so good because I know the person behind the screen is raging.''
This is sickening. You're the opposite of that what Hearthstone (and basically any game) needs. People shouldn't be playing decks to feel good after they win because of the opponent raging behind their PC's.
I know it comes off as evil that's why I added the little ">:)", it's supposed to be a bit of humor so dont take it too seriously.

pls uninstall the game
Game uninstalled :( I'll miss you guys. But seriously I don't rage over this game, I know "hate" is a powerful word that's why I didn't really want to use it in this post but I felt it would be best to get my point across. I'm sure many people could care less losing to aggro Shaman, good on them.
meh.. i feel u man... i wanted to play shaman a long time. but now that aggro shaman is a thing, i am not playing that because i simply don't enjoy going face all the time. i want a longer game with like warrior or mage or warlock.
Yeah it's disappointing that aggro Shaman is Shaman at the moment, I really hope we can get another deck type that becomes competitive preferably Control.
I make fun smashing the shit out of fuckadins, but that was no reason to run shitty smorcs. Whenever you see something that's not paladin... what do you do then? Do you think non-paladins have no feelings, they can't feel bad if you abuse a mechanic wich implies "I'm not a hunter but damn I am a hunter"? Are you proud of becoming a face hunter with a robe and a hammer? Is this your dignity?
Simply, the kind of people like you remind me why I enjoy so much to win in ranked. There is just so many people who need justice to fall upon them, you are just one of many people who thought the only thing in this game is to spread the hartred. I'm telling you something, lad. In TGT, rogue was so bad (except from oil, wich I never liked), I had to make a face rogue to see my poor valeera again. First, you enjoy the feeling of revenge. The impression of being the underdog and punishing the very worst of hearthstone in few minutes. Then, you start thinking about yourself, and think, is this what my class needs to be to be strong? Face? Do I really had to ignore almost every single mechanic or rule of this game to have good matchups? Does that really compensates at all?
I guess everyone will come to a different conclussion, but I can tell you, while I SMOrced down people with Valeera Sanguinar, I could almost feel bits of my soul falling down, because that was no Valeera Sanguinar. That was more like a "Rexxar trying to make go face hard for himself". In fact, I was just wanting to get distracted from the state of my favorite class until something arrived, something wich gives me a good reason why not to stop HS wight now.
Now I see you, person from the internet, and I see the same empty soul I had. You have to keep fighting it, you have to search something better for your favorite class than just "hurr, durr, me smash face, face, face". Remember, face and stalling decks are like Solitaire, might look fun when you play the first time, but it's going to be repetitive. Don't try to make your shaman repetitive. And good luck trying so.
No-one should apologise over the type of deck they play. The vast majority of players start a game wanting to win, so pick the deck you think has the most chance of winning in the current meta. Otherwise you are adding in artificial rules that will inevitably reduce your overall win rate.
While I don't care more about losing to aggro than losing in general (since I played a lot of aggro decks, I know how it plays and how it can f* up as well), I think you deserve every minute you got upset while playing shaman in the earlier days. It's nice to hear that people who want to make other people mad are mostly the ones that get quickly mad themselves. So I like the certainty that you will get really mad everytime you lose with your shaman. Hope we meet on ladder (If I lose I don't care, if you lose aou will be pissed off:)...
If I never have to face aggro shaman, it will be too soon.
I play my own deck, a control kind of druid, on the low ranks because I'm a casual player and just want to have fun, but I still do Ranked because I want to get that pretty golden hero one day. And it's horrible. I can deal with facehunters unless they have a godlike hand and I have a super bad one, same with Zoolock or anything that relies on minions. But what can I do against something like face shaman? Pray I draw healbot? Loatheb? The deck doesn't make me rage, it just makes me sigh in disappointment. I don't mind being beaten fair and square by something like CW because that actually requires some skill and is a fair-ish matchup. But this...it's just annoying and wastes the 10 minutes of my time that it takes the shaman to kill me.
Not sure what kind of actual legitimate reason to play this deck I expected when I clicked the thread (maybe something like "i want to win, deal with it"). But just because you want to make people angry? Oh well, if that makes you happy...
Well i only start playing aggro Shaman when i hit Rank 5 because that's where the Secrets are. The reason i play it at times is not just to make everyone angry, its to beat the Secrets and to get revenge on the people who belittled the Shaman class. It is a shame like i said that i have to do this using a brainless deck and I really hope Shaman can be a likable class in the future and not a joke one or hated...

It seem like your personality match your main deck, congrats.
Aggro Shaman isn't my main deck lol and i don't think my personality is aggressive.

This in a sense is why I play it sometimes. I don't play it too much though because i'm trying to get golden portraits for my other heroes. My soul is listening, and so is my heart! BibleThump

I main secret Paladin and I never rage when losing. You see, before you beat me (if you somehow managed to), I've beaten another 4 people before you, so that's totally cool. You can't win forever. The only one suffering here seems to be you, bud. Take it easy.
I'm taking it easy just trying to make a funny with that sentence but I guess I failed miserably lol. Surely its not too difficult to win with Secret Paladin so congrats on beating people, maybe we will run in to each other on ladder someday!

Yep, it IS easy, I have no reason to defend that. I'm just using the strongest deck at the moment to make the best out of it, until the nerfbat hits (and looks like I'll hit Legend this season for my first time). Anyway, cya in game!
I have realized recently that most players that play Secret Pally just do it to reach legend and I don't mind that but its disappointing to see streamers play it and stuff. Anyways good luck hitting Legend and once you make it please pinky promise not to play it anymore T.T!
TL;DR I play aggro shaman because it's good against the paladin meta and because I enjoy seeing people rage over it.
Actually, Aggro Shaman is not favored VS secret Pally. Most of the time Aggro Shaman runs out of stream while Secret Pally has more then enough sticky creatures to control the board. I can honestly say Aggro Shammy is an easy match up for secret pally.

0 skill so let's play face cancer
don't be ashamed of playing a "brainless" deck, because it's not "brainless"
aggro shaman is an awesome deck capable of killing all kind of decks (except some control decks, if the game extends too much)
don't pay attention to whiners, when you smash their faces with impunity
Guys take out your umbrellas, there's a shitstorm.
PS: Even if I don't play it often I love Aggro Shammy too, so troggs rule and every-non-trogg gets rekt!
MAKE SURE TO CHECK OUT MY MURLOC PALADIN DECK :)
