I haven't hit Legend before but last month I made it to rank 4. This month I am playing several players on the ladder with Legend card backs. Its crazy the sheer number I'm running into. I'm only at rank 13 also right now. Haven't faced a single secret Paladin yet today so Ill take that as win.
How is zoo fairing for you ? Last time I played it, season 18, I felt it quite underwhelming.
If your cruising right now it might be in a better position than I thought.
Zoo is decent, but not top tier. Yesterday for example I run into hunters and priests all the time and both are bad matchups. It happens, but slowly I was still progressing.
Trying to ladder as other classes as I already got my Golden (Midrange) Pally.
Pally used to be one of my favorite classes, now I'm ashamed of it because of all this secret business.
Anyway, stuck at Rank 11. Full of those Fel Reaver Druids, Patron Warriors, Oil Rogues (surprisingly... probably because it was a deck in the finals?!), and Midrange Paladins.
Have been switching between Mage (Tempo and Freeze), Rogue (Oil and Maly) or Warlock (Zoo and Handlock) with the former decks for each class used more often.
Guys all I been playing is a adjustment of Savjz's Malygos Warlock deck with a few games of StrifeCro's Midrange Paladin. I never climbed to rank 11 so fast! Every match up seems to be face hunter, secret pally, or tempo mage. It maybe because I'm playing in the lower ranks, but the match up seems to be in my favor as I seem to just crush my opponents.
It maybe weird to say this but I view Malygos Warlock to be a very flexible deck. Plus people seem to be very confused about what deck they are playing against, sometimes you can do this by taping a whole bunch of times, or sometimes people seem to think you had a horrible start as a zoo lock.
Either way i have been having a bunch of fun on ladder. If you see me on ladder drop me a "Well Met". XD
Just winstreaked from 8 to 5 with facehunter. It's really good in this meta. Still using the version that was popular two months ago. But with two arcane golem over leeroy. They are better than leeroy I think. Don't plan on going legend this season, but may get there accidentally.
Thanks for the response, but it says there's an error with the link. Anyways, handlock isn't as hard as you think, and control warrior is a 50/50 AT WORST! It has a lot of tools to dal with control warrior, and making 4 patrons on turn 5 is still the best play in game. It also has a maximum of 18 points of reach with grom, taskmaster, deaths bite, inner rage. Dr. Boom makes the deck more resilient as well.
in 3 days, got down from rank8 to rank 14(lose streak). win once per 10 games... very impresive :D probably no chance for legend this season... will play combo druid a little more then change to face hunter :P
100 ranked wins with Shaman, so I'm gonna need some grinding to get golden Thrall!
Still trying to learn Shaman, as I dropped a few games with it (currently at rank 7) due to mismanaging Overload and such. But it's a fun deck that I'm really hoping to eventually master. I like underrated classes :p
You may have better luck in the Shaman threads, though from a glance it looks like you may be lacking some sort of finisher? I feel like aDoomhammer or even aCrackle may go a long way
I managed to finish my golden warlock and reached rank 10 through the process. It was a bit slow progress as the ladder is full of hunters. Now I can play anything I want, today I might try the new mage card which got available. On the long run I might run druid or something new.
After getting to Rank 2 last season (I've run out of time to get to Legend sadly...) with Dragon Priest, this month I'm going for it with Aggro Druid.
The bad thing is, that I had to substitute Shade of Naxxramas, because I'm mostly Free to Play (I bought Blackrock with real money, but that's it...) and I only have 2 levels of Naxxramas (I'm currently grinding gold like crazy, but it will take me the rest of the month most likely to unlock last floor). I'm using Druid of the Flame instead, which is not a perfect substitution for Shades, but Druid really lacks good 3 drops.
The good thing is that the games are so much faster than with Dragon Priest. Turn 5 lethals are incredibly common, especially against aggro decks with no way of dealing with Innervated Fel Reaver. Face Hunters are usually incredibly easy to beat, unless they get two Explosive Traps in the row. Otherwise they are hopelessly outdamaged by Fel Reavers or board flood + Savage Roar. Secret Paladin seems to be slightly in my favor (if they don't curve perfectly...), I mostly win against Midrange Paladin (even after Aldor on Fel Reaver I can often race them before they mill me) and Tempo Mage seems to be really good as well.
I haven't found the reliable way to deal with Control Warriors yet, but I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of figuring out the matchup. With Dragon Priest I went from losing over 70% of the games to them, to being slightly favored (like 55% winrate), and from being hoplessly outclassed by Handlock to crushing them with ease (holding the board, provoking double Moltens and then you drop Lightbomb - works even better against Echo Mage).
The worst matchup along with Control Warrior is Dragon Priest. And sadly, both seem to be quite popular at ranks 10-5 (where I'm now) on EU ladder.
On Thursday, theres the new mini-piloted shredder for Druid that will maybe replace Shade. Might work well for you

Advice? Settle in for some pain. I've been grinding it for the past 2 seasons to get my golden thrall as well. Justsaiyan has played a lot of Shaman this season, so you might want to check out his vods. Never watched him before but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of his stream. Really sharp guy who's a great communicator. From what I remember your list seems pretty similar, except that he was running rag.

playing control or other slow decks are almost impossible :/

Well Met!
Full of autopilot secet pallies.

It is all in good fun... Hopefully.

Hit me up with that list. Going to run Patron from 5-Legend this season. I laddered early, and am at rank 9. I'll be down to 7 or 5 tomorrow.

I tried playing some Eadric pally and freeze mage lately. I'm doing really well with the slower decks.
You are not prepared!

WHY exactly is this thread sticky? I suggest the staff to remove this from front page asap.
