Most of this is conjecture, but having watched a fair amount of Lifecoach over the years I've gotten the impression that first he won a lot more out of poker than $211,000 and that most of his winnings came from private cash games and I'm pretty sure there was a period he grinded online poker for a while too. A few of the things he's said randomly. The famous players are not the best players, you don't even know the names of the best players because they make a point to not be known. In this same stream someone in twitch chat brought up Tom Dwan, who's a big money cash game player on TV a lot, Lifecoach starts laughing and starts saying something like sure, Tom Dwan, I love Tom Dwan he used to be one of my best customers. implying he had won a fair amount off him.
In a recent stream he was multitabling hearthstone and complaining about the game and he said something like this reminds him of poker but at least then he got paid.
So yeah, his cash ins at big events are pretty modest, which is where I think you're getting the $211,000, but that's not the only way to make money in poker.
I'm not familiar enough with evolve shaman to comment on it, but if you're experiencing a pattern where when you get to rank 3 you could tech in more hate cards. like go double ooze double mind control tech. But yeah, I'd advise every three aggro shamans you run into just quit and take a break and avoid tilting back down to 5.
I don't think I had any under the radar picks, like from previous expansions I saw that spirit claws, maelstrom portal, and councilman would all be super sick. But I missed Small time Buccaneer like everyone else. Related to that was if you told me pre-MSOG that Druid would go to the dumpster I wouldn't believe it, but yeah the aggro has gotten too intense for druid to handle. They probably need something like pre-nerf keeper of the grove to have a chance at keeping up. Aside from that I think the biggest surprise is how bad Dragonfire potion turned out to be, pretty much solely because of how ubiquitous azure drake is.
I agree the meta's a little too ridiculous at the moment. As a control player if I have to consider on turn 1 whether or not I have to coin doomsayer because if I wait to play it on 2 it will almost certainly die, then aggro is maybe probably too strong. It's for sure too strong when I have to consider not coining doomsayer, because there's actually a pretty decent chance it dies on their turn 2 anyways and I'll need the coin later. That should only happen if someone's teched in crazed alchemist, which is a thing aggro decks used to have to do, rather than, you know, just playing on curve and having seven damage they can ship on turn 2 at little to no cost.
I tend to mulligan hard for drake and giant. The matchup tends to revolve a bit around whether or not you get your midgame threats and how efficiently the rogue's able to eliminate them. Beyond that it's kinda in the rogues hands I feel, and a lot of the wins are more a result of the rogue's misteps, either going all in too early or over committing to a board you're able to clear, rather than something you can do.
So can it be a good craft also considering possible meta shifts and the fact that in a month(not sure at all) we will have a brand new expansion?
Atm I have 4500 dust and my real doubt is if it worth to complete the Shaman/Rogue with Bloodmage Thalnos in this crazy meta...
You sound like you don't really know what you want to play and you're on budget. I would play it safe and wait until the expansion releases and decide what you want to blow your dust on then.
From a design standpoint how comfortable are they with the power of 1 drops. Are they okay with/why do they keep printing 1 mana cards that can decide games if not immediately answered. I'm thinking Mana Wyrm, old undertaker, tunnel trogg etc. Cards that lead to a fun and interactive game where the opponent concedes turn 2-3.
Instead I've been running into mostly control warrior and anyfin paladin. On the plus side I'm crushing them, on the negative each game is like half an hour. I also beat a druid and 2 rogues. Ironically I lost to the first shaman I faced when I just couldn't draw into an answer for his second thunderbluff that proceeded to solo me, but the other two went to plan and were comfortable wins.
Teched in one ooze for cold blood after running into 5 shamans in a row at rank 1. Gl getting golden with the coolest class
I can vouch for this list I've been running almost the same list and it's pretty good. The only difference is I run a peddler instead of the ooze. I'm rank 3 right, but I'd probably be legend if I didn't play like garbage in my last session and tilted my way down to five before climbing back to 3. So that's the word of warning, if you don't play this deck well you will get rekt.
It depends a lot on your win rate. I Also think a more casual schedule like an hour a day can help some people and hurt others. I think with some people who try and grind out long sessions end up losing more than they should. Tilt, boredom etc. cause bad play. Some people who just play an hour here and there though might suffer because sometimes it can take a few games to get in the groove and make the right decisions and see the correct lines of play. It just kind of depends on how you're wired.
Bottom line though, yes, if you git gud 1-2 hours a day is sufficient to get to legend.
My take on dragon paladin is a little different than most that I've seen. It's built more around swarming the board. It's a little like token druid in that you're able to keep flooding the board from nowhere and eventually you'll run them out of board clears. The 1 of vilefin is mostly meant for late game to get double hero power on the murloc knights or Mukla's chamipion, and I use him over finly because I don't want to give up the 1/1 hero power.
Dragon paladin and miracle rogue so far. Both decks have both done surprisingly well and have been pretty fun. The dragon paladin games can be a little exhausting though.
I am looking forward to trying out the curator. However I have been trying to grind my way to legend before the next wing, just in case beast druid becomes as cancerous as people are fearing and I lose motivation to slog through that meta.
Oooof. Made a misplay during my boss battle. Misclicked and played hound master instead of my highmane, been bouncing around rank 1 for a couple hours. Got to 3 or 4 five star games only to get either bad match ups or facing nut draws. Clawed my way back to 5 stars again. Don't have the heart to be denied again tonight. Hopefully tomorrow I'll break through.

I kinda bought into the idea that it would be a shaman dominated meta so I put this deck together.
