I finished last season on rank 3 4* and thats my 1st month to try get legend(never passed rank 10 before) but i didnt have much time coz of university. This month i will try harder coz i will have more free time. :)
That's why you have to reach Rank 5 in the first 15 days.i learned with the hard way..............
If you can't reach rank 5 in the first 10 days, you are not good enough to reach legend.
This is not the case whatsoever. Not everyone rushes to ladder up as soon as the season starts. I know I don't. Not everyone has hours per day to do so either way. Also, I've seen streamers, decent players, make the run to legend in the latter part of the season. Because they were being casual, or weren't playing near as much. You're good enough if you get to Rank 5 at all, IMO. Getting there quicker obviously helps. But I've been to rank 2, and honestly, the players are no better than those Rank 10-5. It's just who wants it most.
Well, exceptions can exist, of course.
I believe the statement is less an absolute and more of a guideline. Similar to how people say that rank 5 is the halfway point. Personally, I found pre 5 MUCH different from Post 5 and nevermind the win streaks. It's why so many get hit in the 'wall'. Now, the top players (note that legendary is .5% of the population) don't have to worry about the early rush. For most though, I'd say if you don't have the time to push up to rank 5 in half of the month, you probably won't have the time to go to legendary by the end. You may get close.but not hit it.
Days do simply not matter. If you can wrap up 50 games a day you can get to legend in 10 days with a 55% win rate. If you are the type of gamer who plays not every day but big bursts days are irrelevant.
From 5 to legend can be done in a day or two if you actually want. It's all about the number of games + win rate. Nothing else. Cookiecuter "you need to be at rank x" are simply not good answers.
If you need 500 games to get to legend you should seriously evaluate how much time you spend playing this game.

Ok, change of plans. I WAS planning to use chinese priest. It works well and knocks hunters dead.
The issue: I'm not seeing a lot of hunters. I'm seeing a lot of very odd decks, like mech warlock and ..uhh.. do nothing until equality/conc/drake paladin.
If THAT'S what people are going to play then they are just asking for face hunter. Second I start seeing more half decent decks I'll switch out.

LOL. totally agree. you could work 2 full time jobs.
Rank 14 atm. Started rank 18, played a full demon deck with demonfire/demonhearth..a hunter insta killed my 22/22 void terror and malganis hahah... blah blah got to rank 19.
After this I played cancer tempo mage to rank 14. Only one lose.
I can't play for next few days, but i'll go for legend this season.
I'll play controll warrior from rank 7. The classic one mby even with baron and no thaurrisan.
Idk i have almost all viable decks. I want to have fun and play many decks before rank7. I don't want to hurry . I want to be rank 7 at the middle of this season
GL to everone here - as always, even after getting the stupid back, I will gladly hang around a bit and love discuss decks and meta ... This month, as the next ones, will probably see no leg for me as there is a stupid thing called thesis that needs to be finished, but hey, I don't want to get rusty ;)
I am facing 30% Paladins at the moment. Met what seems to be a fun deck with Dragons etc. I enjoy the change of pace from the normal matchups vs Mages and Hunters.
I'm still not really getting why my paladin dragon deck is working, but it is. I'm loving it.
And yeah, still my meta has been all over the place with a lot of odd decks. Some have only worked because they were so odd I didn't see them coming.
Facing ALOT of tempo mage and face hunter at rank 14-13.
Currently playing demon zoo but it's a little bit too slow, I have a 76% win rate so far but too many games have ended with me just winning by a hair! What decks are you guys using to climb the initial ranks? Was thinking about a classic zoo with Kezan teched in but would be interested in what others are using.
I am playing with a fast oil rogue.I am facing a lot of weird decks and ofc a lot of zoo/hunter/mage decks. Yestreday, one of the funniest moments was when i playing against a zoo.He played doomguard and drop jungler and the wolf.i sap him back and 2 turns later he played him again. He dropped a second doomguard and mal'ganis.i emote wp and he emote ty!ofc he lost after that.

The amount of Warriors about atm is making the game very boring. I'm thinking to just concede vs them ... it'll speed things up at least. Nothing worse than holding a warrior for almost 20 minutes, only for them to gain 20+ armor while you run out of cards.
Shameless plug incoming! Play my Death Priest deck! Virtually 100% winrate vs control and not too bad vs aggro. Not for people who want to get through matches quickly, but it feels good to make other people sad (especially facehunters).
I'm still going for golden druid. 100 wins off from my goal. Definitely want to do it this month. Also, last month I ended at R4, maybe legend can also happen.
rank 15, though got my stride. Still for some blasted reason my Dragondin is performing better than other decks, even my hunter. Last season it got me to rank 4. Didn't expect it, but I'm rolling with it.
As far as the meta... wtf. w..t...f... I have warlocks doing mech or murlocs, mages running Majordomo, and hunters that are going so fast face that they are putting every rush deck they can and that's it. Just a lot of odd decks. Great if you like variety. Bad if you want matches to slaughter with.
The only thing close to consistent is hunters going fast and warriors going grim, which is great since it makes easy mulligans and games. Just wish my luck was in. When a Paladin pulls a Chrom and the ONE card they get to grab is Tirion from a 15+ deck, I was almost ready to post in the salt thread.
I'm making ym first real attempt at legend this season. I've decided to try out a 1-2 punch of handlock and control warrior, and might sprinkle a little tempo mage in there every now and then. We will see how it goes. I ended rank 3, 4 stars last season but not enough time to make the full push (I didn't start grinding until there were literally 3 days left). So I'm going all in from day one this season and hope to get even better.
Great Job. Keep pushing at it!

Rank 13 at the moment. Laddering pretty fast with Face Hunter / Demon Handlock
Alterning in-between the two.
Face Hunter : 6 wins, 1 lose
Demon Handlock : 1 win
Used to be a proud Handlock player.
Legend 17 times.
Still flirting with the ladder from times to times with Renolock.

Use my deck. It crushes warriors and controls. A member is currently at rank 9 with my deck.

Have a great deck that's really, really cheap? Help the new players out
Up to Rank 11, facing almost exclusively Hunters and Mages. Only 1 Patron Warrior so far so I've been pretty lucky!
