Yeah, I know the feeling, man. This expansion has almost completely removed any major aspects of skill. Don't get me wrong, you can play well and you can play poorly, but if you're able to get rank 5 games aren't decided by anything other than luck after that. You draw it or they do, and its frustrating as shit because you know there is nothing you can do to change/affect the games. You're just praying RNGeesus smiles on you.

To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of the women.
When your opponent fearlessly plays Lyra the Sunshard against your midrange-control paladin, and somehow you can't draw any of your Truesilvers or Pyromancers nor draw or discover any of your Equalities until the exact moment you had to waste all your AoE because your minions keep getting insta removed and you were constantly under lethal threat.
I think Lyra was in board more than ten turns, and all but two of these, I had no better option than dropping something in hope of it to not get removed (wich it did because thanks to Lyra priest had infinite answers to everything).
No - what's frustrating at any rank is that fact that 90% of your games in any expansion will be against the same decks: ATM it's taunt warrior, pirate warrior, quest rogue, beast hunter, murloc pally. I've been fucking around experimenting with decks at rank 5 all day - running into the exact same sad little cases grinding the same decks they were playing yesterday. I recognise the usernames - oh here's the guy playing hunter who BM when he won 24 hours ago. He's gone nowhere. Neither have I I guess, but I've tried a dozen different things.
can i stop getting cards i mulliganed back in my opening draw. goddamn.
shaman draws the nuts obviously. this is so goddamned unfair. when is it going to be my turn to be insanely lucky like my opponents?
Do you have a whine for every single game you play?
I dont get why Kripps "why am I never lucky" or "I only lose to insane rng" mentality is trending lately.
Because it psychologically distances yourself from accepting the responisibility of losing, or the possibility that someone else could be better than you at something. This is pretty natural and occurs everywhere in any form of competitive activity really. It's not a good characteristic or habit to get into, but we definitely all do it at times.
I've often caught myself muttering "Never-lucky" under my breath when I see the opponent pulling off stupid 1-in-10 pings with an RNG spell / effect, when I struggle to win simple 50-50 targets at times.
I can certainly understand the emotive behind the sentiment - though the reality is that it is also natural to give minimal remembrance to the times we did pull off something crazy-lucky and choose only to acknolwedge when it doesn't work for us.

It's not trending. If you doubt that I run into the most ridiculous bullshit, feel free to add and spectate. I've had legend ranked players spectate and say they wouldn't believe this shit is happening if they weren't seeing it for themselves.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
got a warrior down to 9 health, we're good right? Nah, just give him tar lord, have all my spells help him, keep casting totemic might when i play minions, and then have him cast tree of life.
fuck this brawl. 100% favored for my opponents.

Being legend means absolutely nothing in this game now. I pushed to legend again this season because I had too much time and I love playing Midrange Hunter and Taunt Warriors.
While still at low legend it is fucking unbelievable, how BAD those players are. Two time today I've met people where I still can't believe they did not let their 5yo brain damaged kid play the game for them.
When people who are terrible as fuck are able to reach the highest rank in a game and misplay with decks like Zoolock the game is not a good game. That is what Hearthstone has become. A Casual clusterfuck for braindead Monkeys.
And I found it curious to get legend with a really good winrate. No longer wondering after seeing that people like this are able to get legend.
It's the least enjoyable season of Hearthstone I've had for years. The meta netdecks are too abundant and too efficient.
So bored of facing Pirate Warrior, quest rogue, taunt warrior, beastrattle hunter. I don't know why people bother - they may as well connect their accounts to a bot. There is no skill or fun in grinding those decks - yet that's what most people play. I can't even be bothered messing with decks. - it's just so depressing seeing the bullshit emotes and the BM delay of lethal from yet another carbon copy "meta" deck "pilot". Ben Brode has sunk to a new level of incompetence with this expansion. IF you got your rank playing one of those decks it means nothing. Your "achievement" is even less than nothing. If you emoted at all during the match beyond a greeting at the start, you are a cunt plain and simple. Can't stand it any longer. I'm out for a week. At least I haven't paid money for this shit for at least a year.
Still no autosquelch. Still no penalty for rope abuse. Still no fix for transparently broken decks. Still no way to avoid the shitty sewage flow of those decks coming at you on ladder.
Quest Rogue is everywhere!!! Only at rank 19 and keep running into them and loosing... any good deck ideas? Control priest maybe?
Pretty annoyed with it, that is all.
control priest is probably literally one of the worst decks vs quest rogue. just play an aggro deck and farm them all day. the deck is trash vs aggro
What are you talking about, though unfavoredt control priest has a decent shot at it. Dragonfire potion and patient usage of it is the key to that victory
i play quest rogue a lot on ladder, i've only lost one game to a priest. it's almost a free win. dragon fire potion vs the board, good for you, it's full of 5/5's again the next turn, and half of them are charging. but hey, keep being wrong if you want, that's cool. ;)
I have played my control priest vs. quest rogue enough to know what I'm talking about. As I said: you are unfavored, and need patience. You musn't blow the board up the moment he's got 3 5/5's on board. You need him to swarm his board, blow it up. Make him rebuild his board (using most of his cards), then blow it up again.
The patience is taking that 15/ 20 damage like a man before the nuking the board, instead of panicing and playing DFP immediately on turn 6.
If you use the threaten emote before losing, then immediately try to friend request the person after the game, you just ignored and an eye-roll. Stop getting so salty over a game, especially one with no rewards.
What the fuck is going on in casual right now? Out of 7 games I've played 4 pirate warriors, 2 zoo lock and an inner fire priest. I'm seriously losing my patience with this bullshit, this game isn't even fun anymore. Just a bunch of tryhards trying to win as fast as possible, even in casual. Why even print cards like Explore Un'Goro and Renounce Darkness?
wow so skilled. you ramped into hemet, then drew absolutely perfectly. so skilled.
when it is my turn to be insanely lucky like my opponents. this is so goddamned unfair.

So many golden rogues playing cancer quest. I once had respect for them, as I had for golden warriors. :(
That takes some self-deprecation right there! ;-)
