posted a message on How many packs are you going to open when KOTFT starts?

For people that's opening a lot of packs and paying loads of money, you do know that your chances of winning are still the same like now and before and you'll still get rekt by randomness right? Don't trick yourself into thinking that by opening 200+ packs you'll be able to win more, you'll still get full on rekt +50% of time even with those Death Knight cards and lose. Just trying to state the obvious.

I am getting closer and closer to putting on my tinfoil hat and joining the "matchmaking is rigged" group.

Earlier today I faced a shitload of Pirate Warriors and I thought: "Ok, better tech in golakka crawler."

After I did that I faced a lot of mages, so I thought: "Okay... better get some anti-secret". Nope, no more mages and no more pirates. Hello control decks and murloc paladins. So I just teched in hungry crabs to deal with them, and removed anti-secrets and crawlers.

... back to motherfucking mages and aggro druids.

It's like everytime I try to tech against what I am facing the most, I instantly get punished and ends up with dead cards in my hand.

edit: just took a game without hungry crabs in it (first time in like 10 games or so). Murloc paladin.

I let you know a secret mate. I made a control paladin deck and teched in 2 x eater of secrets, 2 x crabs, 2 x gokla, 2 x doomer sayer and crapped on the meta at rank 2 to 1. I went on a winning streak of 12-0 because the MMR system couldn't process my deck info. That was yesterday.
The deck shits on mid range pally ,secret mage and pirate warriors and to some degree token druid and all othet aggro devks. But weak again other slow and control and valued decks.
Although guess what after that? The MMR started matching my games with all slow decks today like JadeDruid JadeShaman and Dragon control Priest. Decks I have not seen for ages.
Is the MMR system rigged? Thats the question I want to ask you after reading the above. I Reckon there are few blizzard employees that checks the winning to losing reports of decks daily and any decks that have strong winning ratios against the current meta the tweaks are to the MMA algorithms and maybe thats why the nerf sometimes are slow for over powered cards because things can be adjusted on blizzard ends without actually "nerfing" the card. You just getting match with unfavourable matches.
Also, after I went on a 5 games winning streak at rank 2. Mulligan stage became really weird. I would draw 2 x truesilver going 1st or 2 x concretion or 2 x something consistently. And if I. Mulligan a card away I would then redraw the 2nd copy of that card. And this happened in quite a number of games. Weird huh?

Can anyone tell me why the last 10 games I played against Hunter, not consecutively, using midrange pally, every single Hunter drew alley cats on turn 1 followed by Razormaul Hyena and Hound Master?

i just did a tally just then and every single one of them drew exactly as above! How the fuck is that possible?

HOW THE FUCK IS THAT POSSIBLE?! And whe I play Hunter I drew my 3 drops first or Highmanes first.

Matchmaking is so rigged. Make a heavily teched control Shaman with hungry crabs, Golakka crawlers, eater of secrets, ooze etc. Seems like the only deck on ladder right now is curator Paladin, elemental Shaman, and Lyra Priest. 7 out 10 matchups are control decks I struggle with now. So fucking rigged. Brode is a lying CUNT about this. When Blizzard finally admits they've been manipulating matchups based on deck contents I hope somebody actually brings a class action suit against them for misleading business practice. I also hope every fucking moron who has posted "tinfoil hat" "confirmation bias" "if you are being matched to lose someone else wins", etc, has the guts to admit they were wrong. They won't of course. Fucking asshats.

Honest question.  Why would the algorithm choose you to screw over and not the other guy?  So you think it matches ONLY you against bad matchups and let's the other players rank easily?
I believe they manipulate matchups to encourage sales of new expansion cards and as a lazy way to avoid balancing things properly. If the top tier decks were all cards from old expansions sales of the new cards would be slow. So they make sure winrates are good (but not out of hand good) for decks based around the new cards. Then they wave around stats saying "look" 50-55% winrates for the topdecks - but it's all manipulated bullshit.
You can try it for yourself - pick any class and make a deck with 2 crabs, 2 crawlers, 2 ooze, eater of secrets, some taunt, transform or silence, heal, removal, and some sort of late win condition. Will lose to slow/value decks like priest, curator Paladin, quest warrior, probably crystal rogue... but should be strong against murlocadin, pirate warrior decks, hunter and aggro Druid.
Play 20 games - bet you suddenly see a slow control meta with little Aggro to farm.
The match making system is rigged as fuck. There is no doubt about that.
The rigged system is expecially visible after rank 5 on ladder. This way it encourages players to play variety of decks and therefore spending more money on packs.

Anyone that believes the MMR (above rank 5) and Mulligan/Drawing are not rigged is a FOOL.

    1. The Mulligan and Drawing rigging mechanism kicks in after the player goes on a win streak and usually after winning three or so games. I have faced (using agro shaman after winning three games) against a mid-range Murloc Pally, going first, playing Vile Inquisitor (turn 1), Rockpool Hunter (turn 2), Murloc Warleader (turn 3), Murloc Warleader (turn 4), Gentle Mensaor (turn 5). Anyone played Murloc pally before knows if you drew Vile Inquistor into Rockpool into Warleader against other agro/mid-range decks going first its a 90% win rate.

    2. Usually after going on a loss streak, the MMR rigging mechanism kicks in and match you up against with most favorable decks. I have lost 5 games in a row using Murloc Mid-Range Pally and then faced against other easy decks like Miracle Rogue (with very bad draws), Taunt Warrior with no board clears and Aggro/Token druid and I drew all my board clears, taunt and Lightlord for heal.

    3. Playing Hunter Aggro after winning four games, vs Pirate Warrior, I drew nothing but 3+ mana cards in Mulligan stage. Instant lose.

    4. Over the past 50 or so games, I have never faced Taunt Warriors on a consistent basis and 100% out of the matches are when I have had a losing streak.

    5. Switching to Control Pally deck and win a few games then get matched against Quest Rogue. Switched back to Aggro decks, no Quest Rogue queued for the next 20+ games until switched to Control decks again.

There are countless more examples and I think players should wake up to this charade instead of blaming everything on "random" and bad luck. There is nothing random about this game at least not above Rank 5.

Welcome to Casual. Casual is a happy place without any meta-decks and where people gather for the sole purpose of fun. Non-meta decks you'll encounter here are:

    • Pirate Warrior
    • Pirate Warrior
    • Quest Rogue

    And ofcourse,

    • Pirate Warrior.
     This shit cracks me up.
I've just had a couple of casual game and encountered a Quest Warrior and a Mid-Range Aggro Hunter. Casual. Yes.

posted a message on First turn advantage? Is The Coin becoming less valuable?

Depends on games, if Aggro vs Aggro then it is usually based on who drew the better hands, if all else are equal, the player going first will always  curve out and trade better than the opponent and eventually win the game.

My last 4 games were with Quest Priest ..... so 4 games in a row, 4-5 cards left in the deck - 0  times drawing N'Zoth during the ALL 4 games. I thought I have forgotten to put him in, lol. I even checked :D - and ye - he was there,of course......

Or drawing him too early in the opening hand against an aggro deck. Everyone has similar experience. The drawing mech is not purely random it is influence  by something I dont quite know what exactly.

This is it. This is the game that topped everything.

Let's play some dragon priest, quest rogue, quest rogue, 0-2. Finally this. 1x SW:P, countered?

I was rank 11, 3 stars. Now I am rank 14, 2 stars. There is literally nothing as discouraging as slowly having to watch as you degrade further and further game after game. Because somehow I manage to pull off a winrate of 20% or something. I feel like the worst HS player ever. And also somehow feel the need to keep complaining about it here. I did not even concede here. I just quit. I'm just gonna quit HS for today. Who knows forever if this goes on. If I can't even make it to rank 10 each month. Then this game feels so meaningless and punishing. If I play tomorrow, I am certain I'll end up at rank 15. Regardless of the decks I play.

I wouldn't get tilted over something like that. Your opponent drew perfectly and was running a tempo mage deck. There is nothing you can do since you are running a slower dragon priest deck and didn't draw Pain for the opening hand. Everybody experience something that like on the receiving side.
Like the others said, don't switch decks when you lose 2 or 3 games stick to 1 deck and surely you'll climb better.
