No. I have not played the past expansion, nearly anything. I am maybe level 20 I don't remember. I uninstalled HS after Diablo Immortal. I was so pissed off with Blizzard for how bad this game went and how they have treated Diablo that I closed everything. I went in this website to check the new expansion, and it is not anything amazing for me (same stupid reprints). I did the subscription with Google Stadia. It is amazing for me (for less than 50 bucks I purchased Red Dead Redemption 2 and Cyberpunk 2077) I will never play anything from Blizzard again.
ouch ! but understandable, this is my final year in HS as well
problem with HS also is, if you stop playing for 6 months, you're almost unable to catch up with expansions, missing so many cards and missing all the gold. at that point as a F4P player it's already too late, and might as well just uninstall and move on ...
I am definitely excited what the expansion brings. I kind of quit the game at the DH launch back in AoO (this experience absolutely destroyed the game for me) and very rarely played Scholomance and Darkmoon. After that I quit completely and only came back shortly after the sunken city release.
I am honest, I really enjoy playing the game again almost daily. Even though the new archetypes don't seem that exciting right now and I am kind of scared by Druid's power, I look forward to the new meta shift and play some new cool decks that will rise.

Yes. I am a Mac user and I have had always the issue in playing games. Now, with cloud gaming, I can easily play Triple A games with my Mac, and Google Stadia is working great. Blizzard is doing shit and I see this company as the hell. I don't see why I should play mediocre games and pay 50 bucks for some stupid reprints when I can play all the Triple A games easily. So, there is no future for me with Blizzard. For me, Blizzard can search the whales with Diablo Immortal, I am done with this crap.
I mean its always the same the first two weeks its fun, then the meta Decks take its place, balance changes and then Mini Set. And then its Dezember and the next expansion is incoming
At first I wasn't. There weren't really any deck themes that looked fun. That changed with these theorycraft streams, though. I've watched Regis and Zeddy and token druid, totem shaman, imp warlock and volatile skeleton mage all look much more fun than I thought they would.
Why waste time with the lower Echelon of players like Regis and Zeddy ?
If you watched Thijs or Trump, you'd know how dumb Kael'thas Druid will be, up until the inevitable Emergency nerf.
Correct, they don't. They feel like a portable hero power (best example Metamorphosis and Yoink!). Or a dormant minion with an end of turn effect, except manual. They don't feel different enough and their effects are effects we have seen before: trigger deathrattle, buff, freeze, etc. I don't think a portable hero power or a new C'Thun with lifesteal are enough to refresh a game I have been playing for 7 years.

My 'final year' was 2018, I stopped playing not too much after Ben Brode left, not because of him but because of the general direction the game was going. I enjoyed Wild back then, new expansions felt underwhelming, Standard was very low powered and boring in general, old classics were getting nerfed over and over or moved to wild, the game had no clear direction.
Now I'm back. I had some old stuff and a bunch of gold so I wasn't really starting 'from scratch' but mostly so, I'm back in the game in under two months and feeling as good about the state of the game as I was around K&C, possibly better. The reason is that most cards actually become irrelevant anyway even for Wild, so the game hard resets every six months or so. I'm not saying starting from zero is the same as having an old account, but leaving and then coming back to a new Standard won't make such a drastic difference in terms of resources compared to just staying through it.
I mean there is an adjustment period where you just play Arena and farm those commons and rares that you need, or Wild for some more gold for the miniset (and more Arenas) but other than that I won't say that coming back now felt worse than starting back in 2014, much easier anyway with a good collection to build upon even when you lack new Standard stuff.

They do deserve a massive slap for Diablo Immortal, and I really hope they've got all the mobile gouging shite out of their system so that D4 has a faint glimmer of hope of being an actual game.
HS is still pretty cool though, don't torpedo your HS account just yet because you're pissed with Blizz.
This expansion will have more disruption available than any other, VERY excited for that. We might actually see something close to an anti-meta deck being decent for real (one can dream right?).

Why are you still posting here in a forum for the game? To make it less fun for other people still playing it?

if meta wont change they will enforce some nerfs to re-balance

yes, i am also very excited for this

Not really. Most cards feel like reprints, and new mechanics don't feel different enough.
I have high hopes but low expectations.
Because trump is one of the most boring people on the planet to listen to
Uhhhh have you seen secret rogue and hunter lol
Somehow, locations don’t feel different enough.

I am super hyped and will get back to rankeds.

worst than sicken city i would say, zero efficient kit cards
I am always excited about a new expansion, but the way I see it this expansion is gonna get dull fast once it launches .
