I decided to spice up my gameplay and not play full-meta decks in Wild. I know it's not the most competitive approach to get to high ranks and that stuff, but I'm on Hearthstone to have fun rather than to compete, so that's why I came with this idea.
I decided to build a Google Sheet file to randomize different archetypes, as shown below:
First column: archetypes; Second column: class; Third column: Every possible combination (with custom formula)
Some combinations are meta like "Pirate Warrior" or "Handbuff Paladin", but others are crazy like "Elemental Demon Hunter", but that's the fun part: trying to build a deck and play it to experience renewed originality in the game.
Can you give more examples for the Archetype column guys? The more, the merrier.
Wouldn't it be way more fun to combine 2 archetypes together regardless of the class, rather than having as many archetypes as possible for all classes.
Especially since many fun archetypes are class exclusive. (basically any archetype that includes a build-around class card)
In my experience it's more fun to play 2 games with Reno-Quest warlock than 1 game with classic reno warlock and 1 game with classic quest warlock. Same with Spell-C'thun mage or Quest-Odd druid or Handbuff-Secret paladin or Deathrattle-Dragon rogue or pretty much everything.
And I understand that most of these wouldn't work in other classes, but then again crafting Silence Demon Hunter or Freeze Warlock would be a fun challenge
But if you want a serious answer, add in Spiteful, that's a cool archetype
Hey guys,
I decided to spice up my gameplay and not play full-meta decks in Wild. I know it's not the most competitive approach to get to high ranks and that stuff, but I'm on Hearthstone to have fun rather than to compete, so that's why I came with this idea.

Thank you guys!
I just added "Quest" and "Control"
Tempo (focuses on fairly aggressive board presence, not the same as Aggro, which is damage by any means)
Burn (focuses on direct damage)
Zoo (mostly minions with battlecries or aura, very few or no spells)
Midrange (on-curve plays with more emphasis on value than a Tempo deck would have)
No-Minion
I would change "Reno" to "Singleton" (or "Highlander," if you must) since Reno is not the only card to use that restriction.
"Why, you never expected justice from a company, did you? They have neither a soul to lose nor a body to kick." -- Lady Saba Holland
Mecha'Thun

gotta have "Mill" and "Mechathun"
Mecha'thun as already mentioned, but aslo 'Togwaggle', 'Questline'....
Great idea, but if you want to truly have a complete random experience, I suggest adding more niche archetypes.
Heartpwn deckbuilder has an archetype categories and each class has like 20+ archetypes.
This is Priest for example
Aggro, Big, Combo, Control, Clone, Corrupted, C'thun, Deathrattle, Dragon, Galakrond, Highlander, Mecha'tun, Moonfang, Murloc, N'zoth, OTK, Quest, Reno, Ressurect, Silence, Shadow, Spell, Spiteful, Thief, Watchpost, Zoo
And I understand that most of these wouldn't work in other classes, but then again crafting Silence Demon Hunter or Freeze Warlock would be a fun challenge

Most of the ideas have been mentioned already. Here are some which I thought of:
All I could think of for now, let me know how it goes!
Moorabi Freeze Shaman
EU 11/2015+ , f2p 03/2021+: DK 63 / DH 205 /Dr 277 / Hu 733 / Ma 6666 / Pa 1072 / Pr 1165 / Ro 1791 / Sh 1303 / Wl 707 / Wr 664
Great idea. I also happen to play by following similar principles. In addition to the suggestions already given I would also recommend:
- decks by rarity (only common, only epic, only rare)
- decks without class cards
- decks without neutrals
- decks of only one expansion or precise combinations between several expansions
- decks without spells
- archetypes based on keywords
- archetypes based on cards that limit deck building (e.g. keleseth)
- full rng decks
- Otk unlikely (eg leeroy Otk priest)
Sorry for my broken english.
