I think playing Dirty Rat was the right play, which pulled the Expired Merchant which was a good result, but next turn they just had another Expired Merchant and Hand of Gul'dan in hand, which rapidly snowballed to me taking 40 face by turn 4.
Well this is just something that is acceptable to happen in wild. That is what the format is ment to be. So you cold probably not do too much to win this game with that opening draw, so take the loss and queue into another game.

this is more what I was asking.. if I was overlooking something or was just SoL from that draw
Seems more like masked complaining. Pretty sure you know there are no turn 2 board clears or anything that can be done that early in game when they have that kind of start. May next next RNG be ever in your favor.

Its not like the board is not doable. I just don't understand what it is he wants to hear? A slow greedy deck vs aggro and this is going to happen
Turn 1 10/10 is a little bit beyond "aggro".
I wouldn't consider the deck I was using "greedy" at all.. more mid and has tons of tech in it.. and it could have been a bit more controllable if not for the Hand of Gul'dan that got discarded on turn 3.. and it pretty much snowballed after that. They had their 2nd Wicked Whispers, which triggered another Hand of Gul'dan, and by then there were a bunch of 4/3s on the board.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't grumpy about it, but its much less a complaint than genuine wondering if there's like some obscure card out there I'm overlooking that could have made the situation more manageable.
Nothing based on his followup. But I think your best out there would be if you had Runed Orb in hand (not sure if you play it) to take out a 3/2 and fish for Flame Ward. You take 9 damage, but maybe have a chance to stabilize while he rebuilds. Volcanic Potion would be a decent discover, too, though you're dead if he finds another +1/+1 buff.
But fishing for discover options isn't really viable in wild given how many spells are in the pool, so you're just boned 99.9% of the time when he draws the nuts like that.

As others have said already, it is your fault for not playing around it. :P

I am a little confused. How did the board state in your image rapidly snowball into 40 damage on turn 4? They have 1 card in hand. They need to trade off at least two or more minions into your Rat to get past it (assuming they didn't have a God-draw minion removal as their last card. Your turn on turn 3 would have removed another minion with your hero power.
Alternatively, you play Wildfire and ping. And then you play the minion that deals your HP to all enemies (I believe it is 4-cost so should work out fine here).
I'm actually over 60% with it and most games go the distance because its very controlly. Those two defenders you see were just a bad mulligan.
Point was, no manner of 2 drops could have dealt with that warlock opener (unless, as someone suggested, I used Explosive Sheep, but that would be counter-productive to this deck 90% of the time).

sooo.. anything I could've done here?

Have a board clear
wow.. someone actually upvoted that...
ok.. is there a turn 2, 2 mana board clear that an Even Mage would have access to that I'm missing?
You could always play another deck

Have you tried putting good cards in your deck?
at least 6 people seem to think there is
LMAO!!! People saying things like: Change your deck, have a board clear like It's so easy to face a 10/10 board in turn 1 hahaha

Perhaps explosive sheep could be one since your hero power costs 1
that'd still be a turn 3 thing, but yes, thank you, that's more what I'm looking for
No reason to tech bad cards just to have an answer to a highroll. It just happens, they had the god hand, move on.

What is Even Mage supposed to accomplish in Wild?
You have 6 mana cards in your hand. Games don't go on that long.
