You're mistaken if you think you're one of the "normal people" while asking for default squelch and comparing your hurt feelings to a "shotgun wound".
Hurt feelings? Who's projecting that? That's like saying if I'm annoyed by someone spamming messages to me or constant junk email for example, it means my "feelings are hurt" by it. The emote system in the game is used only for trolling, BMing and spamming 99%, of the time.
Blizzard wil never autosquelch as it is a marketing mechanic devised to please the target audience: the mindless aggressive face is the place/otk types who see it as part of the 'fun' exp. to emote and BM. Repulsive. reprehensble, abhorrant. Morally corrupt, ethical invalids for whom the right thing is to create toxicity as a marketing strategy.
Hahaha oh my... I will admit, spam emoting, and discouraging emotes are aggravating, but this is one heck of a leap. I automatically assume I've just lost to an annoying 11 year old, but this is quite a presumption of character.
This seems to be the way of things now... if someone does, or thinks something you don't like, they are worse than Hitler. Like people should be immune to annoyances. I guess Hearthstone isn't a good "safe space" for you.
This comment has zero substance. Save spaces aren't the issue here. Doing the right thing is. Not that it is of any concern for the fanboy whose key mission statement is: adore don't think.
remove emotes, set turn limit to 30secs max - it's as easy as that.
sick and tired of so called "people" apparently "playing" the game on their phones while taking a dump
Between the hours of 8am and 5pm EST, almost 100% of my playing time is taking place while I am dropping the kids off at the pool.
Not that that information has any real bearing here.
I'd be fine with removing emotes. I'm fine with them too, though. It's a "meh" issue for me. However, I disagree wholeheartedly with the 30 second max turn time. Doesn't matter if you are playing on a phone, tablet, desktop or laptop, that is not enough time to calculate all of your moves, some of the math involved, etc, especially in more complex decks. I hate ropers as much as the next guy, but 30 second limits is not the way.
Problem is that most roping players I meet do that on purpose, not because they need time to figure out their turn. Maybe they could do like MtGA where you can gain some "time bank" for future turns as long as you're playing fast enough early on.
Anyway I'm off-topic.. I'm all for an auto-squelch option too. Hopefully they'll do it someday !
I support this 100%. And the childish attacks at your post are clearly from the same children who threaten or say something cocky during the match. Who needs it.
And to the greetings anger guy... yes I greet then squelch... but who do we hurt if we can just auto squelch. Its really more about when you forget and the fool across the board gets irritating that we want this feature. It's not about the clicks.
The OP was making a small joke about the wounding with a little humor tactic called... exaggeration. Sorry if you didn't catch that kids.
This feature would make the game better for those of us who don't like emotes. Thats it, thats all.
While i probably wouldn't use this, i see absolutely nothing wrong with this suggestion. I have trouble understanding people who would be against it since it's optional and would only provide a marginal benefit
So am I the only one who greets my opponent out of pure friendliness?
idk when you started playing but it used to be much worse. People used to go out of their way to send you a friend request just to shit talk. Also, there used to be a sorry emote, and heroes saying sorry actually sounded sarcastic so for example - A mage would flame strike my board and then say "I'm sorry"
man, I dont understand when people say Hearthstone community is toxic.
I gotta say, HS community is the most helpful, most mature and most kind community compared to other games that have average player age of 10, like gta or fortnite.
when I ask my friends that I met from the game something, they always help, and they are always kind. out of all games that I've played, I get good wishes and good words the most from hearthstone players. of course there are a few rotten apples every now and then, but thats inevitable, every game or community has those.
Once again this bullshit seriously, getting triggered by some stupid emotes fkn too much ego.

That's what I use them for :)
I wonder how on earth you found and replied to this post from 2019!
