Seriously - wtf were blizzard thinking when they brought back that stupid card along with Thaurassian. Anyone with half a thought could see that it was a stupid idea and would result in insanely un-fun games (arguably more un-fun than the evolve shennanigans in Shaman). That mage deck was bad enough with those two cards.
Picture the scene - Me Finished my turn 9, 30 health a 1/1, 3/10 taunt and 6/6 on board. He has a silenced 5/3 Tharassian (who just ticked once) and it's about to start his turn 10. Flamewanker gets dropped followed by some 1 mana draw cards (he's searching for apprentice). Cue a solitary apprentice and a hundered million fuckin spells - dead and board cleard - he has 2 mana left and a full hand of spells...Thaurassian didn't even need to attack.
That's 47 damage from hand from on turn 10. Balanced fair and fun - good job blizz! Do they even think about how the cards impact the game?
p.s. If you're thinking about posting a link to the salt thread, instead go eat a cookie and congratulate yourself on how witty and smart you are.
p.p.s. he must have had a really good gaming chair...
Cards that do powerful or interesting things in the late game in specific situations with a little luck have no place in these games. Predictable vanilla minions only please!
Would a 10 mana card that said "Battlecry: Toss a coin. Heads win the game, Tails lose it" be interesting? It's a powerful, late game card and with a little luck can be game winning. To balance it we could make it a 1/1....
/s
p.s. given the cards we've seen Blizz print in the past I'm not entirely sure they wouldn't make such a card....
I hate when Mages get a good Flamewanker turn off OP, but your scenario doesn’t sound like you were playing one of the decks that usually kills a Mage well before turn 10.

Sounds like you lost one game... I haven't even seen a Flamewalker Cyclone Mage anywhere on ladder below rank 15...
What the heck are you guys talking about? There is no such card as "Flamewalker."

No, that card would not be interesting, and would be powerful in EVERY situation.
First, it's Flamewaker, not Flamewalker.
Second, if you know it's pure salt, fucking post it in the right place.

Somone got out of bed on the wrong side - you have a cookie too!
I originally had him as flamewanker which everyone know is his true name....
Nobody plays that deck, stop complaining about non issues.
Shaman and evolve exists and you complain about flamewaker???!
Lol what rank you playing at my guy? The deck isn't that good and nobody plays it past rank 5

A .gif is worth a thousand words.
Jesus... What the hell happened to you FortyDust? Why are you so mad lately? :/
Honestly, this card is fine, but N'zoth(fuck priest and rogue) and evolve I truly hate.
XD
Not only that, but even the people who play it have figured out Emperor is bad in the deck.
OP must be at the super scrub ranks.
