Let's talk about Blackjack Stunner. If your opponent EVER makes the mistake of playing a 9 or 10 Mana Minon, 1 Mana to negate your opponent's entire turn, return the 9/10 mana minion back to your opponent's hand, possibly make them overdraw, and make that minion unplayable for the entire rest of the game because it's now 11 or 12 mana. Who the fuck designed this card?
RIGHT?! A copy of Sap on a minion (1 drop btw) is already op but making the sapped card cost 2 more is just ABSURD. What in fuck were they thinking... ._. Like seriously. Atleast get rid of the freezing trap effect come on. Nerf that shit rn blizz
Somehow the very same deck I had steamrolling til Diamond 6 is getting for three days in a row nothing but hard losses, back to 10...
It's kind of a shame, I was getting interested in ladder again.
You're not alone, brother. The first 3 times I actually went for legend I got to rank 1 + 5 stars then slid all the way back down to rank 5 losing 20-25 games in a row. I just quit going for Legend after that. It stops being "bad luck" the moment it develops into a pattern. Every month for years I effortlessly climbed the ladder, got to the top of whatever bracket I was in, just to have the ladder kicked out from under me. This expansion has been fairly fun to play, however, because there *WAS* at least diversity in archetypes. On that note...
I built a deck that was strong to almost everything prevalent in the meta. I faced a super diverse set of matchups against every class and maintained above 80% win rate, climbing from bronze to diamond in 3 days. However, my queue times started getting longer and longer the deeper I got into diamond -- up to 10 minutes at Diamond 6. Does the game really need 10 minutes to find me someone to play at that rank? No. It doesn't. Ironically, as soon as I faced off against a deck that was clearly my hard counter, those super long queue times stopped IMMEDIATELY and now 50% of all my matchups are against that archetype. The end result is always the same. You can draw your own conclusions.
To be fair I used to think everyone exaggerated over the match making but there definitely is some shitty patterns. I notice even time I log on or switch to a new deck the first deck it puts me against is a mirror. It happens way too often just to be chance, almost predictable. I can’t stand mirror matches either so sometimes it’s hard the negative impact of me just logging off in disgust afterwards.

I just came back to HS after months playing only Chess and Poker and I hit legend for the first time. It took me about 120 wins total to get there. I'll share my experience. When you get past D5, the competition gets tough. Your opponents aren't dicking around with homebrew and meme decks anymore; they are actively pushing for legend with the most refined decklists available. They are competent and won't make a lot of major errors. They are knowledgeable and will be deeply familiar with their own deck and the matchups it has against other prevalent archetypes. And they'll be laser focused because, at those ranks, every single game matters.
So, you need to be on your A-game to ladder against them and that's where I think you struggle. Like....a 20 game losing streak? If you're playing a good deck and you're making good decisions you should NEVER lose 20 games in a row in HS. Even 10 games in a row would be a huge stretch. Speaking as somebody who went on a 5 game losing streak immediately after my first loss to my final boss, it can be very tilting. But you have to be able to take a break and regroup. You can't play in that state of mind because your errors compound and you lose ranks unnecessarily and that's REALLY hard to recover from.
Really NEVER? Heard of bad luck? No whats the chance for it to happen 20 timesin a row? Slim yes but possibile. Someone wins in lottery aswell even odds are small as hell.

You know what's funny? I faced the same bullshit over and over again. This year I wanted to get Legend for the first time. So, I play an old version of Highlander-Mage and went to Diamond 10 and then Diamond 5. Now, the bullshit starts.
I went up the ranks and down the ranks from Diamond 4 to Diamond 2 to Diamond 5 again. Again and again. And it always felt like when I was doing good I faced Face-Hunter which has an almost 100% win rate against Highlander-Mage. It was ridiculous believe me! After that, I wanted to play decks from hearthpwn like big druid, minionless mage, face-hunter, demon hunter. But I never got to legend. One time it was close and I got to rank 1 and then faced 2 hunters in a row and 2 galakrond rogue and lost again.
I thought to myself lets built this op-rogue deck and gutted the old card for dust. I won some games and then I lost 6 games in a row to stealth-rogue, spell-druid, demon hunter, mirror matches and went to Diamond 5 again. Until this point you could think this matchmaking is rigged but then it hit me like rock: -Play the deck you like the most -Don't craft top tier decks, matchmaking will f*** you -People are going to tech against top tier decks and it will crush your soul
I'm going to continue to play highlander mage because you can bullshit the opponents yourself from time to time and that gives me joy!
The priest class was apparently reworked recently. What was the objective? To make the class even more simple to play, entirely reliant on reborn and resurrection, and even more boring to play against?
If so, job well done. I dont understand why anyone would want to play the class.
Too much card generation has ruined arena. I'm done. Just try playing against a priest and get destroyed by cards they didn't even draft. If you try to go wide with small minions, no problem, randomly generated soul mirror will handle that for you. Oh you learned your lesson so instead of playing into more board clears you go with one large minion. No problem! Let me just "skillfully" play this randomly created mind control. Oh so you are just going to give up on the board and go face? No problem, i'll just use my randomly created lifesteal buffs or chain together my renews that randomly generate more renews.
Do the game designers actually think this is good/fun game design? Maybe it's fun for the guy randomly pulling cards out of his butt on his way to an easy victory, but its soul crushing for the loser to lose this way. How about just for one expansion we try toning down this RNG and see how that plays out. Wins would be more meaningful and losses wouldn't be so damn demoralizing.
I am surprised that Rogue hasn't had a single nerf. The class has amazing card draw, amazing secrets, amazing utility (i.e. Blackjack!), amazing legendaries, amazing spells and seemingly endless hordes of lackeys (and is criminally faceroll to play).
Then you have Shaman...which, unlike previous expansions, has nothing going for it.
If I found out one of my friends was laddering with Demon Hunter right now, I'm seriously considering unfriending. What a toxic class and what a toxic place ranked is because of it.
Team 5 needs to drastically reduce the chance of priest getting mind control in arena. It is ridiculous, they always have it and arena is not like what it was a few years ago. You cannot afford to play around it as you need to contest the board. 4 times today I lost my collosus to mind control and that is just today.
I just played a battlegrounds game that tke 22 turns and still LOST. The stupid Great Akazamzarak that got 6 I REPEAT 6 ICE BLOCKS IN A ROW what's the freaking odds on that..... That gave him enough time to scale up Razargore and Kalecgos and get a Nadine....
Renew has got to be the stupidest most redundant card in the history of hearthstone. Didn't priest have enough fucking heals already?? Why not just letpriest start the game with fucking 70 HPs already ffs. Renew generated by Renew generated by Renew into Radiance(generated by guess fucking what). On top of Karthut, Sandhoof-whatsitcalled and the hero power. Fuck priest.

Fuck Zephrys the Great. I hate that card!!!
Whoever thought to add demonhunter as a class I HOPE YOU GOT FUCKING FIRED
Really NEVER? Heard of bad luck? No whats the chance for it to happen 20 timesin a row? Slim yes but possibile. Someone wins in lottery aswell even odds are small as hell.
Why do you insufferable cunts play aggro meta decks in casual?

This rogue I just faced had the best opening hand possible. Here's a screenshot

Dude what's wrong with matchmaking? I play Quest Druid and Resu Priest (just because of DHs), this is the list of my latest games:
Quest Druid vs Demon Hunter
Resu Priest vs Resu Priest
Resu Priest vs Resu Priest
Resu Priest vs Resu Priest
Quest Druid vs Demon Hunter
Seriously WTF??? after that the game expelled me to put me in queue. Thank you Blizzard I'm done.
Was playing vs Shaman, he has a 1/1 lackey and drops a Mana Tide Totem, I use my stupid fucking not so great Zephrys the Great and he gives me Flame Imp Twilight Drake and Mortal Coil.. I fucking played my Zephrys turn 3 just to get a fucking Holy Smite and kill the fucking Mana Tide Totem and he does this shit. Next turn there were 2x 2/7 Mana Tide Totem. This was in Diamond Rank 1, 2 stars.

My daily reminder that rogue need a huge nerf bat.
It's just cringy at this point how this class does everything while having massive draws with nearly close immune to fatigue or doesn't care.
I will say it again, galakrond rogue power should switch with priest.
The best scenario would be to rework it since it's overpowered but it won't happen.
Ps: I'm quitting again t'ill rogue get nerfed
You were gonna lose anyway because you were playing shaman.
