ONE game from Rank 5 Diamond I immediately queued into the greatest Hearthstone players in the world. For 5 straight games my opponents started just getting best possible starting hands, perfect answers to every single thing I played on curve, INSANE RNG -- at 16 health with lethal on board (including two FAT taunts), my mage opponent played Puzzle Box with an empty board, completely cleared my board, Animal Companion > Huffer > Power Infusion (+2/+6) > Pyroblast to me in the face. Exact lethal. The level of skill is just amazing. I'm so happy to be playing at a level with such skilled players!
Hey does anyone know rogues “identity”? Clown fiesta. Hey does anyone know mages “identity”? Clown fiesta. Hey does anyone know priests “identity?” Clown fiesta. Sure feels great when my opponent does nothing the whole game. Doesn’t fight for the board. Doesn’t play a card for the first 5 turns. Doesn’t think at all but oh I play this card that plays randomly generated cards effects and it never everrrrrrrrrrr hurts me. In fact it gives me secrets from other classes. It clears the board for me. Gives me mana ramp. And if draws me cards! Wow! The skill is so off the charts! And you know the highlander scum with their perfect curve. And rogues never ending lackey generation that gives them the PERFECT lacky. EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME. Wow Bli$$ard how me get so smart like yu and develop such smart game? It’s funny a deck can never just be good. Galakrond Shaman was a GOOD deck. Demon hunter was a GOOD deck. But what’s that? Those decks take some thought? What do you mean those decks don’t discover? What do you mean those decks don’t do nothing but sack the opponent. Oh hell no fam we need to nerf that cancerous skill less trash! No skill in our “modern” skill stone oh no no no!
If that card didnt exist I'd be Legend. It always gives them the perfect answer. FUCK MAGE FUCK RENO FUCK THE DEVS FUCK ALL YOU LUCKY ASS LEGEND PLAYERS FUCK YOU ALL

Im SICK of Alexstrasza and her fucking drag-queen version, everyone just randomly generates her and fuck me over, because 15 unavoidable charge damage is balanced, right?
Let's talk about Blackjack Stunner. If your opponent EVER makes the mistake of playing a 9 or 10 Mana Minon, 1 Mana to negate your opponent's entire turn, return the 9/10 mana minion back to your opponent's hand, possibly make them overdraw, and make that minion unplayable for the entire rest of the game because it's now 11 or 12 mana. Who the fuck designed this card?
Jeez. Secret mage I can handle, in fact I win pretty much 90% of times. But that abomination of Time Warp insta kills all the fun all the time.
Plus, the nerf of course did jackshit in terms of holding that monster at bay. I'd actually say its almost a buff because you have even less of a risk of overdrawing.

HOW IN GODS BUTTFUCKING GRACE DID BLIZZ THINK THIS ALTRUIS NERF WOULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE?? THIS PIECE OF SHIT IS STILL SO FUCKIN BROKEN AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I STILL LOSE TO FUCKIN ALTRUIS EVERY. FUCKING. GOD. DAMN, TIME!!
This is ridiculous!! WHO THE FUCK CARES IF IT WAS NERFED TO 4 MANA WHEN EVERYTHING ELSE IN DH COST NOTHING?? This retarded card can still easily deal 5+ dmg in a turn while cleaning my board, worst design in HS history!
Whoever made this shit needs to get the eyes gouged and forced to EAT THEM.

Stunner almost singlehandly killed Big Druid. Very oppressive for sure.

Seriously. This entire deck is stupid. Stealth minions that can't be targeted, endless lackeys,, "choose your OP legendary" cards, they draw 7 cards that cost 0 mana between Togwaggle and Galakrond. Now, secrets that draw EVEN MORE cards and synergize amazingly with a 1 mana Blackjack Stunner that effortlessly removes any 9/10 mana minion permanently while simultaneously developing a minion and clogging the opponent's hand. Oh, and let's not forget they can STILL casually develop a 16/16 Edwin on any given turn. THIS bullshit is the reason why Hearthstone is so polarizing -- and I'm not even saying it's bullshit because I'm salty. I know it's bullshit because I tried it out myself just to see how bullshit it is and it broke my bullshitometer.
Somehow the very same deck I had steamrolling til Diamond 6 is getting for three days in a row nothing but hard losses, back to 10...
It's kind of a shame, I was getting interested in ladder again.
You're not alone, brother. The first 3 times I actually went for legend I got to rank 1 + 5 stars then slid all the way back down to rank 5 losing 20-25 games in a row. I just quit going for Legend after that. It stops being "bad luck" the moment it develops into a pattern. Every month for years I effortlessly climbed the ladder, got to the top of whatever bracket I was in, just to have the ladder kicked out from under me. This expansion has been fairly fun to play, however, because there *WAS* at least diversity in archetypes. On that note...
I built a deck that was strong to almost everything prevalent in the meta. I faced a super diverse set of matchups against every class and maintained above 80% win rate, climbing from bronze to diamond in 3 days. However, my queue times started getting longer and longer the deeper I got into diamond -- up to 10 minutes at Diamond 6. Does the game really need 10 minutes to find me someone to play at that rank? No. It doesn't. Ironically, as soon as I faced off against a deck that was clearly my hard counter, those super long queue times stopped IMMEDIATELY and now 50% of all my matchups are against that archetype. The end result is always the same. You can draw your own conclusions.

I just came back to HS after months playing only Chess and Poker and I hit legend for the first time. It took me about 120 wins total to get there. I'll share my experience. When you get past D5, the competition gets tough. Your opponents aren't dicking around with homebrew and meme decks anymore; they are actively pushing for legend with the most refined decklists available. They are competent and won't make a lot of major errors. They are knowledgeable and will be deeply familiar with their own deck and the matchups it has against other prevalent archetypes. And they'll be laser focused because, at those ranks, every single game matters.
So, you need to be on your A-game to ladder against them and that's where I think you struggle. Like....a 20 game losing streak? If you're playing a good deck and you're making good decisions you should NEVER lose 20 games in a row in HS. Even 10 games in a row would be a huge stretch. Speaking as somebody who went on a 5 game losing streak immediately after my first loss to my final boss, it can be very tilting. But you have to be able to take a break and regroup. You can't play in that state of mind because your errors compound and you lose ranks unnecessarily and that's REALLY hard to recover from.

I would be inclined to agree with you if my AVERAGE game during my "tilting" was actually an average game and didn't consist of EITHER of these EXACT scenarios:
1. Vs Aggro matchups where I draw ONLY the bottom 7 cards in my deck for the first 3 turns ensuring I have nothing playable at all while my opponent steam rolls the board. I mulligan the entire hand, and the same exact hand comes right back to me like they didn't even get shuffled. Amazing how frequently this happens to me.
2. Trollden Highlight reels. Even when I'm in positions where it's 99%+ odds for me to win, I still lose to things like Puzzle Box > Huffer from Animal Companion > Power Infusion on Huffer for a 6 attack charger > Pyroblast to my face when I have 16 health. I should have played around that by being at 17 health, right? That literally happened yesterday on the 5th loss in a row. Among those 5 games were a hunter with an empty hand who top decked Nagrand Slam and ALL hits went to my face. Another one against a mage who literally got 5 "random" copies of Frost Nova over the course of the game to effectively lock me out of the game completely. The list goes on.
During my "normal" play time on ladder (which is almost exclusively Rank 5-Legend play) every one of those wins is hard fought and probably half the games are close. But eventually, the bullshit ensues. I have friends that spectate me during the slides just because they're amazed at how awful my luck is and it's entertaining to them. Like I said, it ceases to be luck when it becomes a pattern. I can only speak from my experience. Who knows, maybe one of my gripes on the salty forum made someone at Blizzard turn my RNG levels to the lowest possible setting. I have no idea what they can or can't manipulate. I'm just saying that's my experience. Not yours.
Fix your game Bli$$ard you fucking money hungry cowards! We are tired of you pretending like you give a fuck. We know you fucking don’t! Nerfing shit to make wild worse. Nerfing decks where only “created by” bullshit decks can win. Seriously you are the epitome of a shit absolutely scum filth company. And also on that thought. Yeah let’s nerf all the basics cards or rares and commons so the players who payed all that dust for legendaries and epics for said deck get the least amount of dust possible back if any at all. Oh just buy more packs! Sorry scum fucks I will continue to give you absolute no money!
