Is this a new card or replacing the old one?

I have a golden Jarraxxus so am wondering what will happen to it.

Is there any reason not to dust golden classic cards assuming you have the normal still? There is not much chance of last minute nerfs or is there?

After losing to face priest after an hour of non stop face hunter and aggro rogue I am done. I think some of the cards printed recently are excellent but I cannot stomach how fast the ladder is. It kills all fun and enjoyment in a game I desperately want to enjoy.

This turn 4 paladin business is more busted than early incarnation quest rogue. It must be nerfed now, I cannot see how this interaction and consequence was intended.

This is one of the worst expansions. Blizzard really tests their cards or they're just going to release all powercreed from now on. Basically standard will become wild this year with broken combos and OP cards.

I just took my first session on ladder after my arena runs and I can't believe it. Why do team 5 keep doing this? druid is so ludicrous and feels awful to play against.

This isn't as bad as post rotation and the team have shown they are willing to nerf quickly now so there may be a refresh sooner than you think.

posted a message on Blizz should calm down with the mana cheating cards.

I think we have moved to a point now where the big game hunter nerf being reversed would be fine and appreciated. It is only a small thing but will at least help against the early doors 8/8s or allow you to deal with a crazy buffed minion in later turns with some mana left to deal with the other flood of hench baddies.

    Quote from ADXE >>

Remember most games are not F2P.  If you're complaining that Hearthstone wouldn't be as fun if you had to pay money, then there is no shame in finding out some things cost money.

If Hearthstone was a kids game then they probably wouldn't care too much about pouring money into it.  It's not.  Most people playing it have money.  Most of you complaining about having to pay or being a casual player have money, just too stingy, spend it on coffee or fast food.

We're talking about 50$ once every 4 months.  If you can't afford that then you should be playing with less cards.  Plain and simple.

It's not Pay to win, it's pay to have fun.

Yes I have always seen it as pay to have fun, I have a main account and a F2P account on the US server and I have very similar winrates on both accounts despite the lack of cards and dust on my F2P account. I have more fun with my EU decks as they are usually as I want down to a card and I have more choice to tinker.

I used to spend £150  - £200 a year on hearthstone but the price increase stopped me spending money on the game as it broke my value to cost ratio and now I have not spent anything on the game in 3 years apart from the last adventure as I thought the cards were excellent as they have proved to be. The current system has allowed me to have enough gold for 50 - 60 packs on both accounts for a new expansion but this new system is a clear attempt to reduce the amount of gold available to players for day one of a new expansion, not just with the cap but also that 1,250 of the gold is at the top end of the chart so you will have to grind hard for it.

For me the quests have been the incentive to have such a diverse amount of decks available and to seek to craft so many legendaries and epics, if this comes in to play then I will probably just choose 2 or 3 classes as my focus classes and sacrifice the rest. I will never spend £44.99 on an expansion bundle, no matter what they do to hamper gold accumulation.

It is a shame but on the plus side I have never bought skins so the chance to earn them is nice and if they are unique and focused each month that may replace the quest incentive to try new things.

posted a message on mind control should be banned from arena

I thought this yesterday both when I was the victim of mind control and when I was the priest with mind control. In a mode where board state is everything and hand sizes quickly dwindle the power of mind control is too much.

I would welcome a mind control ban, it should be sin binned just as the death knights were.

posted a message on Error 404 - Glide no found

This card as of yet not seeing much play is a relief, not a justification for it existing. This card should not have been made as far as I am concerned and the risk that it could one day see consistent play is an ever present menace until it is rotated. I hope it is always a sub optimal card.

posted a message on Battlegrounds would be more fun with a chat room

The ratio of chatters who would be deliberately obnoxious vs those who wouldn't, would need to massively swing in the direction of the latter in order to even be considered. Right now the obnoxious chunk of the pie would be too large, way too large.

It is not a question of free speech but Blizzard's freedom to choose what features they have in their game. I am sure they would not want hearthstone to get a reputation of having a toxic in game chat for a couple of reasons and they know that for most players, a toxic chat is is a negative for the overall enjoyment of the game. You could make it toggable on or off or add block features but before they do it there needs to be enough good reasons to go to the trouble of adding it and I don't think there are enough.

Not to mention that it may be awkward with having a smooth, functional chat interface across all platforms which works fluidly and will not be a pain to use.

Personally I would be ok with a chat feature because I can block out all the noise and will enjoy the times when a good chat gets going but overall I do not think it is a good idea.

posted a message on Killbin or Kibler?

I miss Strifecro, he was an amazing decision maker and he always knew how to make a decent control/grinder mage in every meta which was a deco type I love but not many streamers played. He was arguably better teacher than Kibler.

Other misses for funstone is noxious and day9, the latter for his tendency to go off on tangents abour anything in his streams.

Also to the rude poster having a go at the poster with kids for no reasons, you need to have a word with yourself and also as a father of two, I can say that in the rare occassions I get to sit down with a cup of coffee, sometimes watching a hearthstone video/stream can be just what you need before duty calls again, nothing wrong with that.

Kibler showcases decks for longer and gives a more detailed analysis of his play. I like the decks he leans towards and he is very astute at choosing tech cards for the meta.

I enjoy Regis a lot though and probably watch more of his videos. I tend to watch Regis while playing hearthstone but tend to watch Kibler without other on screen things going on.

posted a message on How many packs are you gonna buy for Scholomance?

    None

I used to buy the expansion bundle and one more smaller bundle for every expansion but after the price increase 3 years ago I have stopped buying them. It does not matter how many additional bonuses you get with the bundle I am never going to pay more than £34.99 for the expansion bundle. It is already expensive as it is seeing as 40/50 packs will only get you a fraction of what you wanted but I would pay that as I played the game a lot. I won't go higher though so £44.99 is a no go. They have lost hundreds of pounds in sales from me by that increase.

Luckily I have still been able to get good enough decks through quest gold packs and saved dust which is carefully spent. Just not a full roster of decent decks like before.

posted a message on If you could add 1 wild card to a standard deck what would it be?

Firelands portal if you are going for a no minion mage.

Frost Lich Jaina is a natural choice too as there are so many lackeys around.

If you want a good neutral for the meta I would say primordial drake or for funzies maybe carnivorous cube now that there is less silence and less charge.
