I just wondering why we doesn't get two chest at the end of the month? I think it would be great for those players who like to play both standard and wild because the game would feel more rewarding. I mean if just go to rank 20 it doesn't matter, but if you reach rank 10 or 5 in both playmode its a pretty big deal. What do you think?
People would feel like they had to play both formats in order to get both chests and would then need to put in twice as much time. Although it would be nice, I think more people would be unhappy over this than happy.
I doubt this will ever happen but I would love it if it did. Generally play to R5 in one format each month and naturally get to R10 by having fun in the other.

Humanity in a nutshell. "OK so I won't be any worse off, but they over there will be better off ? I hate it!"

I don't understand your point. Adding an optional reward wouldn't make anyone feel like they have to do anything. If they want the optional reward, they'd work for it. Nothing wrong with that...

This is the exact reason why its not a thing, they didnt want to "force" ppl to play both formats, so u can choose in which one u want to play and u get the same reward. Ofc more rewards is always nice, but in this particular scenario i tend to agree with blizz's policy.
That doesn't seem like a bad idea it promote the wild format too for the chest and would lead more people to wild
Good post
You can get a chest by just playing wild. So no.
Yeah but don't you think if I invest time on getting high ranking on both I deserve to get at least some rewards and it promote the wild format to standard players
This was literally told to us by Blizzard when they announced the chest rewards the very first day. The actual announcement of the chest rewards at the end of the month had the explanation. So we got our answer before we received the first chest reward.
They do not want players to feel like they have to spend time in both formats.
Of course players always want more free stuff but that does not give us the right to demand it. We can of course ask for it but why would Blizzard want to give more free stuff? There are so many suggestions from new players on how WE can get more free stuff but why would Blizzard want to do this? Who are going to pay for that extra free stuff given to us?
It's laughable reasoning that the only explanation for why there aren't two loot boxes for two formats at the end of one season is that it "forces" people to play both formats for all of the rewards, they just don't want to promote Wild or give out more rewards so everyone has to suffer their miopic and imbalanced Druidstone. The fundamental problem of not getting "all" the rewards still exists on ladder for all of those people who don't even reach rank 5 in one format in a season, and that's like 98% of players ... so please stop with the BS excuses.
What? It's a free 20 rank chest for you. how could this ever under any circumstances whatsoever be bad for anyone? Instead of a random ranked chest now you get 2.
It also creates the feeling i missed 350 dust by not playing wild : you can create new rewards without forcing me to play a game mode i don't like. (or without telling people "Don't you feel bad about dusting your wild collection now ?")
You wouldn't be forced to do anything. Rewards are optional, for people that WANT to do them.
its kind of funny that people against a system that only gives people MORE stuff...so stupid.
If you want more rewards, then simply raise the existing one, or create new ones that benefits almost everyone. Don't design rewards jsut for a minority of players.
Also, the only thing wild has going for it right now is its "casual" feel : don't ruin it by making it more competitive (and thus reducing its diversity & encouraging massive netdecking there as well)
Rewards are meant for the minority of players: the people that put in the work to earn them. People that get Legend get better rewards than people at rank 20, who in turn get better rewards than people who don't play ranked. There's no point in making a reward that almost everyone get get with ease.
And wild may have a casual feel, but aside from that being your opinion, it still has a ranked mode for a reason.
I think it would be simply fair. A couple month ago Kibler reached legend in both playmode and got the same reward as someone who did it in one. FeelsBatman

The current reward structure mostly rewards skill, as anyone with a bit of talent can reach rk5 in a reasonnable amount of time, even with a limited collection. This "double chest" only rewards people for having a massive collection and a lot of time available : it takes as much skill to reach rk5 in one format or both.
Last but not least : Wild is supposed to have a "casual" feel to it : it's a place where nostalgic players can continue to play their favorite deck, or where people can experiment the craziest combos. The best thing about wild is its diversity. Don't ruin it by turning it into a more competitive environment : we don't want millions of netdeckers invading that format.
Your logic is that ranked standard requires skill, but ranked wild requires a big collection? And again, there's absolutely nothing wrong with rewarding players for putting more time and effort into the game.
And again, the purpose of Wild is subjective. Your definition and mine seem to differ quite a bit. I don't see nostalgia, I just see a bigger cardpool. Granted, it is more casual, but still, it has its fair share of cancerous netdecks already. Everything annoying that players do in Standard to climb the ranks is also done in Wild.

Why is this a question?

I think it is a good idea.
I just want my monthly Wild chest to have golden Wild cards in it. That would make me very happy.
I lose enough sanity grinding standard.
Also, I disenchanted all wild cards (including adventures) :(

I already thought about this aswell, but then again...playing on one ladder for the best reward is time consuming enough anyways.
So I would rather just get the chest from my best result (standart/wild) twice. Thank you! ;)
