Ambush is obviously like Burrowing Mine, when you draw the card it's destroyed, a 4/4 is summoned and a new card is drawn. I don't see the confusing bit.
not a lot of ppl can read beyond "no face, no play"
just wanted to stop in again and say how freaking pumped i am for control rogue. the class was designed too weak for control so what does bliz do, they manipulate and slow the other guys deck for you. lol, deceptively simple indeed bliz. ill take it tho:)

arent you jumping the gun a bit. we havent seen the non collectible token yet. burrowing mine was a hidden pyroblast, 3 4/4 tokens will most likely be treated differently given the difference in card values.
I'm not a massive rogue fan but this card will definitely see play in mill rogue and maybe in Tinkers Rogue.
Why would it see play in mill rogue ? Just because you're guaranteed to get the 12/12 total body ? I'm not sure mill deck have room for this, even if you're guaranteed to draw the nerubians it's still very inconsistent and random and you'd have to remove important cards from your deck. And you're not even guaranteed to draw those 4/4 if you actually MILL the opponent, you'll mill the ambushes and protect its other cards.
I can see the argument for oil rogue, that makes sense but i'm not sure either.
Well one of the problems with mill rogue atm is that there isn't enough solid cards to make it a viable deck. And the downside of giving your opponent cards outweighs the upside of getting them closer to fatigue and overdrawing. This new card allows you to feel safe playing with an empty/low minion board because you know you have 3 4/4's coming. Also you have to remember stat wise it's a 12/12 for 3 mana. That's insane. The drawback is that its not instant but if you play mill rogue you can increase the chances of it happening significantly. That is why it will see play in mill rogue.
That's what I thought with Malorne pre GvG. I'm not convinced, it's really not obvious to me that a random 4/4 6 times in the game at the cost of 2 card slots and 6 mana would help that much.
The question is , can rogue stall the game long enough to make this cards value come to unfold.
With the new vendor, rogue will get 8 aditional heal, thats like a 3rd healbot, also those heal cards have realy good synergie with vanish. Maybe we will see some kind of mill/control hybrid fatigue rogue.
Control Rogue: Now a thing. Beneath the Grounds provides you board presence while you sit back and focus on clearing the opponent's board to stall and wait until you can start pumping out value from Anub'arak. The arachnophobia is real.
Just, no. I mean, yeah i think Beneath the Grounds just gives so much value, but Anub'arak will rarely see play imho, since it costs 9 mana and it's way too slow EVEN for a Control Rogue. Wasting an entire turn to drop and 8/4 that does nothing the moment it comes to play, seems pretty bad for me.
Back on the card, if you can somehow survive until this card starts droppin' dem' Nerubians, then i think it might see some play, but it's hard to see exactly what deck will be fitting to host this card.
I guess the idea is that you play Trade Prince Gallywix first, so as to discourage spell use and force minion trading, a war of attrition that you'll win. Quality deathrattles that that improve your board state can outweigh the lack of immediate effect, with Sylvanas Windrunner and Dr. Boom being prime examples.
Anyone have any idea how this card will interact with Varian? Say he draws 3 cards, and this is the first one, does he only draw 2 more cards, or 3? and since one of those draws is from BtG and not Varian, will it still be put into play if its a minion?
One things for sure... as a mill rogue, if a control Warrior wants to spend 10 mana to draw 3 cards on turn 10, I'm all for it. Coldlight, Prep, Vanish, Doomsayer all here waiting for ya!
Anyone else realize that Beneath the Grounds can be played twice? Thats a potential 6 quasi-free Nerubian that you can attack with immediately your next turn because they were summoned on the opponents turn. Am I the only one who thinks that is crazy?
The card is so good, but not a card for oil rogue, new archetypes need to be created to that card be usual, that's will be a fantastic card versus control and combos decks like Patron warrior that need to buy cards. I will try to use that card.
it was the first thing i had to cut..... its either that or doctor boom, in an aggro format, vanish was more of a 2 turn stall, in a midrange format, it was a decent set back, against control, it was an overprice sap that really doesnt do much.... if i do have to put it back in, i would either lose the undercity valiant and boom for 2 prep and a vanish.
a mill rogue control deck, uses gang up mill rogue as a shell
Where're Deadly Poison and Blade Flurry? Where are taunts? What do you going to do with Explosive Shit in Rogue-deck - to spend a whole important card for activating (so why not a poison+flurry - it's just simplier and works better)?.... What do you suppose to get from Burgle? And where is Sap in the end??

If you manage to build a slower rogue deck, this card may be very good.
Who can take your trash out?
Stomp it down for you?
Shake the plastic bag
and do the twisty thingy, too?
Do we have a release date for this card? --> See what I did there? ;-)

you also forget how nicely the new heal cards synergize with rogue. rogue can cloak combat medic for endless heal. its goong to be glorious

Hearthpwn main page, scroll down, under card clarifications.
oh thanks. hearthpwn is really glitchy on my browser so i stick to the main page.
w/o a meta to compare this card in its hard to say. i know CW or RD would wreck with this card. maybe its a sign ;)

I hope so, i really love to play those fat rogue cards. Maybe a combination of undead race cards?

This card seems to be great for a midrangy, Tempo Rogue. Look out for new archetypes, don't pigeonhole new cards into existing decks. :)
