if you guys really think this card won't see play you are crazy, its a 2 for 1 and the chances your opponent getting something game changing is slim to none esp if you are winning. I see tempo dropping arcane int for at least 1 of these. I know its something i will give a try.
Absolutely atrocious card. Why do I want to potentially give my opponent a brawl, flamestrike, pyroblast, etc. RNG works both ways, but I still wouldn't want to risk it. Blingtron never sees play and this card will never see play either.

in tempo mage it wouldnt matter if they got half the boardwipes, they would never get to play them if the tempo mage is winning and if your losing it can only improve your odds of winning.

Oh we'll see if it ever sees play or not. I'm going to guess it's going to be experimented with for the first two weeks of the set release and then become dust fodder from then on.
If you play it on curve (and you would want to play it on curve because lategame 3/4 is quite bad) your opponent gets to use the spell first. Essentially this puts you behind on tempo into a reactive position which no Tempo Mage wants to be in.
Sigh...this is why Mage will never see top tier and it makes me sad because it's my favourite class too. This kind of RNG bullshit makes their decks too inconsistent thus unreliable. Just look at FlameWaker and Unstable Portal.
Nice troll 8/10
Ain't even playing fam. This card clearly will never be played in Freezing which is the only competative Mage deck right now. So it's more likely it would be played in Tempo of some sort so look at any tier list and any competative events and see how many people bring Tempo Mage, VERY LITTLE TO NONE.
This is a nice tempo draw option. Usable body and you get the first chance to use the spell if you desperately need it. But yeah, tempo mage draw at its finest. It will see some play in really aggressive tempo mage variants.

No one is forcing you to run the heavy RNG cards. You really don't need Unstable Portal or Effigy or Spellslinger, they're just cards you run on the off chance you get a game-breaking card that wins the match for you. Mage is in a pretty good spot objectively, it's just doing poorly because it has trouble with Warrior, a class that has become very popular as of late.
As for the "fam" thing, no. Don't do that. Just don't.

This is a Mage card, and mages have zero spells that target their own minions. Why would Mage play darkbane?
edit.
I don't know. I hope not!
I'm 99.99% sure it CAN'T. Effects like this only give you collectable spells.
Gives Mindbender a reason for being.
Galavant Animation
Awesome, a Blingtron for Fireballs
A card for Mill Mage maybe? :P
Doesn't seems that bad, could see play in spells based decks.

"That belongs in the Hall of Explorers!"

I do believe Counterspell has found a new friend!
so free pluses for my opponent? lol
The card is TERRIBLE.

Could be nice in my Counterspell/Trogg deck.
Anything else? No. RNG is a double edged sword.
Flamewaker tempo mage could use this to some extent I believe. Cool card.
Used to be a proud Handlock player.
Legend 17 times.
Still flirting with the ladder from times to times with Renolock.
