TBH I've played quite a few games with this in my ramp druid and it simply has been useless. I mean, I was better off playing Boulderfist Ogre. He only summoned 1 minion in 1 game and the rest he never summoned any. In that one game, he was just a win-more card. I can't see the value unless the meta shifts to major spellcasting. What I found particularly interesting was he sucked vs priest which is what I had originally put him in there to beat. To all people thinking about crafting him, please don't. You will be greatly disappointed (at this point).
Im not sure if dr. boom is that much better, he has maybe less immidiate impact than this guy.
This hype about this card forgot about 2 things:
-Your opponent is extremely unlikely to play any spells while he is on the board. His cieling might look high, but in real games, he is just another 6/6 body.
-He has quite bad stats for his cost, and you can not trigger his upside yourself. If he were a 6/8 or 6/9, things could have looked differently. To trade with a 6-6 on turn 7 is no biggie (boulderfist, loatheb+heropower etc. etc...)
he may not seem much, but think of it from your opponent's side, it keeps them from playing spells and slows them down.
you need to play against one to really understand
This is exactly right. You can't judge the effect from your side. You don't see the spells the opponent could've crushed you with that he is wincing that he can't use when Troggzor goes down.
Did extremely well for me. I threw it in pretty much every deck I have and he mostly delivered. No regrets crafting him at all. Imho better than Cairne in most situations.

Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.
I usually play control decks (warr and especially lock) and tried this card since it was the first legendary that popped.
Granted it's too early to make any calls but I found this card less useful than Loatheb for 2 reasons:
1. Cost: 7 mana usually means you cannot play anything else that turn. Unless you are dominating the board, this hurts your presence.
2. The "gimmick": It does not really prevent anything. Loatheb usually forced your opponent to change his/her routine but Trogg just provides to be a nuisance. I've had people ignore him besides the fact that it's still a 6/6.
In short, I would only play this card if I were dominating the board aka "win more" sort of situation. Otherwise loatheb costs less and has a more effective "gimmick".
I think ignoring the ability is possibly the stupidest way to react to this card. It summons a 4 drop for your enemy EVERY TIME YOU CAST A SPELL, and you ignore that?
coin: you gain one mana and they gain a 4 drop shadow step: return a minion to your hand and give your enemy a 4 drop
fireball: deal 6 damage and give your enemy a 4 drop.
if you are casting lots of spells with this guy out, it better be for lethal. If it isn't for lethal, you are asking to be killed. One activation effectively makes him a 6/6 for 2.
So far, I am so happy that I got him in one of my free packs. He's been making people concede left and right, and even if he dies, I either get a 2 for 1 trade or I get at least 1 Trogg to finish up his work.
Did extremely well for me. I threw it in pretty much every deck I have and he mostly delivered. No regrets crafting him at all. Imho better than Cairne in most situations.

Have to completely reverse my initial impression. Kicked it out of pretty much every deck meanwhile. It should be good but isn´t. Maybe some meta change will accomodate him better in future...

He has won quite some games for some of my opponents. Rogue, Archmage Antonidas and freeze mage all hate this guy!
He is very weak if you don't have board-control though, as he trades badly minion-for-minion for a 6-drop. Zoo is on the rise, so I think he will be seen less again.
being playing with him for a week now, has some value against rogues and some mages, think he is one of the "tech" slots on my deck, where he would be the first one to be replaced.

Dodges BGH, brutal to spell heavy decks I would say hes above average and really strong against classes like Paladin, Mage, lol pretty much every single class in the game that aren't playing aggro.
Probably the second best 7 drop. Too bad Dr. Boom is so good, that even in a deck vulnerable to spells with no mech, deathrattle or token synergy it is still better.

Baron Geddon, Chillmaw, Ancient of Lore, Ancient of War, Archmage Antonidas, Confessor Palatress, and Neptulon say "hi".

Ancient of War is druid only so... can't really count that
Baron Geddon only really fits well in Warrior
Chillmaw is good, but dragon only...
Tony, Neptulon, and Palatress are also not neutrals so, I wouldn't compare those either
So, what ifogph should have said was best neutral 7 drop. But, I assumed that.

I guess this settles it then. I'm using my 1600 dust for Dr. Boom.

Playing him on an empty board has made my opponents weep. I can't hear them but I can tell by the time they spend hovering their cursor on him.

Im building a Priest control deck and Im picking either Troggzor the Earthinator, Sneed's Old Shredder, or Dr. Boom. Now I only have Sylvanas Windrunner and Cairne Bloodhoof. Which one should I craft to get most value?

Am I the only one who thinks his artwork is awesome?

How is Troggzor the Earthinator in LOE?
