Insanely good in standard and its a better Devolve in wild. When you run out of Hexes or just didnt draw them, giving your opponent a random murloc is just so much better than giving them a random 8-drop vs. Voidlord / Obsidian Statue. It sucks against aggro, but shaman has the tools to deal with them. Its also very good against deathrattle decks.
In my opinion this is the best card from the new expansion so far. Meta-defining in every play mode (even in arena).
Good card, but not as scary as people are making out. It has its uses (dealing with a board of any number of medium to large minions) but is relatively ineffective against a wide (or narrow for that matter) board of small minions. The main lure of this card is forcing midrange opponents to play round it, since once people are accustomed to it being in the game, it will often be a glorified polymorph.
What is perfect? This is one of the wrongest card in the history for 3 mana... Open your eyes people.
Who said anyone's eyes are shut?
Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn. - Alfred Pennyworth
All joking aside, can the insipid conjecture wait until there is hindsight? This happens every expansions, the Hearthpwn community all of a sudden becomes professional game designers. The amount of cards this community says is OP is hardly ever accurate. The amount of cards that get overlooked and dismissed by this community ends up being much better than the community's initial perception.
Last Expansion, a bunch of try-hard cry babies were whining about losing to Murloc Shaman, deeming Underbelly Angler as OP. Underbelly Angler makes Murloc Shaman "playable" more importantly, they created 2 other cards with Murloc synergy and without those 3 cards Murloc Shaman would be Dumpster Tier as it has been for the past 1 1/2 years prior to RoS.
But Underbelly Angler IS op... Underbelly Angler is a stupid op card

Wouldn't you call card that single hand keep whole archetype alive OP?
only due to this card murlock shaman is Tier1 (according to hsreplay.net with 54,03% win rate across all ranks). I'm quite positive murlock shaman doesn't need much more support to become real issue.
Best card we've seen in the set so far, this has meta-breaking implications. Devolve was great, but for 1 more mana you get an even better version that dumps on the plague of conjurer mages. Plague + storm is going to deal with almost any board out there, very few murlocs have tanky health. It also doubles up as a tool to create boards out of useless totems if you're in a MU that doesn't need as much removal. As a bonus, it's a transform effect so it screws up resurrect and deathrattle mechanics.
Between fountain, hagatha, storm, hagatha's scheme, earthquake, and this plague I think we can just expect to never have a board against shaman, ever. Which really isn't going to be any fun. In wild it gets even dumber when you factor in volcano and maelstrom portal. Ugh.
Probably the strongest Plague card as it is very safe to use against deathrattle boards and then use a small board-clear as Murlocs have little health.
Seen some Priest and Druid decks with crazy wide and big stat boards on these theorycrafting streams. This card says Nah, ain't having any of that. This card alone can negate most other deck archetypes. Because it costs 3 mana, it is very flexible with other AOE spells in late game.
You can also do silly things with the Coin on turn 10. Like play this and then Hagatha to basically clear their board no matter what scary stuff is on the other side.

This can either go good, or VERY bad..
I think we are going to see a lot of Hungry Crab techs this expansion!

This + Old Murk-Eye is a very decent burst that goes through any taunts. Against opponent's full board (with your being empty) it is 7 mana deal 9.
