I think the nerf of the creeper will bring back Evolve Shaman to some extent. They aren't just giving away free 5/5s for their totems. I think Evolve shaman should be able to counter cubelock with a good draw (I know what "with a good draw" sounds like). They just couldn't beat any other deck before. Priest and rogue both ruined them. Same with aggro pally.
And with evolve shaman making an appearance again, that will bring rise to other decks.
And so on.
tl;dr, everyone already said it. There will be a meta shift.

I thought this post was about the nerf to oblivion theme that Blizzard sometimes do (ejem Warsong Commander ejem), but that, omg...
So you basically want Blizzard to nerf ALL tier 1 decks, and then when the meta stabilizes again, they should nerf all the new tier 1, and so on until we can reach legend with an all basic cards deck relatively easy... That's not how the game works. Those cards needed a nerf because they were no brainer: Play pirate Patches appears gg, play Raza then play Anduin gg, 0 mana 5/5... But cubelock requires some skill to play. I'm not saying that it is the most difficult deck to play correctly ever, but you need to think on your decisions, whether or not to Hellfire now or I should wait, do I copy this or keep it for later, do I play Carnivorous Cube on this minion to survive (I had to play it once on Umbra and copy it, and I won the game because those extra Umbras helped my to control the board vs an aggro deck for example).
One friend of mine when he was starting played once on my account. On rank 8-7 mid-month, having played like a couple weeks, he managed to win some games with aggro decks even with Highlander. But when he tried cube he got destroyed by anything, even a Warrior that showed up.
The point isn't nerfing everything, the point is nerfing some no brainers so the game requires actually SOME skill to play it at a high level
Sometimes, but more importantly, sarcasm just flies over your head, doesn't it? :P
You really wrote a few days ago :
"I want to put RAZA here as an honorable mention simply because I firmly believe that it is going to get nerfed soon and I don’t know how good will it be after the nerf. They might nerf it into making the hero power cost 1 "
They aren't trying to balance the game. They are trying to shake up the meta so you have to build new decks. They are keeping the cubelock and aggro pally thing in the back pocket for when sales get sluggish. But hey, if you want to believe that leaving cubelock alone was an oopsie, craft away and buy more packs.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
They're not nerfing warlok bc they're most probably gonna hall of fame Doomguard when the next rotation hits. Also, they're trying to change the meta, not balance things up. Raza priest has been a high contender for way too long along with tempo rogue, now they're giving warlok a turn since it will probly only be tier 1 until the next expansion.
So its fine to play against all these bullshit cards for a year or so but when its time they go to wild its not fair for them to be like that forever. Fuck you Blizzard this should have happened 6-8 months ago
A nerf to Possessed Lackey is the solution. It should have the sames stats, but the text of Void Caller. Cheating out an early Void Lord or a no-discard Doomguard is powerful enough (especially with Dark Pact). Drawing a card on top of that is very, very powerful. Drawing the specific card you need is broken. Nerfing Possessed Lackey would turn it more into a true combo deck (probably with an emphasis on multiple Doomguards) instead of a super consistent, flexible deck that can switch between defense and offense rather easily.
I have to say that blizzard know what they are doing because all of this meta is proposital, since Purify Priest has tier 4,5 deck and have no power in ranked after that begins ppl asking for better options and improvement to anduin. So part of that is our fault to not argue with blizzard what it is best for the game, I mean, why not keep all brawls(if you liked some you can play with ur friend), or Tournament Mode, best rewards on reaching legend, rank 5 instead cardback, as example.
As is always the case, when Blizzard decide to nerf something, they almost ALWAYS without fail either nerf the wrong cards, nerf them too hard or don't even nerf them at all.
If you look at the changes to the current nerf-selection, you can see that some of these are horrendous knee-jerk nerfs and are overkill.
You know you've messed up when you nerf a minion so badly that the Carrion Grub is now a better option! I think that some nerfs were needed - but I am frankly alarmed that none of the nerfs included any Warlock cards like, AT ALL!
Doomguard, Possessed Lackey, Voidlord - all of these are retardedly overpowered currently and yet Blizzard were browbeaten by the crying Warlock players into nerfing literally the only cards that were keeping them in check.
Well played, Blizzard. Well played. Enjoy the sole-Warlock meta...
Not to mention, but the timing was just insane. Why let us deal with Raza Priest for this long in standard, then nerf it before it goes Wild (ya know ... where they actually have other insane power deck options to offset it). The same goes for Patches. It not only does not make sense, but it is a literal slap in the face to Standard players that they do nothing while it is in the "Main" game mode, but nerf it right before it rotates.
And the Creeper nerf, while something was needed ... destroying the card completely wasn't. They should have just removed it from the game.
I would expect Warlock to get nerfed eventually .. but in typical fashion, it will dominate the game for months before they do anything. It's not like we can't already see what is coming. We don't need 2 seasons worth of Warlockstone to justify changes.

Corridor Creeper was a badly designed card in the first place and it shouldn't have been released. That said, I totally agree. Blizzard is pretty much unable to balance a card and they just destroy it. Good thing it was a neutral one - look what they did to Warrior, lol. Instead of slightly nerfing Bloodsail Cultist or Mortal Strike, while nerfing Patches after a year, they've destroyed Fiery War Axe and pretty much killed the class.
Sure, they'll nerf Warlock one day, just like this time. They'll just hope people will make something that keeps Cubelock in check.
As of now it's gonna be Cubelock, but maybe people will start playing Kingsbane Rogue, as it's performs surprisingly nicely. But who knows, lol? Time to practice Warlock mirrors for the next 12 months...

If we're talking about the rotation, then we basically have to ignore any argument about how cubelock will "dominate" for the next year. Since we really do not know what the new sets will bring us.
There will be meta shifts in the two ish months between the nerf and the next expansion. That's all I was talking about.

Man, that's easy. Corridor Creeper, Bonemare, Raza and Patches are not forcing any archetype. Cubelock and Jade Druid was forced by blizzard, so they don't wanna destroy their own decks. I was always against every nerf, doesnt matter if its my beloved Warsong Commander or damn Undertaker
You don’t nerf Warlock because not everyone wants to play warlock. You nerf Patches cause everyone does play Patches. That’s why it was nerfed, cause everyone could play him. That’s why Raza is still playable post nerf, cause you have to play priest highlander to play him. You don’t nerf cards that are good if you meet X condition. You make more conditions with equal power. The important thing is requiring a condition makes each “good card” more unique and improves variety. Classic needs more class legendaries imho, and everyone needs a voidlord for their favorite class.
I think its fine to let Warlock untouched, if its to strong they can hof doomguard. But the main thing is, Cubelock is good because it counters fast decks well. BUT those decks are kinda dead without creeper and patches.
We will see more control mage/Maybe Dead mans warrior and possible other control variants were its not so clear that cubelock is such a great deck.
Atm cubelock farms tempo thats why its so good but with tempo gone well see.
