at 8 mana this probably won't see much play. if it were at 5 mana it would probably be really good though. i think it would probably need to be reduced stats at that mana cost though.
okay maybe not since you can attack this on turn you get it and recruit something crazy like garosh or the new lengendary ( that if you have like 10 armour or more that’s like at best could be 16/20 worth of stats) buttttt that’s most likely not gonna happen
When the weapon meta is going to be a thing which it looks like where it is heading...these expensive weapons are just going to suffer...u spend 8 mana and recruit one minion and then it'll be oozed or harrisoned.
You also better make sure you pull something expensive which means no cheap minions are in the deck.
THis card just looks bad no matter how you look at it...
With a cost of 5/6, this could have led to an Big Warrior with the usual package in standard. But on turn 8, it's too late. But in Wild a Big Warrior could work maybe, because there are more surviveabilty options.

For the warrior is a strange strange weapon, it can be really really strong, but only if you are lucky. If you play little minion this will not be in your deck If you are going to play a control you want to recluit only big minion like Yip or Rotface
But in the best case this card will be Play a 5-8 mana minion deal 3 damage
The only good scenario is the dead hand warrior, you don't play many battlecry minion (a lot of deathrattle) so when you draw Nzoth you can play this without problem, you free your deck and accelerate the combo
I think the effect can actually be very strong, if you build your deck around it. Big warrior with lots of weapons may force out their removal with Gorehowl, while this gets extreme value. If you get 1 swing in, it may be worth it depending on the result. With 2 or 3 swings I'd say it's definitely a good weapon. Requires a very specific deck though I think and I'm not sure it can be utilized.
I'd say this supports a control-y style of warrior. If you fit this in a deck with big hitters like the lich king, geosculptor yip, Grommash hellscream, etc. you've got a heavy hitting deck with a drip feed of 3 big minions over time. The real question is, how well can you survive without small minions? (Priest manages it with things like Barnes and eternal servitude, but can warrior do the same thing, basically? After all, they've got things like brawl, shield slam, their blood razor, etc.)
Alternately, you might get something to enable combos, but off the top of my head, it seems an unreliable way to do it.

So, when a warrior uses Dead Man's Hand, what does that actually mean in terms of flavor? Is he the dead man? Does he cut off his own hand? Is that why he has Tentacles for Arms? Does he think that tentacles are actually as good as arms?
These reasons and more are why I think warriors are more mysterious than people give them credit for.
So you don't play this unless the deck is rigged for it. Assume when you use this it will get you Lich King, Ysera, Deathwing 2.0, Nozdormu for lulz, Y'Shaarj is probably the nuts, Yip works if you have armor.
8 mana get a 9 or 10 mana guy 3 times seems pretty good, plus the weapon stats to hit with. I'd say this is better than Scourgelord Garrosh in a traditional control wallet warrior. Could be pretty good if the deck is good.

Not something that warrior really needs i m o, I can't see an archetype where this would fit.
Welp once again warrior is just fucked
Disappointing
Wait to see the neutrals before passing final judgment on Recruit, guys.

Weird name when the art clearly shows a Draconic Avenger (for reference Draconic Avenger).

It's really strong, but it's so fucking slow. How will a warrior build a deck around this and still survive any early game aggression?
Big Warrior is real. Not sure if it's better than DMH, but it's real. Forge of Souls means you will always have this on 8.
Warrior deserved better...

Amazing effect but the cost is to high. I rank it as Playable but barely.

Dang, I was really hoping this was fake.
I guess that's one more Weapon to add to the "please don't be the free weapon I get" pile.
"Let me change your mind..."
I think it looks good! Was really surprised to see all the negative replies.
Not sure what folks wanted I guess. (this for 5mana? really?)
