It doesn't matter how bad this card is to us right now, but it is a "deck defining card" ... mostly due to its affect.
I REALLY hope there is something missing to this card that we don't understand. Can this pick Malygos without it in play? Otherwise it would be absolutely broken beyond belief. Rouge would abuse the hell out of this card. (Although Rip FoK, SI, mimic pod, but besides the point). I'm giving Blizz the benefit of the doubt that there is potential for this card. Remember how we all thought Lyra was absolute crap? Look at her now. Let us just see how the expansion rolls out

(If the minion doesn't have great stats or a definable effect that works well today, it is considered bad)
I don't' know why people act like you need to not include any three cost cards. If you must use Hemet, then go ahead but I see this as a late-game combo card. I voted meta defining. I don't have anything off the top of my head but I know somewhere out there is the ultimate cheesy combo because this is only 3 mana, that leaves a lot to play with.
"if your deck doesn't contain" mechanics needs to have really strong effects to be viable like Reno Jackson. So far, both Prince have underwhelming effects.
First of all, I love deck-defining cards like this, we definitely need those more - it encourages different archetypes. What I love in Un'Goro is that when I face a class, I'm not immediately sure what I'm playing against, even after 3-4 turns.
And secondly, I think you miss the big point here - same as Kazakus and Reno Jackson, Prince Taldaram doesn't actually REQUIRE you to not run 3-Cost minions. What it does require for the Battlecry to activate is that your deck does not contain any 3-Cost minions at the time you play it, so you can very well curve out all the 3-Cost stuff earlier in the game.
This is why Mage can safely utilize it with Arcanologist drawing all the Secrets early, for example.
Very Terrible card. You can't even combo it with Cold Blooded Leeroy jenkins and spell damage cards(Prophet velen and Malygos) are too expensive. The condition is too much for such a niche card. Its terrible until any good card is released which has combo potential with this.
and for those talking about copying Strong Deathrattles like White Eyes, just use Faceless Manipulator and N'Zoth!!!
So far this expansion is TGT 2.0. I had high expectations because the promos were amazing(cinematics, videos, comics).
Don't forget Rangaros exists guys, in Wild. And my gal Ysera exists. Deathrattles exist. Anything like that would be a great copy, especially in late-game control match-ups.
Sad that it specifically precludes the combo with Sergeant Sally, which is just about the only situation where this would be better than Mirage Caller.
I would like to point out we have one more prince to go, maybe he does something cool that doesn't make his bros crap?
once again, nonstop comments that dont see the big picture. A well, way to actually kick off the REAL HYPE as only hearthpwn can!
Grats on the legendary and it's a GOOD card regardless of what others say. Hope to pull it (but not worth the 1600)
Hi i'm Tyler and I play hearthstone and watch anime.
Sometimes i make cards. I'd like to do that for a career one day if ever possible.
Not bad, but not awesome either.
Will see play, but not meta-defining.

This is actually great. LUL.
I'm still glad that I didn't preorder.
So, you can play turn 10 Malygos + Innervate + Prince Taldaram + 2x Moonfire for 22 damages face :-/ not sure if it's more powerful than a Faceless Manipulator.
Worst expansion so far.

I would say "dust it", but you may get another copy of it.
It's not Faceless Manipulator you guys, can you read???
"BECOME A 3/3 COPY"
NOT
"BECOME A COPY"
This seems bad, as in a conditional but also Legendary version of Mirage Caller.

best bet would be copying a minion with an ongoing effect like Archmage Antonidas or with a really strong deathrattle like White Eyes.
It's a niche card that's fun to theorycraft around, but other than that I don't think it'll see much play.
But mage already has 4 mana spell, which cost can be reduced by Aprentice.
When someone never played pali
I'm a realist!

Check out my entry for this week's Card Design Competition. Vote for it if you like it.

Here is the Dream: Mill Priest
Turn 2: Lorewalker Cho
Turn 3: Prince Taldaram copy Cho and then any of the following spells
Coin
Circle of Healing
Spirit Lash on later rounds...
Is it a good deck? Erm no. Would it be fun AF to meme this deck? :)
