Just played a game with jade shaman against a freeze mage while having this card in my deck and i won the late game because i made the dino imune to spells and gave him +1/1.It was so funny because he had like 2-3 fireballs from Antonidas and he was trying to point them at it...
After having used it once, I would say very good! I got a 5/9 minion with stealth, which caused my mage opponent freak out and use a Blizzard to stop it from attacking. He did not have that blizzard in hand to stop my jade onslaught the next two turns. I have to say I think adapt minions will be good against mages/and big removal classes.
Volcanosaur especially can combo things like windfury and spell-resistance, making it a high priority headache.
But isn't one of my adapt option going to be wasted?
Yes, unless it's one of the 3 stat buffs, which stack.
And the deathrattle, right? If you choose the deathrattle option two times then the adapted minion will spawn 4 Plants, right?
I don't see any reason why it wouldn't.
No it won't. Like cluelesspug said. Its not stat buff. So it won't.
I don't see how that the fact that it is not a stat buff means that it wont work?
E.g. Brann Bronzebeard and Unearthed Raptor gives the raptor 2 times deathrattle - Why would something similar not work with the adapt option of deathrattle?
Tried it in beast druid. Opponent had to Twisting Nether a board with just one minion on board to prevent me from getting a second 8/6 can't be targeted by spells or hero powers with my Menagerie Warden XD (I had two in hand)

I don't know. I am still unsatisfied with windfury not stacking. Till yesterday i was thinking The Voraxx is perfect card for paladin quest. But they made it clear later that spells cast on voraxx will count only once. All those wordings and designs are confusing. I guess you need to try it out yourself to find out. just take brann and volcanosaur in a deck and try that deathrattle synergy and see if it works.

Except a minion can have multiple deathrattle effects so should stack, might have to test this out. But windfury is just windfury, it's just a static effect like taunt or poisonous no reason to think it would ever stats
I voted it Very good after i played it a few times.
This card is one of those cards that don't seem appealing, but in reality the fact that it is incredibly versatile makes it very strong.
You see what class you face, you choose Adaptations accordingly to it, even Divine Shield is better than +3 health in some cases.
On Average you should always get an 8-drop of stat worth , and the fact that is incredibly versatile is like a Discover, i value that as a 1 mana as well.
In short is like a 9-drop with a 7 cost price. Adapt is really strong when it is used at least twice on the same minion.
Besides, its a beast , can even make Bestial Wrath playable with Hunter with this expansion no doubt.
i get really frustrated with the comment sections on most of the new cards. so many people seem to be so close-minded. they complain about stuff they haven't even tried out, they expect all new cards to be made specifically for already existing decks and judge the cards only in regards to their use in those already existing archetypes, they want minion types to be following pre-determined rules and never ever have for example a beast in warlock or paladin, where there is no obvious synergy, they want every single card to be competitive on high ranks, they can imagine every card only exactly on curve and only in the current meta and then they say the whole expansion sucks, before even half of the cards have been revealed.
it drives me nuts and sometimes i have a really hard time remaining calm when reading stuff like that. but still i cant resist the urge to look into the comment section, because there might be some interesting or funny ideas...
there are some gems in there. for the most part it's hard for a lot of hearthstone players to see the forest for the trees and aren't thinking about a meta that isn't because it's hard to do. i tend to just think about mana cost/effect ratio and not try to shoe-horn anything into actual decks because we haven't seen all the cards. a lot don't like volcanosaur, i think it's a pretty good card lol becuase a 7 mana 5/6 guaranteed to be an extra couple of things seems preeeeety good but i think i'm in the minority. i bet that card sees some play.
Played it one time....with Brann. It was pretty filthy, but didn't draw stealth so Priest shadowed it right off the bat. I realize Brann is leaving, but this still has potential.
I played it a bit this morning. I changed my vote from playable to bad. If I'm going to put a 7 mana card in my deck, I'm going chose one that is consistently good or consistently has some synergy with my deck. As a Paladin, Grimestreet Protector, for example is a much better 7-drop than this.
It was fun to play, but too often I wasn't offered the choices that would have been helpful for the situation. It reminds me of this scene from family guy when Peter forces citizens to pick their job from a hat, rather than the letting them do the job they've been doing:

Yeah, I think it's a bit underrated.

Anyone know - if you get the deathrattle buff, does the volcanosaur come back with Nzoth?

Adapt looks promising. I like it.
One day this game will stop existing. I can't wait.

After playing against a couple of 8/6's with Windfury or Stealth, there will be posts about Volcanosaur being broken....
Appears as a haughty Egyptian pharaoh wearing a brightly colored robe. The Brotherhood of the Black Pharaoh worships Nyarlathotep in this form.
Ik use it with brann it was insane
