    I would imagine that this is to do with the free core set.

    Also I think duplicate protection doesn’t link between golden and non-golden. I could wrong.

    Warning Unpopular Opinion incoming!

    I think pen flinger is very overrated.

    Sure he’s good in rogue (and at a pinch paladin).

    He’s better at high level play. But I see too many people waste whole turns pinging and wasting spells just to use him.

    I honestly love seeing people use him because they just waste mana rather than doing something more productive.

     You can stay in silver league all the time you want. The only wasted penflinger i see is when some1 gets dc. Players that fight for legend ranks are so fcking tired of this bullshiet.

    If this cards doesnt get changed I will stick to BG only.

     You mean this Legend Rank?

    Also did you miss the unpopular opinion warning?

    I see a lot of people just quoting Win rates for any deck they don't want to get nerfed, and it's honestly a stupid argument that is overdone at this point. A deck can have a terrible Win rate but still be one of rge most toxic decks ever. Honestly, tickatus isn't even needed. I play warlock without tickatus and it's still a really toxic deck with jaraxus. It is just a toxic card that requires no setup other than just playing a card that cost more and poof, your opponent can't play the cards they put in their deck.

     While I agree win rate should not be the only reason to nerf. Thinks like play rate should be taken in to some consideration. But just because a deck annoys you is not a good reason to nerf it. As been pointed out the whole point of Tickatus and warlock is the disruption at the moment. If that annoys you ok fine, doesn’t mean it should be nerfed.

    The whole soul fragment package is overstatted, imo. It essentially makes the hero power have no drawback over the course of a game and loads up for a massive clear/board swing turn with Malicia. I think the deck would be fairer if that effect actually cost you mana or stats. Would consider these changes:

    Spirit Jailer --> 1/2

    Soul Shear --> 2 damage

    School Spirits --> 4 mana

     So nerf demon Hunter as well even more to solve warlock. Yep good idea ! /end sarcasm

    Warlock removal and disruption is the whole point of the archetype and is supposed to be like that.
    Seriously, if your deck can't win if it loses one or two key cards then the problem is your deck, not the opponent.

    There's an old proverb about eggs and baskets that applies quite nicely here...

     You can literally make that argument for any deck at all, "Oh the RNG of Deck of Lunacy is the whole point of the archetype" the card is put in the deck for a reason so why you complaining when the reason its there actually works right?, People are'nt putting it in their decks for the lols of it they have build a deck purely around Deck of Lunacy, They avoid 5 drop spells because 8 drop spells are dreadful, They put in 3-4 7 drop spells because they want Nagrand Slam, They stack 3 and 4 drop spells because they give 6 and 7 drop spells which are largely mass card draw and mass AoE spells, The whole point of that archetype is built to get the most out of Deck of Lunacy, Its supposed to be like that.

    Pen Flinger, Rogue and Paladin build their decks around that card, That is the pure archetype of that deck to take advantage of Pen Flinger as much as possible, Why people complaining about it, Its supposed to be like that.

    You can literally make the "Its the archetype its supposed to be like that" for literally any deck in the game because they are built to a archetype so obviously that is how the deck is supposed to play that does'nt mean its not a problem, Look back at previous decks that have been dominant in the past, Machine gun priest, Quest rogue, All of them have had the archetype they will build to and all of them did what they were supposed to be doing the problem was they did it way too good and that is the same as Tickatus, It does what it does but it does it to a level that no other deck can even consider playing a control archetype.

     True but the difference is power level. No minion mage has a much higher win rate and is played at 20+% at all levels compared to max 10% for control Warlock.

    I would argue that control decks aren’t being played not because of Warlock which is a hard counter of course but because the other control decks aren’t good enough to counter mage and paladin.

    True that when those get nerfed warlock could rise and ruin control decks but I believe aggro will keep warlock in check. We shall see.

    Quote from mulluk >>

    While we are at it, Aldor Attendant seems to have a secret word: "This card will be in your start hand 100%, and if our servers fail to provide it 100%, then you will draw it next turn. Promise!".

    And to the rest, its funny, back then, when someone reported his experiences after 20 games, all those know-it-alls creeped out under their stones and claimed, you need at least 100 matches, blah blah. Now that we actually are able to track 100 games, they find another excuse. And yes, its also my experience, that my mage enemies draw lunacy very early, while they are not always playing it that early, some wait for specific cards in their hand before they play that card.

    People need to learn, that the matchmaker is manipulating the different experiences. Someone who only plays rogue will encounter complete different outcomes than someone who only plays netdeck priest. And priests who build off meta decks will also encounter totally different outcomes.

    Since ever i experiment with zoo priest from time to time, and as soon my first matches are successful, because people dont expect that, i get matched against opponent decks i have NEVER EVER seen before. Suddenly they have either perfect removals _every_ _frikken_ _turn_ or taunt, taunt, taunt, taunt, taunt. Suddenly you encounter cards you almost forgot they existed. You know this will happen, after the matchmaker _suddenly_ (thats the keyword) takes very long to find an opponent. I witnessed this pattern over the span of the last years.

    Maybe actually supply your statistical evidence of this algorithm that magically changes the RNG for the different match ups.

    Provide all the evidence of it changing the order of the cards based on the decks being used.

    I’m sure I’ll be able to do a statistical analysis on it.

    If any such algorithm exists it would be exploitable.

    If you don’t have the evidence, why would Blizzard would spend the time and money on such an algorithm?

    If it’s to make games more even? Why bother? It clearly isn’t working.

    Is it to make more money? How do they make money back? What’s the cost to return on designing a system like this?

    This would be a huge risk for them so do this kind of matchmaking/manipulation. If found true it would throw up all sorts of legal issues, especially considering the esport scene.

    If your statistical data is nothing more than gut feeling and you only notice the occasions when things seem a little odd and not the times things are working as expected. Then I’m afraid this is a classic case of confirmation bias.

    Humans are terrible about understanding probability and probable outcome.

    If you truly believe an algorithm or any other “rigged” or manipulated system is at play other than general rating based match making then I might suggest the tin foil hat shop on conspiracy lane.

    Warlock really isn’t that bad. Sure it can be frustrating to play against. Disruption is always frustrating to play against. There’s a reason people dislike playing against Blue in MTG.

    Disruption is Warlocks thing.

    Control warlock is (by hsreplays stats) about 51% win rate, that’s bottom of tier 2. Sure you have to take any stats with a pinch of salt. But I hardly see any Control warlock compared to say Mage and Paladin at the moment. Aggro eats if for breakfast.

    Don’t equate frustrating to play against and over powered. They are not the same thing.

    Doesn’t work like that, Blizzard will not know how long each mobile App Store take to approve admissions.  They just release the patch when it’s ready.

    How have they not figured out how to get the patch out at the same time on mobile and PC?

     How have you not figured out how mobile App Stores do their own checks for content, age appropriateness and malware and the releases aren’t direct controlled by Blizzard?

    Blington isn’t exactly reliable. This is one sided and costs just 1 mana and has a great upside when looking for top decks after Aluneth gets you closer to the end of the deck.

    Being able to have some control over your draw is huge. Bad top deck put it on the bottom hope for something better. Decent draw keep it. There’s a reason why Scry in MTG is such a strong mechanic
