Doesn’t work like that, Blizzard will not know how long each mobile App Store take to approve admissions.  They just release the patch when it’s ready.

How have they not figured out how to get the patch out at the same time on mobile and PC?

How have you not figured out how mobile App Stores do their own checks for content, age appropriateness and malware and the releases aren’t direct controlled by Blizzard?

Blington isn’t exactly reliable. This is one sided and costs just 1 mana and has a great upside when looking for top decks after Aluneth gets you closer to the end of the deck.

Closest thing to a MTG artifact. Scry is really interesting.

Being able to have some control over your draw is huge. Bad top deck put it on the bottom hope for something better. Decent draw keep it. There’s a reason why Scry in MTG is such a strong mechanic

Spellburst only takes effect after the spell is done, meaning that it would kill the 3 little minions and then summon them back once.

Wouldn't be so sure about that, look at how death rattles work with defile, defile is not one spell being cast its multiple spells being recast one after another with board being updated and effects triggered in between

Unless it hasn't been confirmed i won't be surprised if spellburst will activate after first defile

Spellburst is an ‘after a spell is played’ effect since the recasts of defile are part of the original ‘played’ spell and other after spell is played’ effects happen after all ticks of defile, I would expect Spellburst to also happen after all ticks. Deathrattles are different because they happen during the spell and can interrupt multiple step spell.

The entire spell would complete before the spellburst triggers so it should work Exactly as expected for the Shadowflame eg you get the shadowflamed minion and  the minions it kills.

Spellburst only goes off once after a spell is cast. There is two scenarios here that I see.

    1. Defile goes off killing the gnome. The spellburst goes off and summons another gnome, then the defile ticks again, killing the gnome a second time and triggering a third tick of defile, but not spellburst again as it has already done it’s one off thing. And the sequence ends.

    or

    2. Defile goes off kills the gnome activating a second tick. And then spellburst goes off after the second tick giving you a gnome (plus anything else that died)

I’m inclined to say number 2, because spellburst should work similar to  other “after a spell is played” effects with defile. Defile only causes 1 trigger after all ticks because the recasting is part of the original spell so it acts as one batch. And the recasts don’t count as the player casting/playing them.

Either way not the most useful combo.

Couldn’t give just 1. Being a Mac gamer my list would be a little limited. Blizzard had a lot of my faves.

Starcraft, Diablo 2, Warcraft series Particularly II and III (not reforged), Burning Crusade and Hearthstone of course.

Outside Blizzard I would say the Civ series. Civ V being my favourite. KOTOR. Deus Ex and For Gameboy Zelda Links Awakening.

    There’s loads I could say, I couldn’t  give just 1, sorry.

posted a message on Is there a bug in MMR?
    Quote from AntonydusWurm >>

yes, (although it has nothing do with mmr), i've noticed so many times over the 6 years now, that it can't be coincidence whatsoever

i deliberately play a bunch of games with one archetype and then randomly switch between compeltely different ones

the amount of counters to explicitly these changes are ridiculous. i have 0 doubts currently it's fixed in some way, might have had some a while ago, but it's just so obvious that it is. i mean when they specifically say that the system is trying to keep you at 50% winrate you can figure out the rest of how that would work. they've kinda said it in plain sight in a way

God the tin foil hats and confirmation bias is strong in this thread.

The MMR (or rank when no star bonus) is the only thing that determines how you are matched. Most players should get someone of equal skill/deck strength most game and therefore a roughly 50%There is no hidden smart algorithm that conspires to pit you against counter decks. This is purely confirmation bias. You only notice these things when they go against you and you don’t notice when things are going well. Things like local metas can cause these streaks.

If you really believe this exist please provide the evidence and significance statistical data and not just a “gut feeling”.

Occasional streaks like these are actually statistically expected. It’s not surprising with the thousands if players a few will notice things like this.

“Weekly matchmaking rant by clueless people.

If playing against people with the same mmr (consequently same skill) is disadvantages to f2p and meme deck players then I think you guys had an unfair advantage in the previous system.”

Aaahhahahahaha!!! Lolololol. F2P players have never had an advantage! Bless your heart.

Read the reply by HyperNova two (scam) replies above this one and stop malding.

Oh I see... F2P had an advantage in the old system AND the new system! Ohhh... right on right on. So by not spending anything and not getting access to expansions earlier and stuff and not getting their golden legendaries and not getting the free arena tickets...they’re actually giving themselves at an advantage in both the new and old system?!? Ohhhhh now I get it. Sounds like some butt hurt P2P that didn’t get the ROI they were wanting.... I’ll stop malding now...smirk.

If you had read that post without malding you wouldn't have written this rant.

In the previous season, you would get matched with anyone from Top 200 legend to first-time rank 5 noob.  So one season you get lucky and curb stomp noobs to legend and in another season you get curb stomped for half a month, before making to legend.

In the current season, you almost always play people with similar skill to you, so you always have a fair chance to win.

You can't really complain about rank system stopping you from getting legend cause Hobbs made it to legend with garbage Paladin first time this season and he is playing forever.

Oh goodness, alrighty my brother.. I’m not disputing anything stated about the ranking system. Rigged? Yep... I agree with that. Algorithms that stop your win streaks in their tracks “just because”... yes that’s true too. And nothing has stopped me from making it to legend and that’s not my complaint.

But what I don’t agree with is the assertion that F2P players have an advantage over P2P; in either system. Call it a sub-argument.

“If playing against people with the same mmr (consequently same skill) is disadvantages to f2p and meme deck players then I think you guys had an unfair advantage in the previous system.”

I agree that rewards are easier to get and stuff but folks who pay money obviously get those same rewards AND the benefits of that investment over folks who don’t. Wouldn’t that be the sole incentive to pay money? P2P players saying F2P players have an advantage is funny to me... and I’m not a strictly a F2P player. Bitterness is a stinky cologne.

Anyway we may just be talking past one another at this point so I’ll bow out... good luck to you and happy Hearthstoning my friend!

It is not rigged. There is no magic algorithm that just decides to stop your win streak and you will have no evidence of any such algorithm beyond your own confirmation bias. What stops win streaks is simply the fact a high streak will push you up the MMR and you will start playing better players/better decks and it’s the better players and maybe some bad luck/mistakes that stops your win streak.

You only like to blame some magic algorithm because you can’t admit you made mistakes, had some bad luck or were out played.

The MMR system they use is one based on similar rating systems used in chess and other similar ranking systems they are pretty well known and understood.

If you don’t understand these systems and truly believe there some smart algorithm out there to stop you winning then I’ll point you towards the tin foil hat shop over there ——> .....       It’s next to the flat earth convention and the shop for the lizard people. kappa.

Also no one is saying the systems help F2P, over say people that buy packs, just the new MMR system is better now than it was for them. Under the new system they are now less likely to face high legend players at the start of the season and will more likely play players of similar skill/deck strength.

posted a message on Why the new matchmaking system is a disgrace

Gotta love people that don’t understand MMR.

The whole point of the MMR is to match you as closely as possible to your skill/deck strength so that everyone ends up playing people of roughly they same difficulty/quality, hence why they system will trend towards a 50% win rates.

It not fixed, that’s how it works.

You win more, the more your MMR increases, the better the players or the better the decks they will be running. Simple as that.

This actually favours FTP, new and homebrew players because you are actually kept out of the clutches of high rank legend players, even at the start of a season and play other players of similar MMR.

I'm sorry you can no longer pwn old rank 15-20 noobs with your jank homebrew decks. Boohoo.
